After reading about Oushk maintenance plans I placed my order for 15mg with them over the weekend. Called this morning to arrange collection (in Manchester) which they were lovely about and invited me in.

Hira came to say hi and we ended up talking for a good 15 minutes. She seems absolutely on ball with what their plans are and mentioned she works closely with Lilly to keep up to date. Final details will be coming out end of Aug/ early Sept.

She has a positive attitude and very forward way of thinking and said “she loves learning from patients and is constantly finding ways to improve”.

Was a little apprehensive about switching from Superdrug but meeting her actually put my mind at ease and I’m glad there are companies who are a little different. Would definitely recommend

Hello

I know it's probably been asked before so apologies if I'm just repeating. I have seen delays with medexpress mentioned here. Just wondering if thisnis still the case as I am looking to order from them this time due to a huge blue light card discount. Ive only ever ordered from one supplier so far so a little clueless about this process.

My last order was approved and sent out the same day. This was a week and a half ago. It seems random.

Yes it's definitely the case, ordered last Thursday, still waiting for approval, there were some queries over my dose and other things but all quickly resolved but still no pen prescribed. If no confirmation by the end of the day I'm going to request an Immediate refund. They are much worse than Zava, absolutely awful

butterfly0404 · 21/08/2024 08:53

@Pinkyp22 how much is the Blue Light discount please ? I'm not NHS but adjacent in both NHS and Social Care, looking at my eligibility

DreamingofGinoclock · 21/08/2024 08:58

With med express I have noticed when things are straightforward things go through quickly...so when going up a dose ...I think this is because they use an element of AI so the system flags as fine and prescriber just needs to approve without looking into anything

Times I have waited longer have been when I have ordered the same dose as the system likely flags this a a prescriber having to do a manual check so it takes longer to work it's way through system

Also I have seen other suppliers mention low 5mg stock so I wonder if it's the same with Med express they may have to wait for deliveries sometimes if low on a particular dose ...I think there are a lot of people who stick on 5mg for a bit as they find it works well for them

The above are just my guesses / speculation so I may be totally wrong

On the blue light card I saw recently that teachers ( I am not one...or any other blue light card profession) can now get one ...just thought I would pop that here in case it helps anyone.

Although I think most teachers likely know as when it started to become well known that they could apply the amount of traffic broke the website and I think they now have their own landing page!

guestusername · 21/08/2024 09:24

Blue Light discount for MedExpress is 30% off new orders only. Nowt for existing customers with BLC but if you use TopCashback there’s 1.7% for existings. Not much but better than nothing

Yes this makes sense.

This morning I have hit 3 stone loss exactly - I've been calling my loss a 3 stone loss for the last 2 pounds as it seemed so close! So that's 3 stone in 18 weeks/4.5 months.

I'm a broken record but I have never had such consistent loss! On Weight Watchers when I lost weight years ago, it took me 3 months to lose ONE stone so over time I'd lose 1/2 a pound per week! I just thought I was a slow loser until I discovered Keto where I lost 2.5 stones in 5 months, so Mounjaro has still been the fastest for me, though it averages out at a recommended 2.3lb per week which is perfect.

As much as they say it's best to lose 1 - 2lb per week for safety and to keep it off, I don't know if anybody ever actually manages to lose 2lb CONSISTENTLY each week or have that average doing other plans?

3 stone marks my half way to my 'dream' goal weight too which is mental to think that in another 18 weeks I could be there, from 15st8 start weight, 12st8 now and 9st8 by Christmas day (which when we hit September will feel just around the corner!) 😲

SnacklessWonder · 21/08/2024 09:52

My scales haven't moved in 5 days, up or down, so a bit frustrated today but need to keep reminding myself it's only week 2. However am in a calorie deficit, exercising, drink shedloads of water.

SnacklessWonder · 21/08/2024 09:54

I'm due to take 3rd dose on Sunday - I order with MedExpress so accounting for delays etc when should I order my next pen do you think? After 3rd dose?

