@Hellijoy Personally, I hate it when people comment on appearance, especially weight. In this age of body positivity, I think everyone should be free to be who they are without judgement, Of course, if you share your story with others, it’s fine but if they know nothing about you, I think it’s a topic of conversation best left alone and quite intrusive. Am I odd?

I agree with you. If I know someone is actively trying to lose weight, then I’ll mention if I see a difference. But if I don’t know, I wouldn’t mention it as to your point I wouldn’t want up assume anything!

Week 24 and only one and a half stone down (current BMI is 33). Massive envy at how others are zooming through, can’t help feeling that something is seriously wrong with me. I’m at 15mg btw.

How long have you been on 15mg? Hope it starts working faster soon. I have seen some people from US say when they get to 15mg that's when it starts working for them. Hopefully it will start speeding up for you.

Have you had blood tests done to check your thyroid functions? To see if there is a reason you aren't losing weight.

I'm always following and lurking, there's some amazing results in here!

I was wondering if I can be added to the Facebook group, please?

I am now 15lbs down since June 26th. I'm still on 3.75mg and pondering what to do about my holiday in 10 days. I'm away for 2 weeks - trying to decide whether to keep at 3.75 or go down a little whilst I'm away. Will keep thinking!

I'm also still constipated. I'm alternating between taking a senna and a dulcoease each day as I don't want to take them every day. (Should I?) Then I take 2 psyillium husks a day. I have ordered some magnesium citrate today so will give that a go too. I can't stomach prunes. I'm drinking plenty and I'm not in any discomfort or pain at all. There is some action sometimes but it's nowhere near as regular, easy or soft as it should be! 😬

Hey, I'll pm you the link

4 weeks on 15 mg, 5th shot coming up soon.

Thyroid has always been normal (tested every year) but I do have Cushing’s (untreated but lingering from sustained childhood steroid usage). That might be a factor in slow efficacy.

SilenceInside · 08/08/2024 21:48

@Chucklesisters do you know what percentage of your body weight your 1.5 stone loss is? Just wondering if it's worth you looking at the weight loss graphs for the clinical trials of Mounjaro, to see a more rounded picture of typical weight loss. The women posting here are not going to represent a proper varied sample like the clinical trials do.

NippyCrab · 08/08/2024 21:54

@ObsidianTree can you send me the FB too if that's okay x

Ooh thanks - I’ll look it up! Started at 15 st, so 10% lost so far.

Have you felt like you have lost more since being on 15mg? Shame it's not working as well for you.

I’ve been reading all your posts since the first thread & finally did my first jab on Monday.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed - these threads are an absolute goldmine of info.
Ive been talking about them, and Mounjaro, to my partner for a few months, & he actually started 6 weeks ago & has lost nearly 2 stone - without really adapting his diet, just not as hungry.

I managed to lose 5 lbs in that time by calorie counting focusing on protein etc, then bounced the same 2lb up & down for 4 weeks! I have been diagnosed as type 2, so suspect I am insulin resistant along with a huge diet phobia after years of bloody diets - slimming world, weight watchers, keto etc etc etc.

So far I don’t have any side effects, and mild suppression, tho I often don’t feel hungry anyway. Food noise is still there, but I’m in this for the long haul & I know it’s very early days.

Thanks again for the inspiration!

@ObsidianTree any chance I could have the FB link too?

this thread is so informative but I don't always have time to catch up on it during the day, whereas I can bob on Facebook more easily and from my phone.

I'm nearly on my 4th week of mounjaro since having tried Wegovy with little success. My sis was put on MJ due to diabetes & it's working wonders both for the weight loss, but more importantly the diabetes is so much better controlled.

I decided to change and too and am much happier on MJ. Had to leave a 2 week break after the Wegovy before I could start on MJ. So I've been on Mounjaro over 3weeks have so far lost 11 lbs. (Had lost 3lb on Wegovy)
More than happy with this. Now trying to reduce alcohol intake too as this was too high - that should help too.

