@hopeishere I've also found the opposite. Much more even keeled and steadier in my mood. Much quieter brain in general so anxiety and ADHD symptoms are markedly better on MJ. Not much fun for you that you feel flat on MJ.

hopeishere · 30/12/2024 12:15

That's interesting @TheOtherSide21 and @KolaKoalaKan I went up to 3.75 before Christmas and for a few weeks just felt so so flat.

I'm wondering if I can keep losing on 2.5 and feel ok if I should just stick to that!

Carridoesntlivehereanymore · 30/12/2024 14:44

Start of week 12 today and I've scraped my 2 stone loss!! I want to well and truly nail it for the 1st January so I'm being really careful today and tomorrow. I did 8 weeks of 2.5mg and today is my fourth 3.75mg.

So far only one person has noticed any weight loss. By and large, I'm still in most of the same clothes I started this journey in, I did need to sneak in a new smaller size denim skirt! Since they only look adequate now, I hate to think what they looked like before. I'm finally starting to introduce a couple of smaller skirts which have been loitering in the wardrobe.

Generally, I'm enjoying eating clean and going heavy on the protein and veg/salad, and light on the carbs. I've barely touched anything sweet since October and don't miss it one bit. No takeaways either. I'm perfectly happy with 7% wine, I don't miss stronger wine at all.

Roll on 2025!

I looked at their website and there is nothing on there at all about them being closed over Xmas so I agree it is poor customer service.

I bet it gets posted Monday.

I normally always order mine on a Monday AM. It normally gets posted the same day and then it’s here by the Tuesday. This time was a little slower as they posted a day later then normal.

I can imagine they will have loads of new order the first week of Xmas when all the people who we’re waiting for Christmas to start their diet finally order.

Finally this afternoon my pen has been dispatched!

recklessgran · 30/12/2024 17:01

Is anyone having trouble with MedExpress dispatch? My order was prescribed 2 days ago but has still not dispatched. We're going on holiday on Saturday so I'm getting a bit worried as there won't be anybody here to receive the delivery after that. I've e-mailed them but so far no response.

Asked IQ about maintenance and this was their reply. Bit wishy washy with no real answer.

’possibly beyond’ … seems like they will tell some people yes and some people no I guess.

I also wanted to get my BMI down to 22 so 24 is too high for me.
I may have to switch at some point to one with a real plan.

IQ Doctor have been pretty slow, but as it has been Christmas I'll let them off.

Ordered on boxing day. Order accepted and got an email confirming. Then another email saying the order had been put on hold while I submitted the photos as was swapping providers. Which I did on boxing day. Got an email the day after which was the same as the first saying the order was being processed.

My order has been on "order assembly" since yesterday. So I assume that the prescription was approved?

flowerlady2 · 30/12/2024 18:15

Just checking in to thread 6. Love reading how we are all getting on.
Have hit 2 stone loss since end October- including 2lbs off over Christmas.. Am amazed at that. Took first 7.5mg yesterday and for the first time feeling nauseous, no real desire to eat but bearable. Feeling optimistic for the new year.

SW 16.4
CW 14.4
GW 11.0 I guess..

Fizzleaawayy · 30/12/2024 19:00

Am I the only one that looks at themself in a mirror and think …. I don’t look that bad…

and then you see a picture of themselves and go back to thinking ‘nope I’m still bloody massive, huge arms, chubby face etc!’

FFS 😂😂

Update! Panic over - I've just received Royal Mail delivery tracking - pen apparently arriving tomorrow.
Also really happy to report no apparent side effects from 2.5mgs jab so far which is a big relief after the episode.I had a fortnight ago. Looks like I'm back on track.

HansHolbein · 30/12/2024 19:31

@Fizzleaawayy Funny you should say that.. I said the same thing to my husband earlier 😂 I look at myself in the mirror and think, fine, acceptable. Catch myself in a shop window and FUCK ME!!!! Like two different people. Obviously the shop window is lying.