Snozzlemaid · 21/08/2024 09:56

I usually order around third dose as by then I've mostly decided whether to stay on same dose or go up for next pen.

diian · 21/08/2024 10:07

Thanks for the heads-up about the Blue Light card for teachers and Med Express.

Quidco do 7.5% back for new Med Express customers and 1.5% back for existing customers. Put the Med Express purchase on a Chase card and you get another 1% back (comes up as 'Boots').

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 21/08/2024 10:10

103.05kg down 0.5 from yesterday.

A loss is a loss and I'll take it and it's a slow, very slow downwards trend but this is also the lowest I've been.

I don't know if any one else crochets or knits or otherwise makes their own clothes but it's been hard halting or undoing any WIPs and waiting till I'm a smaller size, when there are so many things I want ready for autumn and winter. I suppose I have got time to start on making Christmas gifts now though.

Had a break for 8 weeks from MJ. Wanted to lose the remaining stone so ordered from MedExpress.
Had to go back on 2.5mg and I don’t feel the effects at all.
I was in 5mg when I stopped.

Aitchtee · 21/08/2024 10:12

18lbs lost in 5 weeks. Partly ‘helped’ by the side effects of d and v I think. Still, a loss is a loss!

2.5mg isn't a therapeutic dose so it's OK to not feel anything even if the first time round you did.

It's simply to make sure that when you get to 5mg+ you don't experience terrible side effects.

If you had good losses before, try not to worry. It's a marathon not a race and as others have pointed out on other threads learning to pace yourself is just as important so after maintenance you maintain most of your losses, so start as you mean to go on.

Also that last stone is always stubborn, but we're here to support you.

Welcome back!

It is 30%
There are quite a few pharmacies offering discounts with a blue light card. Some are for first time customers, some can be repeated.

Hi all, I have been trying to keep up with the threads, great to see so many people on here now, and the losses are amazing! 🤗

I have now lost 20lb/9.1kg since starting 8 weeks ago. It's been steady at just over a kg per week so can't complain about that. Took my first 7.5mg on Friday, felt absolutely exhausted on Sunday, had to go to bed in the afternoon. Sorry that a few of you are experiencing bad side effects, mine just seems to be fatigue, but I have Fibromyalgia so hard to differentiate, I feel better than I did on Sunday. Don't feel as though I have much suppression as I am feeling hungry, which is good as I'm getting back into a regular 3 meals a day routine. I still get full quickly. My husband said he's noticed that I'm not eating half as much as I used to (he doesn't know I'm on MJ teehee), so it's definitely working lol.

Is anyone else fed up of the constant 'taking away the diabetics medication' narrative? I posted on a FB advert that MJ was working really well for me, and got a barrage of abuse from diabetics who now can't get their meds and the 'eat less move more' keyboard warriors 🙄

butterfly0404 · 21/08/2024 12:00

After a gentle nudge my Med Express order is now approved, and the pesky yo yo kilo has now gone:-) All is well :-)

Pinkbendyman · 21/08/2024 13:31

@OnInstagramAsMounjaroJourneyUK congratulations!!! You look great 😊

I’m also celebrating a huge victory today - 12 stone 13lbs! The first time I’ve weighed under 13 stone for over a decade.

A total of 40 pounds lost in 14 weeks and only 11 pounds to left to lose to reach a healthy BMI

Plus, and this is also amazing - I’ve never eaten so healthy as I have been doing since I started my MJ journey in May. The overall impact this has had on my body has been incredible ☺️

The diabetes debate is annoying. Most of the people complaining are misinformed and assuming they can't get MJ because we're buying it. It's more likely they aren't getting it because it costs too much, their other meds works for lowering their blood sugar so NHS don't feel they need it, or they aren't obese etc. If it's obese diabetics are complaining about us taking the supply .. well we are probably a few steps behind them with our own risks of getting diabetes, so why do they deserve it more than us!

This is interesting. I don't have a blue light but have something similar that may count. Didn't realise it was 30%. That is amazing.
