Welcome all December 2024 starters, and November and January starters too😊. As we're almost at the end of the first thread, I thought to start a new one before it finishes.

@Shmee1988 I did 4 weeks of 2.5mg then did 3 weeks of 3.75mg, and I took my first 5mg on Friday. 3.75 worked well for me the first 2 weeks, but the 3rd week suppression wasn't as good so that's why I moved up again. 5mg has been good for suppression, but I have had lots of nausea and a headache, so I'm glad I did the 3.75 first as I think my side effects would have been worse going from 2.5 to 5. But everyone is different of course.

Thanks. I think i might try the 3.75mg. My 5mg pen got delivered today and jab day is tomorrow. How many clicks is 3.75mg? Is it 45? Xx

Goinghome20 · 29/01/2025 21:17

3.75mg is 45 clicks.
I am doing my 3rd tomorrow!

Did a sneaky weigh in today and lost 3lbs thia week... so so happy as Im now dead on 12st. Started at 13.7st!

Wk8d6 todqy so will jab tomorrow morning.
Suppression is lessening now but plan one more week on 3.75mg as Ive been getting really really burpy this week! ... think its all the multi veg soup Im having 😂

JunoRoma · 30/01/2025 07:36

After 5 weeks on 2.5mg then 4 weeks on 3.75mg:
SW 107kg
CW 92.5kg
GW 75kg

Lost 1.5kg this week and 14.5kg in total.

shrinkingthiswinter · 30/01/2025 08:19

Well done on the awesome losses!!

I hit my 10kg off goal this week and since then the scales have stalled for a few days. I'm trying to relax and enjoy the fact that I'm much slimmer and feel better already. But I have got rather used to constant small losses and it's difficult not to get neurotic about this process.

One weird thing - when I wash my hands it's very noticeable that they feel smaller. Bit disconcerting. My feet are also decidedly less fat, so my shoes look nicer.

Goinghome20 · 30/01/2025 08:22

Well done @JunoRoma thats fantastic!

Are you going up to 5mg next?

Have you had any comments yet?

I'm planning to stay on 3.75mg for now.

A couple of colleagues have noticed / commented. I think a lot of people don't notice until you lose around 20% of your body weight, and I'm nowhere near that yet. Also I'm bundled up in winter clothing, some of which is now a size too big.

It's a good thing the weight loss is progressing well, because I'm finding the strength training really tough. I'm managing squats and lunges, but I don't have enough strength in my arms to do a push up or plank; even a modified version with my knees on the floor is a challenge.

Goinghome20 · 30/01/2025 09:07

Well doing squats and lunges is impressive enough! Anf I imagine press ups will be much more achievable as the weight goes down. Maybe I will try one
...in another stones time!

shrinkingthiswinter · 30/01/2025 09:21

@Goinghome20 my neck was the place I lost from first and it got quite crepey at the front. But I noticed this morning that the effect has reduced and it looks distinctly better. Now in a spirit of paranoia I have measured and it's the same smaller diameter. So it seems like the skin tightened up, at least a bit. I hope this carries on and works on other parts of the body. I'm taking collagen and doing plenty of exercise in case this helps.

@JunoRoma my PT got me doing a brilliant exercise called 'worms' or 'snakes' where you start standing, then roll down from the neck so your hands are near the floor, then walk out on your hands into a plank/push up position, then walk your hands back and roll back up. Two years ago I could only do 3 but now I can do 10 in a row quickly. It's like doing a push up because you work arms and shoulders, but it's both easier for your arms and more challenging for the rest of the body. I can't do many push ups yet, but this has definitely helped me work towards them. I would google it to get a video to show you, but fear I would just get lots of unpleasant pictures of creepy crawlies.

Oh well done @LC4life! And thank you for careful documentation, it's really useful to see. I'll try to write all mine down properly one day.

Tonight is my 9th dose and tomorrow is weigh in.

Have any of you suffered itching as a side effect, I know it's on the list as potentials but haven't seen anyone mention it.

This week my stomach has been really itchy, with a slight rash. Focussed around previous injection sites, although for this week I injected in the arm, and that is not itchy.

It's quite uncomfortable and persistent, even when a hydrocortisone cream 😔

Not that I should complain, I know I've got off lightly with very few side effects so far

glittermittens · 31/01/2025 06:28

Good morning, hope you have all had a good week.
Just took my 9th jab, 2nd dose of 5mg. I've weighed and I am 2.6lbs down this week, really pleased with that after only 0.6lb off last week. 5mg is great suppression not much food noise at all until yesterday, but nausea and headaches have been there all week really. Hoping they ease off this week as my body gets used to the higher dose.

Total lost 17.6lbs
SW 14.11.7
CW 13.8.1
TW 11.7

Goinghome20 · 31/01/2025 07:35

Well done @glittermittens thats a good loss. Hope the symptoms ease for you this week.

HesDeadBenYouCanStopNow · 31/01/2025 09:57

Week 8 weigh in

SW 14 stone 3.8 BMI 32.2
CW 12 stone 6.2 BMI 28.1
TW 11 stone BMI 24.9

Im a bit disappointed with todays result as I put on 2lb in the last 2 days, so show zero change this week. But I think it will improve over the weekend as I'm bloated today. I also need to remember that I've lost nearly 26lb in 8 weeks which is awesome. But today I'm a bit glum.

The positive is that I'm not feeling my usual react to feeling down, no desire to comfort eat 😊

W1 -7lb 2.5mg. - 7
W2 -4.4lb 2.5mg. -11.4
W3 -2.4lb 2.5 mg. -13,8
W4 -3lb 2.5mg. -16.8

W6 +0.2lb 2.5mg. -21.6
W7 -4lb 3.75mg. -25.6
W8 0 3.75mg. -25.6

Just catching up on everyone’s messages. It really is helpful to read what is going on with your experiences. I’m sorry if I don’t reply individually but I’m sure I’m not the only one who is benefitting from everyone’s stories so far.
I’m still on a bit of a plateau, hovering around 89/90kg for the last week or so. No food noise, in fact I have to make myself eat and I suspect that I really am not eating enough. I drink lots of fluids and enjoy kefir / yoghurt etc but don’t really want to eat - push it round the plate etc. I ate some mixed unsalted nuts last night and tried an apple but it seemed to sit there in my stomach all night and I woke up feeling quite nauseous.
I’m going to try and treat myself to a zero Guinness and watch the rugby tonight. My girls usually have a pizza on Fridays so let’s see how it goes !
Good luck everyone and keep going x

saltcod · 31/01/2025 18:26

No loss for me this week either, my first week on 5mg 😕. I was really hoping the increased dose would make a difference. Food noise only seems to go away for the first couple of days after my jab.

Making the effort to go out for walks on days I'm not in the office to try and get my steps up and help with the weightloss.

Looking to change suppliers again for my next pen (7.5 mg). Was rejected by IQ Doctor with no reason given. So now waiting for my order to be reviewed by Pharmacy 2U.
