Hope you have been seen @doodleschnoodle x

sylv165 · 19/12/2024 07:49

Oh no @doodleschnoodle! I have heard that gallstone pain is unbearable so I hope you have had some relief. Hopefully you have been seen and all is ok

mimosa1 · 19/12/2024 08:02

Oh @doodleschnoodle I hope you feel better very soon.

EBoo80 · 19/12/2024 08:27

Poor thing @doodleschnoodle - keep us posted. My husband has lost a lot of weight this year without Mounjaro (annoyingly, in my view 😁) and has developed gallstones. It’s definitely about rapid weight loss not the drug, so hopefully you won’t be told to stop (unless you want to). He’s been told to avoid rich food over Christmas which is harsh.

Bumblebeehum · 19/12/2024 08:34

Wishing you all the best @doodleschnoodle we’re all waiting to hear from you 💐

doodleschnoodle · 19/12/2024 08:52

Thanks so much everyone! Still here having some tests but they think it's possibly gastritis if not gallstones, as my bloods are apparently more indicative of gastritis (and I'm having a lot of acid reflux).

Hoping I can get home soon, but having an ECG and some other bits done first. Not how I expected to spend my Wednesday night but glad it doesn't seem to be anything too sinister. Can't believe the pain of it though! I've had two kids and I'd definitely take that over whatever that was last night!

Thank you for all the well wishes, DH couldn't stay as we have no childcare so he took me to hospital with the kids and then took them home to bed again, so it has been nice to feel like I'm not alone!

sylv165 · 19/12/2024 09:03

Hopefully it’s gastritis rather than a gallbladder issue. Crossing my fingers that the tests all come back clear and you get home soon

Doggymummar · 19/12/2024 09:20

Take care @doodleschnoodle that sounds rough as. I hope they can diagnose and get you treatment.

20bloodypounds · 19/12/2024 18:48

@doodleschnoodle I hope you are home from hospital now, and feeling better.

I had a lovely lunch out with friends - lots of small tasty portions. Just right!

SpiderMother · 19/12/2024 19:23

Hope you are feeling better @doodleschnoodle

doodleschnoodle · 19/12/2024 19:47

I'm home! Tired and sore but discharged with gastritis diagnosis and given some medication to reduce acid. I asked if it was related to jabs and they were non-committal. Said it could just be the weight loss, or that my eating habits have changed and my body is adjusting and there's too much acid as a result, or could be that because jab slows down passage of stuff through stomach, if I eat something that irritates me it will sit there longer and do more damage. So not really much the wiser, but I'm going to avoid anything spicy (had chilli for dinner last night, which wasn't even that spicy really!) for now and see how I go,

mimosa1 · 19/12/2024 20:24

Pleased to hear you're home and feeling better @doodleschnoodle

SpottyBumPony · 19/12/2024 20:41

@doodleschnoodle Sorry to hear you have been so poorly

SpiderMother · 19/12/2024 21:21

Weigh and jab day. Injection 16.

weekly loss - 1.6 lbs
total mj loss - 30.3 lbs
total loss - 36.3 lbs

This week my BMI has gone down to 24.9 which is so exciting. I’m aiming for BMI of 22.5 which is another 13.4 pounds so less than a stone to go. If I don’t stall, that’s about another 9 weeks to go.

Not sure how I’m feeling this week though. Anxious about Christmas and getting side tracked and not being able to get back on track, and just tired and run down. I’ve had a UTI this week for the first time, two cold sores and my period 10 days early. I also seem to be bruising really easily which is apparently a MJ thing so I’m upping vitamins. Overall could really do with some sunshine!

InfoSecInTheCity · 19/12/2024 23:06

Hope you're feeling better @doodleschnoodle

Well done @SpiderMother must be an amazing feeling to get into the healthy range!

According to the trendline on my graph, it would be possible for me to move into Healthy during Feb. So that's something to look forward to.

Fantastic @SpiderMother BMI less than 25. Sounds like a good plan to keep going for a bit to give you some wiggle room.

@InfoSecInTheCity your graph is fantastic, and I like the way it projects into the future. Even if it ends up being not quite as linear it must be motivating to anticipate that point within the first quarter of 2025.

I've taken a half dose of MJ today, can't risk feeling unwell over Christmas. I'm the one who is doing all the shopping and cooking and if my appetite is too supressed I'll just be serving tinned soup!

mimosa1 · 20/12/2024 10:12

Congratulations @SpiderMother - I'm several kilos away from it and cannot wait. Well done you.

OvaHere · 20/12/2024 11:10

Sorry to hear you were so ill @doodleschnoodle hope you are better now.

I'm struggling a bit this week. I've been fortunate to not have a lot of side effects but every so often I have a rough few days. I'm on my second 7.5 pen and my 3rd one has just been dispatched. I jabbed on Wed and I've had a couple of days of bad nausea which ended up in me throwing up last nights food this morning. I'll probably be fine by tomorrow and through the weekend but when I have days like this I start to wonder how long I want to keep going. A few days ago it felt amazing but now I feel like shit. I suppose ups and downs are to be expected but the downs are difficult to manage around other responsibilities.

MissBPotter · 20/12/2024 12:07

Congratulations @SpiderMother and commiserations to @doodleschnoodle but hope things Improve for you!

i am due to receive my next pen today and will jab today or tomorrow probably. Although I’ve been getting a raised red rash at the injection site the last two times and I’m not very happy about it.

my bmi is now 25.4 so not too far off a healthy weight. Think this might be my last pen.

REALLY hope I manage to keep making good choices and avoid the food dopamine hit. Have not missed eating crap at all!

NSV I'm now at a safe weight for my surgery. It's going to be completely life changing for me. Still a long long way to go but I'm on the move.

Congratulations, I am waiting for a hysterectomy, what are you having?

Same. I'm roughly the size of being six months pregnant and in almost constant pain. After gynae issues all my life it should be a complete new life for me.

That’s great! I hope you feel a lot better after the surgery.

I have lost 0.5lb this week however I had 2 meals out at the start of the week and I was 2lb heavier midweek so I wasn’t expecting a big loss this week. I have lost 26lb in total and my BMI is currently 26. I am so close to having lost 2st! I really wanted to get that by Christmas, but it doesn’t really matter, does it. I’ve come a long way and I’m in a much better place than I was this time last year.

Orangesandlemons77 · 21/12/2024 13:04

I've lost 2.5 stone now, things are going Ok. But I drank 3 glasses of wine last night which was a big mistake. It was the first alcohol I have had on mounjaro.

Been up in the night feeling awful, diarrhoea, shakiness, really daft thing to do and will steer clear in future. I think it was the stress of Christmas as I don't usually crave alcohol.

Have a good Christmas all of you

MandarinDentistTiger · 21/12/2024 20:32

Mid-week weigh in, I've lost 2 1/4lbs. My weight does go up and down over the week. We will see.

I always feel very bloated the day after I've injected, very uncomfortable. I am trying to drink lots and have fibre.
