Please note: Mounjaro will only be be prescribed initially if your BMI is above 30. If you have additional health conditions you can get the medication with a BMI 27. (Prediabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart problems)

Week 11 for me & 2.5kg down taking me to a total of 15.5kg down or 34lbs. Absolutely thrilled.

Had a stall last week then whoosh this week ( I think the cooler weather helps).

My bmi has gone from 40- morbidly obese to 36.6. I feel so much better in myself, everything I do is so much easier.

@NewLifter much better today thanks. It literally stopped about 2 hours after I posted yesterday! Just totally vanished and I feel 100% fine now.

@Timeturnerplease I really really would very strongly advise against taking potentially addictive medication for something that it is not even licensed for. Luckily I'm sensible enough not to take a painkiller in the hopes it gives me a side effect of as bit of constipation. However if others read this thread and follow your advice that would be awful. Please do not take codeine or co-codamol to cause some constipation. Use Imodium which is a medication licensed exactly for this.

I have been the same for 3 weeks at a time, it is soul destroying knowing you've really stuck to it but the scalea havnt moved. And I know people mean well when they keep saying 2.5 isn't a therapeutic dose.... But it still stings doesn't it.
What I will say, even though I am losing very slow small amounts, it seems the inches are coming off first so much so I think I have dropped a dress size! Keep going it will be worth it

I’ve just ordered what I hope to be my last pen before moving into maintainance (whatever that looks like!). I have 3 doses left of 7.5mg and a 10mg on its way. I am 1kg away from a healthy BMI, but would like to get down to a BMI of 22ish to give some wiggle room.

Hi - when you get your 10mg pen can you post what the expiry date is please. I need to order a 10mg next as I have 2 x 15mg in the fridge with October expiries and a 12.5mg with a Nov expiry. So these are the next three pens I will use. But I need to order again in 4 weeks time and need a pen with a long expiry date. Thanks.

The 10mg I've had are expiry April 25

Thanks @ObsidianTree looks like I will probably drop to 10mg then. Hopefully the prescriber won't query that as my last order was 15mg.

Of course, I have bookmarked and will let you know when it arrives!

I got back onto eating more sensibly and more protein yesterday so, hopefully, will be following your example very soon!

You can say it's because of the short expiry dates.

Just took my first 5mg dose! Worried now about side effects.. read horror stories on social media about 5mg! Can someone please reassure me I’m not about to keel over 😆

I took my first 5mg dose on Weds night. I was slightly (only slightly) nauseous at one point yesterday, no issues at all today.

I had no side effects whatsoever. On any dose. Maybe a bit of tiredness and feeling a bit cold sometimes.

Im feeling good on 5mg
I have slight constipation but thats been an issue a while, I had a headache once!
Great suppression so far

My only issue with 5mg was that for the first 2 weeks I had complete, total appetite suppression. I could barely force any food down at all. I went down to 3.75 then tried 5 again and it was fine the second time!

No problems here taking 5mg either.

@Choux what are you taking now, Choux? We seem to respond similarly but I am only on 5mg. Hoping to stay side effect free so picking your brains!

I have had no side effects on 5mg. I only had one day of an upset stomach on week 3 of 2.5mg, otherwise side effect free on this journey.

My side effects are constipation but I think that's under control now I just make sure I'm eating vegetable soup every few days and take daily fibre and plenty of water, and feeling the cold more than usual, but love an excuse to wear a cardigan.

Thanks all, feeling better now! I had visions of being sick and all sorts.

@Ifyounevergiveup I'm on 12.5mg now and going up to 15mg next week. That's only a 20% increase in dose strength so while you can never say never I'm not expecting any side effects.

2.5mg to 5mg is a doubling of the dose and that seems to be mainly where people struggle but it's still only a small percentage of users who have side effects.

Anyone ordered 15mg recently please and if so, what’s the expiry date? I’ve still got approx 8 doses left (2 x12.5mg pens) so realistically won’t need the 15mg until November. However, I know some suppliers are giving 15mg out with a November expiry. Thanks

I listened to the live by Oushk recently and they said the expiry is still very short for 12.5 and 15 😔
