SilenceInside · 04/10/2024 10:17

What is your actual current weight and height? And so also your BMI?

Which providers have you tried?

Pavolvaa · 04/10/2024 10:18

Buffypaws · 04/10/2024 10:20

Well I wore about 80 pairs of pants in my photo so you could try that

SilenceInside · 04/10/2024 10:21

So your BMI is coming out at just under 30, at around 29.9. You might need to look at one of the providers who do consultations like Oushk, I think. You can have a conversation, phone or video, and discuss your options.

Okayornot · 04/10/2024 10:22

If your BMI is under 30 you will need other medical conditions to qualify.

How do these skinny celebs get it ??

Pavolvaa · 04/10/2024 10:25

It’s crazy it almost motivates you to gain weight to qualify

Doesn't matter.

You do not qualify. Therefore you need to find other resolutions. Don't lie.

Illegally. Bought from dodgy beauticians, or passed on from a "friend of a friend". Stupid, illegal and dangerous.

Or, they're based in the US where money talks when it comes to prescribing.

Rather than think about the idea that it's motivating you to gain weight, think about the fact that these providers are telling you that you don't need these medications. You don't have a lot of weight to lose to be in the healthy weight category. You are not obese. These are good things.

What other weight loss approaches have you been trying, so far?

Pavolvaa · 04/10/2024 10:31

I have tried calorie counting, already eat healthy and gym it’s too much extra junk and portion size in my case.

Pavolvaa · 04/10/2024 10:32

Tried fasting

Same way they continued to get Botox fillers and hair appointments during lockdown and the same way they get other drugs!

EBoo80 · 04/10/2024 10:39

Hello - I’ve heard of other people tweaking their height down an inch to increase their BMI. Since you’re so close to the threshold, and since people routinely stay on it until their BMI is 25 and lower, I don’t see it as a big deal. Or wait and weigh the week before your period, if that’s a time that you retain a few extra LBs.

EBoo80 · 04/10/2024 10:42

PS - when I applied the Voy system was broken and it approved me on a weight (which I hadn’t entered) of 199 stones, when my picture shows a size 16 woman with a big belly. And it was approved. So the clinical oversight is clearly mostly automated. And that’s with one of the expensive providers!

Pavolvaa · 04/10/2024 10:42

Yes this is very unfair people stay on till 25 BMI! Thanks think I will do it end of the day at the time of the month!

I wouldn't lie or make yourself heavier just to get it. There are guidelines for a reason and I'd be worried about safety if I ignored them.

DO NOT DO THIS!!!

The prescription criteria are strict because this is a serious medication. You could make yourself seriously ill.

Wow! To look bulky/fat/obese when you aren't?

SilenceInside · 04/10/2024 10:49

JFC the state of people advising you how to lie to access prescription medication.... FFS.

Don't lie, you need to be honest and accurate in any consultation in order to be safely prescribed, or not.

Stand on the scales and hold something heavy (eg hand weights) while taking a photo of your feet on the scale.

This isn't a good advice.

Some of the advice on this thread is satire right? Please tell me it’s satire?
