@NippyCrab You are very welcome!😊

Glittermoonlight · 14/09/2024 18:38

4th jab done.
SW 13st 11
CW 12st 13
This week I’ve been weighing myself daily, which I don’t normally do, & amazed at the fluctuations, can vary 2/3lbs up, 2/3lbs down etc..etc…!!! A good reminder of how weight constantly changes.
I’m noticing that the suppression is not as strong this week as in the first 2 weeks, so body definitely getting used to the medication, 5mg pen in the fridge,& I think I’ll go up next week & not do the bonus.
So getting good practice on the will power, really feel MJ is the shove I needed to finally change my lifestyle, and am determined not to waste this opportunity or money.

Wingingit11 · 14/09/2024 18:38

Does anyone else feel their motivation is drying up? I’m going a bit off radar with being strict - not that I fancy food like pre MJ I suppose I’m just less engaged in a health drive….. aiming to go to 5mg tomorrow so maybe that will give me a boost

up to 5 from 4. I don’t know now why I didn’t just go from 2.5 to 5 rather than 3 bonus, 3.75, 4. The scars stories put me off but now worried I have fcked up the titration

I’m sure you haven’t- we’re all just learning about MJ, it’s such a new drug for us.
It’s always easy thinking about what we should have done in retrospect, & it’s hard not to be affected by other peoples experiences, but we have to remind ourselves that medication reacts differently for all of us. Also weight loss is different for all of us, somehow we’ve got to try & focus on the end goal.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2024 19:09

It's a learning curve for us all

Nope, this is costing way too much money for me to be fucking up and losing motivation! But I had the bonus dose with just turning the pen and then moved on to 5mg.

Family had a chip shop dinner today which I even went to pick up and I still made a chicken salad whilst they had that, the thought of eating a chip shop dinner makes me feel bloated let alone actually eating one!

Wingingit11 · 14/09/2024 19:50

@Princessandthepie I succumbed to lasagne last night and had a dodgy belly overnight - won’t be doing that again! But otherwise maybe it’s actually just that it’s less of a novelty on a restricted diet whereas in the first month / six weeks it was all very different

@Wingingit11 there's a lot of food I have cut out.
I do eat pasta and rice still but I make sure I'm weighing all my food and counting calories so I'll have 100g or 150g of pasta and I'm OK with that. I had pizza and the bloat wasn't worth it so I've not had it again. I haven't had takeaways since starting, still not had alcohol, I'm not raiding/grazing in the biscuit/chocolate tin. I do occasionally have a little bit of chocolate but that's maybe twice a week instead of twice a day.

And I don't really miss any of it.

I have bought the protein puddings and mousses and sometimes have half a pot with berries in as a dessert, if I fancy it but it's not often. However, I only got these to up my protein rather than the want of a dessert and wanted something other than more chicken!

poppym12 · 14/09/2024 20:52

I've struggled with hunger today @Wingingit11. I'm due my first 5mg tomorrow after 5 weeks of 2.5 (including bonus dose) and I really hope it helps me to get back to the mindset I've been in since I started.

I've just had a protein bar as for the first time in ages I fancied something sweet so rather than raid the fridge I've convinced myself that an extra boost of protein isn't too harmless (even though its put me over my 1200 calorie limit).

I think also, I'm starting to really dread or fear how much weight I've got to lose. I'm over a stone lighter than I was when I started but it seems like such a massive task right now, chipping away at it bit by bit. I know it's got to be done and I'm not going to stop but I think the euphoria of the big early losses has worn off.

Just came across this on tiktok and thought of you lot who can't poop!

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2024 21:13

Diabetics take this drug ans that's how they knew it helped with weight loss as many lost weight

Was wondering what dose do they take and do they take it daily or still weekly

Pinkjenny · 14/09/2024 22:30

I managed to get salmon with new potatoes at the football and I didn't drink any alcohol. But then we got home and dd and her boyfriend had made creamy Nandos pasta, I ate the leftovers and fair to say I feel sick as a dog now.

This is only the second time in three weeks I've eaten something heavy and felt sick, but lesson learnt.

Again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2024 22:40

As I said a learning curve @Pinkjenny

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/09/2024 22:41

Just had a measure as feel
Bleugh at no loss this week and hungry

Hips lost 6cm
Waist lost 2cm
Thigh lost 5cm
Arms lost 1cm
Boobs lost /cm

That makes me feel a bit better - 15cm lost over body

mm81736 · 15/09/2024 06:06

After being stuck on a plateau for about 10 days, I had a day eating more and WHOOSH 2 kg down!

I am on rhe second week of 5g and the suppression is good but the constipation is not! Never had it on 2.5

Great news!

I feel more constipated on 5mg too, even though I'm having brankflakes every day and drinking lots of water! It's driving me mad!

Makelikeatreeandleaf · 15/09/2024 09:10

Did my first 5mg yesterday. Had a dreadful night of hideous indigestion/reflux again. I think Rennie's are now my most eaten food group. 10 lb down in total. I need to drink more water this week, I find it harder when the weather is cold. Pinkjenny I'm the same with anything heavy, I think eating late (anything after 6.30 really) doesn't suit my system either.

FlappingMadly · 15/09/2024 09:32

Yes @Wingingit11 I’m definitely relying on will power but trying to view it as practice for life without MJ. Looking forward to titrating up!

FlappingMadly · 15/09/2024 09:43

Hurrah for whooshes, cms down and learning curves. Good news all round!
I peed twice during the night which is unusual. And overnight my inner thighs have become lumpy and wobbly, argh! Guess who’s googling the hell out of leg exercises.

Princessandthepie · 15/09/2024 09:55

Another 1lb off this morning.

SW 15 stones 8lbs
CW 14 stones 4lbs
Total loss 18lbs in 43 days

There have been places where I've not lost anything for a few days so I've added my graph from My Fitness Pal to show you.

Overall, I'm happy with my progress but the things I need to work on are this bloody constipation and exercising more. I've definitely up the exercise as we are walking more on the school runs but I can do more.

It's a huge learning curve with everything. How food can control you, this is the longest I've ever stuck to a healthy eating regime and not struggled. I'm an emotional and boredom eater, also having MH conditions I've had to deal with situations rather than use food as a comfort or fck it, I deserve it moment. I've dug out my notes I got last year from a MH programme I attended for 12 weeks and boy it's eye opening reading my reactions that included food. I baked a lot, ate most of it haha. I struggle when my Husband leaves for work again, he's away 10 days, home for 3 and for the first time I don't turn to food. I dont feel disgusted looking at my body, I actually see myself slim and happier. I know it's not the be all and end all being slim but I do think I'm addressing other issues with life along the way in my journey.
That's my Sunday blurb for this week 😊😂 xxx

Get some resistance bands, I use them for physio and they really work xx

FlappingMadly · 15/09/2024 10:05

Thanks! @NippyCrab
I have the bands. Need to use them and eights more regularly.
