Firstly I wouldn’t have got another full dose out of the pen. Also I don’t keep it in the fridge after opening, and as it was the bonus dose, it’s already been open nearly a month and it would take it past the 30 days. I don’t usually have that much extra left over but I didn’t take a full dose last week. Not sure yet if I am going up to 10mg next week or staying on 7.5mg so I didn’t want to take any extra.

Sorry I thought I had read you had 11.5mg left in your previous comment? So assumed you could get an extra dose out if that, be it 7.5mg or 10mg.

Sorry I meant I had 11mg left total out of the pen, but then did the bonus dose out of that.

Fizzleaawayy · 28/12/2024 17:34

So I have been on MJ for 11 weeks now and Iv lost 37.5lbs.

I worked out today My holiday to the Bahamas is 13 weeks away and I would love to get off another 2 stone, ideally 3🤣

@Fizzleaawayy That's amazing! I'm about the same length of time and I'm really hoping to hit my 2 stone loss for New Year

I've had two nsv's : I got my engagement ring off a couple of weeks ago for the first time in years! And we were out at the Xmas lights in a NT garden and I found I could walk back up the hill relatively easily! That's the twice weekly swimming and the weight loss combined for that. So very nice not to be the one huffing and puffing!!

Mysticmaiden2024 · 28/12/2024 18:16

NSV I dropped my car to garage amd walked to town and back over 6k steps altogether and climbed up 4 flights of stairs and wasnt out of breath at all, this would have normally left me unable to talk for at least a few mins and tiredness in my leg muscles!

Morning all and thanks for the new thread.
I've had a lovely Christmas. I took 5mg the week before last and it kicked my ass - very nauseous, tired and just bleurgh for 3 days. So I dropped back to 3.75 last week. It worked well for me, enough suppression to not go OTT (and boy do I usually go OTT - I can easily put on half a stone over Christmas week and usually a stone over December). Anyway, I enjoyed what I had - a few crisps, mince pie, couple of chocolates and plenty for protein and veg.
Weighed this morning and I've STS which I am absolutely delighted with. As others have said, I feel completely back in control today - upped my water, having soup for lunch and a salad for tea, no feelings of deprivation at all.

Jab day for me tomorrow although we are visiting family so might hold off until Monday just so I'm not rushing it, also got to decide if to try 5mg again.

Lovely updates from everyone. Thank you. And happy Chrimbo-limbo

Oh hang on - I've felt really rubbish and exhausted the last few days, but have taken 5mg.... could that be why?! I had no side effects at all on 2.5mg so wasn't really looking for any!

MissSmith80 · 28/12/2024 21:35

@surreygirl1987 I took 2.5 for 5 weeks, then 3.75 for 3 or 4, hardly any side effects. Took 5 and it properly knocked me for 6. I really didn't want to risk feeling that way for Chrimbo. I think I'll do 5 again tomorrow because we've got no NYE plans but it wasn't pleasant although was only 3 days then eased off to nothing again. I read on another thread that it's fairly common to feel a real difference when you get to 5mg.

surreygirl1987 · 28/12/2024 22:59

That's so interesting! I've been properly shattered the last few days and wondering why! This might explain it. Thanks!

Mrsmajeeka · 28/12/2024 23:37

@MissSmith80 what side effects did you have on the 5? I did 2 months on 2.5, then one jab at 3.75 and then one 50 clicks which I think would work out to 4.16 but I was so ill last week both ends, I’m not sure what to do again on Monday whether to drop back to 2:5 or 3.75, no side effects at all until last week.

Searchingforthelight · 29/12/2024 07:25

I've weighed this morning- cannot believe have lost 2.5 pounds for Christmas week! In the past I probably gained that on Christmas eve/ day alone!