Unbelievably I have lost 2.8lbs this week. I don’t think I have ever lost weight during Christmas week.

Current stats are

5’5 PCOS
SW 16st 2.7lbs BMI 37.7
CW 13st 8.2lbs BMI 31.7
TL 2st 8.5lbs

Hi, I’ve noticed I feel flat the day after I dose, I just accept it now as one of the side effects and know I’ll feel better soon.
12 weeks in and down 2 st 4lbs.

I've ended up changing my jab day to Friday as I was so knackered Monday/Tuesday when I moved to 7.5mg and was jabbing on a Sunday.

I've just done this too, get to rest on a weekend sometimes!

Weighed in today and gained 3lb.

Bit gutted but last year I would have probably gained 7/8lb and carried it on for weeks. Its also my TOTM (I take the POP which I know Mj messes with but it means I only have a period every 3 or 4 months). On top of all that I've been a bit constipated this week I guess from the change in my diet for a few days. I've had a lovely Christmas though and now to focus on getting rid of those 3lb and making a new mini goal as I still have nearly 8stone to lose.

littleburn · 31/12/2024 09:05

Don't be too disheartened @WafflingDreamer . I bet most of those 3lb are a combo of time of the month, water retention and 💩!

AnneinEdinburgh · 31/12/2024 10:35

I seem to have done a 2lb 💩, no wonder it was a bit sore!

rockingbird · 31/12/2024 11:08

My god I feel like I've been run over by a truck 🥴 I've done the first 5mg dose this week and feel very odd this morning.. both teens are sick with a cold and I'm betting I'm next up! I'm going to clean the house from top to bottom today whilst I can.. some NYE this is going to be lol

Missreginafalange · 31/12/2024 11:23

Morning all

Week 10 weigh in for me and I've lost 1 pound this week which takes me to 2 stone lost with MJ and 2.7 stone overall as lost half a stone before starting.

SW 15.6
CW 13.6
GW 11.0

Part of me is regretting not going up to 7.5mg as I feel the food noise is back a little and I have found myself snaffling stuff that I haven't been previously whilst on MJ but also think this could be down to Christmas and the fact it's been staring me in the face for a week, I don't really drink apart from occasions and have had alcohol and snacky bits should still be grateful I've lost a pound over Christmas.

After todays jab have 3 weeks left at 5mg (use golden dose as well) and then I'll move up, also have had people use my med express code so I have £120 credit which is amazing! But after this am thinking of changing provider to one that offers a maintenance plan as I look towards getting to goal weight, which seems unbelievable as I've struggled with my weight for a while.

Also agree with others on the photo thing, I look in my mirror and thing not bad and then the minute I step out of the house and catch my reflection it look in a mirror in a shop and think Ehhh WTF I didn't look like that indoors 😂

TwinklesToes · 31/12/2024 15:07

Checking in.

surreygirl1987 · 31/12/2024 17:28

NSV - just went for a run. Well, not a run really... the first couch to 5km session. I can FEEL the weightloss! I've lost 2 stone 3 lbs in just over 2 months, and when I run I can feel the difference.

I have felt like a truck hit me though, since starting 5mg. But on the upside, the weight is falling off. I started on 13th October at more then 6 stone 3, and wanted to get down to 14 stone by the end of the year.... this morning I broke into the 13 stone bracket 🙌🙌

And yes, I look thin in my mirror, but I look horrendous in photos still!!

Ah 13th October was also my day 1 and have also lost 31pounds so far!

Very impressive doing running- I've not managed anything that energetic yet! I'm not sure I ever could run, even in my distant slim youth!

But know what you mean re feeling the weight loss. I feel so light now and it's easy walking up a couple of flights of stairs. Before this I was struggling even with that!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 31/12/2024 18:27

Post Christmas weigh in this morning and I lost 1lb! I can’t believe it, I have never, ever lost weight Christmas week. Happy new year to you all, I shall be celebrating with a small glass of baileys and a game of scrabble 😂
