Officially 4 weeks in and starting my second pen today (moving up to 5).
Last week’s losses were minimal (maybe just half a pound or so on my crappy manual scale) but I’m ok with that because it rounds me up tidily to 18lbs lost (just over 8kg) loss (and after such big losses in the first few weeks I did expect my body to have a bit of a stall/recalibration).
SW: 85kg
CW: 76.9kg
GW: Healthy BMI zone (somewhere between 70kg and 65kg)
18lbs is significantly more than I ever lost in a starting month at WW (which I have done 3 times in 20 years, losing approx 3 stone each time, gains caused by two pregnancies and grief for my mum) and I am more than a decade older than the last time I started WW (coming up 48 and have the stereotypical middle age spread/meno situation to contend with).
Not many side effects (except for the one night I drank lots of wine which gave me terrible heartburn!)
Next mini goal is 75kg (which is about 11st 12, so out of the 12s).
In the past I’ve found it takes about 20lbs of loss (approx 2 dress sizes) before anyone else notices/says anything so we’ll see if similar happens this time around.