I didn't track for a big social day last Sunday, or Christmas eve/ day/ boxing day, but lived happily on turkey, seafood and veg/salad/ fruit. I tracked and kept my other days under 1100 ( my daily deficit ). I also drank plenty prosecco! I would have been happy to STS under those circumstances and cannot believe I am 2.5 down

Gotta love those scientists for this miraculous drug!

lapuf · 29/12/2024 08:34

Jab day for me today, been staying with family so off plan a bit but back on it tomorrow. Going to stick to 3.75 tonight I think. I still have enough in my second pen to do that dose but it's day 35 so thinking probably not Hmm

I've ended up changing my jab day to Friday as I was so knackered Monday/Tuesday when I moved to 7.5mg and was jabbing on a Sunday.

TheOtherSide21 · 29/12/2024 09:06

I’ve not updated in a while!

Total loss for me is 4 stone 2lbs - officially over half way to my goal weight. I took my second 10mg yesterday. Still zero side effects. I noticed as I neared the 4 stone mark, my weight loss started to significantly slow down. I was averaging 3.5lbs + a week the last six or so weeks, last week I only lost 2lbs. Which is actually a much healthier, sustainable loss. However I am thankful I shifted a fair bit first as it’s good for the motivation.

I am now smaller than I was in 2018, and a few weeks ago I excitedly raided the back of my wardrobe for clothes I desperately wanted to wear again… and they were all too big! Refusing to buy anything new at the minute so just struggling by with things hanging off me.

Amazing 👏🏼

Interesting about weight loss slowing as you neared 4 stone. I’ve lost 3.5 stone and have noticed a change, but like you say I’m also happy with a healthier 2lb per week.

Losingthetimber · 29/12/2024 09:44

Well blimey had not pooed for a couple of days, so took senoket after dinner last night, been 4 times this morning. All normal, no runs, but yikes. 😂

also slept like a log, 9 hours straight, after my jab yesterday morning, and now suppressed properly again, as was struggling yesterday a bit and had to use willpower. Which In itself is fine.

off with friends for four days tomorrow, so that will be interesting food and drink wise. No idea what to pack as I’ve literally one pair of jeans that fit, all others are either too big (well that’s the one pair I had kept after the clean out) and look crap or the other four pairs I kept are still too small, and yup. Also look crap. Muffin top city sigh, and uncomfortable too, so not taking them. Hmmm..

Evenstar · 29/12/2024 09:46

I have indulged a little bit over Christmas, took my jab yesterday, but had an awful night last night, awake from 3am just feeling completely out of sorts. Back on plan today, as although I haven’t had diarrhoea or vomiting I just feel really tired and unwell eating sugar and carbs.

I haven’t gained much, but really don’t want to have any more “treats”, the way they make me feel even in moderation is not a treat.

igivein · 29/12/2024 09:51

Weigh-in day for me and there’s been a Christmas miracle - I’ve lost 2lbs! I don’t think there’s ever been a Christmas week before where I haven’t gained weight (and I’m nearly 61 so that’s a lot of Christmas’ 😁).

SW: 20st 2lb
CW: 17st 0lb

Really hoping the scales move down into the 16s next week.

I’m going to order some syringes to get the bonus dose out of my 5mg pen next week before moving up to 7.5mg the following week. How many mls would be a full dose?

Ok well I’m truly back to my ‘normal’ self now of looking in the cupboards and not fancying anything in them!

Same, feel so much better now suppression is back as I've gone up a dose. Last week been very hungry and resisted until yesterday had lots of cheese and snacks 🙈 today I'm a different person thank god for MJ

TwinklesToes · 29/12/2024 13:59

Checking in

TwinklesToes · 29/12/2024 14:03

NSV for me, went into a clothes shop and bought a “free” size jumper, not been able to do this for nearly 8 years. Hoping my sugars have reduced when I have my next blood test in January.

HansHolbein · 29/12/2024 14:48

@mincepieinthesky How are you getting on?

HansHolbein · 29/12/2024 14:51

@MissSmith80 I had the same on 7.5; made me feel like shit tbh. Dreading taking it again later. Ordered another month of 7.5. If it happens again I will go back to 5. Fingers crossed for me it won’t be so awful this week.
