Anyone else lost their bottom? Pic attached - be warned!

My bottom is literally as flat as a pancake. I'm not in the first flush of youth either so it's probably worse than it would be if I was say, 25!

Anyone else?

Do exercises that build your glutes. Weight bearing exercise is beneficial for women, particularly as we get older. It helps with bone density.

PoliticallyErect · 28/11/2024 10:41

@NigelHarmansNewWife I'm actually going to have to because it's just terrible

I'll have to find something I can do daily and keep up!

@CustardCreams2 you know you're on the injectables weight loss bot of MN yes? Grin

It looks normal besides being a bit saggy (sorry, not trying to be mean). Did you have a bum before or was it fat that made it look bigger? A lot of women look like this naturally (maybe without the sag). The sag would be from weightloss just like there would be saggy skin elsewhere like belly if you lost a lot of weight there.

Some people have considered a buttlift but I don't know much about it. Exercise might help to tone it up but not sure about making it bigger without some fat.

PoliticallyErect · 28/11/2024 11:13

@IsItSomethingIAte yes that's the word for it - saggy. And not really, I've never carried weight on my bum particularly but it wasn't flat before due to being 5 stone heavier

I suppose it's just loose skin too maybe

Have you lost a lot of weight? I thought these weight loss jabs were for clinically obese people

PoliticallyErect · 28/11/2024 11:22

@Hoppinggreen yes a fair bit. My starting bmi was 36 or so. It's now about 23 so I'm starting to come off the injections now and taper down

Yes that would be it I think. It's the weightloss and resulting loose skin. I'd check out bum exercise videos for toning up or some bum lifting knickers. There's bum lift surgery but it seems a bit too far unless you don't mind. x

Xmasmunkeh · 28/11/2024 11:24

Mines the same.
Few lbs from goal then I'm going to have to start squats!

PoliticallyErect · 28/11/2024 11:24

@IsItSomethingIAte I have to pass on the Brazilian butt lift surgery as I don't fancy that! I had a tummy tuck in 2020 and the recovery from that was bad enough - and I was able to sit down!!

Strength training your glutes will make a big difference as long as you stick at it and increase the weight as you go along

Lexy70 · 28/11/2024 11:34

Yes, same pancake arse here. But in the scale of losing over three stone I'll take the flat arse!! X

I wish I could have a TT!
You look so good

Lexy70 · 28/11/2024 11:35

Ps you look amazing. Great legs and figure. Well done x

CoastalCalm · 28/11/2024 11:36

Mine is always flat whatever I weigh

Floralnomad · 28/11/2024 11:38

These things happen , I’ve lost over 1 1/2 stone ( not on injectables) and I’d say 90% has come off my bum and tops of my legs , which is unfortunate as they weren’t big in the first place as I carry all my weight on my belly ( steroid belly) . I always lose off my bum first .

Birdscratch · 28/11/2024 11:39

Donkey kicks are really good for targeting the glutes and they’re also help improve balance and core strength.

Menopants · 28/11/2024 11:39

Try body pump it’s done wonders for my arse

Singleandproud · 28/11/2024 11:40

Invest in a pair of padded pants?

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 28/11/2024 11:40

As a pp has said, this is muscle loss. Aesthetics aside, it's incredibly important for women to have strong glutes because of the role that they play in stabilising your pelvis (including the pelvic floor), hips, and knees.

You can start with squats and split squats. Do them while you wait for the kettle to boil, or hold a squat while you brush your teeth. Bridges are very effective too.

bigkidatheart · 28/11/2024 11:48

Eat more protein, squats with weights, creatine helps build muscle i've heard but its not something I have looked into say may be worth researching

I lost a lot off my boobs 🙄

Interlaken · 28/11/2024 11:50

You look great, and I am very jealous of your room.

RogueRascal · 28/11/2024 11:50

Sadly weight loss seems to do this, I lost mine after shedding my post pregnancy weight and I ALWAYS had a decent bum before :( now my clothes hang off it…. No advice but you have my sympathy

Hoppinggreen · 28/11/2024 11:53

DH lost 3 stone on Keto and it all went off his bum, legs and face but not his tummy - he looks a bit Jeremy Clarkson now 😔
He says he is going to build up his legs and bum with weights and exercise though