QueenOfHiraeth · 08/08/2024 23:29

I've had a very unpredictable and stressful week with lots of missed mealtimes, lack of time to plan and cook plus nausea from the emptiness and odd snacks which has, oddly, made me want to snack more (I would say binge in that it's not normal controlled eating but it really isn't a binge in terms of quantity). It's been like morning sickness that makes me queazy and want to eat at the same time!
Hopefully things are improving now so trying to get back into a routine.
I've decided to stay on 7.5mg for another month to see if the nausea settles now the stress is easing. I also feel that I haven't given this dose a fair shot as I reduced my first one slightly due to holiday, took second normally, third was the one I shot out of my arm (story told on last thread), fourth was normal but combined with stress. Here's hoping next month will be a charm!

imnottoofussed · 09/08/2024 01:10

@Tubs2024 actually you just reminded me I've not heard from them. I'll chase them up now

Timeturnerplease · 09/08/2024 06:27

@SilenceInside Thanks for that tip - I didn’t know! Our nearest Asda is a half hour away, but if Boots don’t do maintenance by the time I get to that point, I might have to make a monthly trip to get some MJ!

Flapearedknave · 09/08/2024 07:04

Good morning all!

Not been around a lot, but been reading! Congrats on all losses, NSV and to those in stall, as our fav fish says, just keep swimming! I'm totally out of mine after a month of a single pound adding and losing.

I am currently 13.8 which is 1lb from my goal! But I'm going to continue down to 12.7 and see how I feel. My boobs have migrated and my stomach is still not how I want it, so I may be looking at surgery options if I can keep the weight off for a year.

Started my new job and moving house soon. So I'm rather stressed. I've stayed at 12.5 because it's working for me.

Hi, how l long have people been waiting on Medexpress sending out orders? I placed my order with them on Sunday and still haven’t haven’t been prescribed. It’s annoying, feels like they’re prioritising new customers over continuing ones 🤬. I’m stuck with them as I have a bmi under 30 now.

Exitstrategist · 09/08/2024 07:11

Weekly check in- another kg off. Started in march at 77.4kg- today I am 65kg and only 2kg from my target. I cannot believe I am saying that!!! Still unsure about what I’m going to do for maintenance. I don’t think stopping MJ is an option for me sadly.

DragonflyRuby · 09/08/2024 07:22

Still in a stall. Week 4 at exactly the same weight!!! Pretty frustrating.

I feel like the MJ is doing what it’s supposed to, I have good suppression, my calories are down, food quality up, my measurements have even gone down….but my body is clinging on to this weight for some reason.

Give me strength!!

That's very odd I'm not a new customer ordered Saturday prescription approved either Sunday or Monday (can't remember) ... attempted delivery on a Tuesday which I missed (😭) ... redelivery on weds

Might be worth a call to them / a double check in your emails to see if they have requested any additional info

Same. I ordered on Monday and they've sent the email asking for feedback and I've said as an existing customer I can't believe I'm still awaiting prescription. I've also asked for them to apply the price match credit they've given me to this order not have it there for the next one. I just feel peed off with how long it's taking.
I did order early so it'll arrive before we go away but even so, it's good to know when it's coming to plan things around the delivery.

BakingNana · 09/08/2024 07:41

@Edinburghmama99 i ordered from medexpress Tuesday and due to be delivered today according to tracking. Ordered earlier than needed due to delays some people have been having. Third pen. I am in Scotland so not near them. No idea how they go about processing orders, obviously not in the order they come in

I ordered on Tuesday night and got an email at midnight last night to say it's been prescribed and awaiting is dispatch.
Edit to say, my husband ordered just before me on Tuesday for the first time but is still awaiting prescription.

Snozzlemaid · 09/08/2024 07:58

Just to add my experience with ordering from Zava this week, as I know some have had problems.
I placed my order late Sunday evening, this was approved on Monday. It was despatched on Wednesday and delivered yesterday morning.
Ice pack was defrosted but still cold and pen was cold.

NippyCrab · 09/08/2024 08:01

I'm 2lbs off this week 🥳
My starting weight on 2/8 was 13st 11.8 and I started Mounjaro on the 5/8. So I'm happy to be at 13st 9.6lbs. I've yoyoed for months, since January actually. For anyone wanting a boring read here's my journey without Mounjaro:

Fri 9th August - 13st 9.6lbs

I will start looking at the calories in my portions with fat carbs and protein balance, I need to do this properly. I'm so excited to be at this weight. I'm giving myself targets of 1/2 a stone at a time. I think I should take measurements too 🤔
