Hey everyone
Been on MJ 7 weeks and already seeing results!

already lost 1st 3 and as someone who has struggled with their weight all their life, MJ has helped massively! I’m no longer snacking on chocolate and biscuits and have resorted to cheese strings and rice cakes! I don’t have the nagging food noise all day every day which is a blessing. Not a lot of side effects too! Just the one meeting with the sick bowl after having a pizza on the 2.5 dose- that’s me told!
Massive NSV- body measurements have gone down between 4.5 and 5 inches and I only did the first measurements 2 weeks ago, so thought I’d check today. Still picking my (double) chin off the floor 🤣

So would they have had a problem with the timescale if it was processed when you first ordered? That is a ridiculous amount of time to be waiting. It really is a good job you have another pen. I ordered early with zava this time because of what I’d read about how long people were waiting ect. I ordered Mon & received an email today saying it’s arriving tomorrow

Hello ladies, it’s been a while.
I didn’t inject for 3 weeks as was too busy with work.
Only 10 more days left of a 7 week (without day off) job and since starting I’ve eaten so so so much, many times without even been hungry which I know it’s terrible but just because Im working and I’m on every lunch and dinner in some fancy restaurant and it looks almost ridiculous not to eat.
Once I made up an excuse not to eat lunch but they kept asking why not so I had to order a dessert to just say I fancy something sweet instead 🙈
Other times we end up in some rubbish fast food place and I’m eating even things that I barely or never touch like fast food and even had soft drinks a few times and ice cream once.
Just to make it clear I don’t eat or drink those things not because of MJ but because I consider them really bad for my health.
On the positive side I’ve noticed I can eat everything without any side effects at all no matter how greasy, heavy or spicy.
It’s been pretty much like that throughout my journey as I’ve stayed on 2.5mg but I’ve always been careful anyway, not anymore.
Also happy to report that despite eating so much and badly, weight went up just a little bit and as soon as injected lost it all easily.
Looking forward to not working anymore so that at home I can have exact control of what I eat.
So after a 3 week break last week I injected Dose 18 and it finally took me to my first goal: a BMI of 24.9
Happy but want to be 56kg to reach a bmi of 23.

Does anyone know if I don't want to take a full dose of my pen how many clicks is it for half?

30 clicks is half a dose

30?! I feel like I don't click it that much for a full dose but haven't really counted.

When you twist the pen it clicks. You count that. 60 clicks is a full dose. 30 clicks is half a dose. You can get your pen and practice twisting it back and forth.

Some really impressive losses recently. Everyone is doing so well 😊

@clanbailey I haven’t much success with either Wegovy or Mounjaro up to now but I had no appetite suppression on Wegovy & only started to get some mild suppression on MJ now I’m on 7.5. I still get hungry and can eat any type of food I want with no side effects but I get full quicker so portions are now smaller. Am hoping as I go up through the higher doses appetite suppression will increase but think I might have to be on 15 to really see results, a lot of people on the US mounjaro reddit said they had to hit 15 for them to start losing so although it’s not typical on here it’s not uncommon in general (if that makes sense!) I’m definitely prepared (and luckily can afford) to go up to 15 and stay on it for a while so I’m not giving up yet. I think it’s definitely worth seeing an endocrinologist as others have said but it could be you (and me) are one of those that need to be on the highest dose.

@Iwillbethin88 that’s an incredible NSV, well done! I didn’t do measurements recently, although I joined a gym challenge 8 weeks agoand took my measurements then, I might retake them tomorrow after weighing myself and taking pictures.

Stupid question but just assume I practice without putting a needle on? Will it twist without?

I started the same day as you and have lost exactly the same amount, and I thought I was doing really well 😁

I’m down 37.5 pounds.
Bmi 23.5. However having hypoxi and had full body measurements including visceral fat, muscle mass etc. it think i need to lose another ten pounds 😑
however over the last two weeks when I had these measurements done, my visceral fat has gone down! I’ve lost 24cm but mainly in the abdominal area. So quite positive - not sure if it’s the Mounjaro or just where it would have come off anyway…

obviously the heartbreak diet has helped recently but I am really getting my appetite back today.

I haven’t been feeling much effect since starting a week and a half ago, but today I went to Lidl and came out without a doughnut, and didn’t even want one.. so maybe it is starting to work 🙃 🤞

A NSV for me today… I tried on a pair of my old size 12 jeans and they fit perfectly! I looked back at my weight log on MFP and I haven’t been this weight since Feb 2018, just before falling pregnant with my third child (had a traumatic birth with a long lasting injury, plus DC3 is disabled and that combination was ultimately what led to the weight gain).

Have to say that I did notice loss of potency from 2nd injection onward of my "warm pen". I had to top it up.
I also think that Eli lily have no idea what condition pens have been in.
Just because the weather forecast says the daily temperature was say 14degrees, that doesn't mean the pen is has been at 14 degrees. The pen has been in transit, it could have been sitting in a warehouse which was warmer than outside, it could have sat in a post office van with the sun beating down. I feel this is a total cop out by both the pharmacy's and lily.

If they recommend cold delivery then cold delivery is the very least you should expect at 200quid a pop.

Hi all, great reading about recent losses!

I’ve been on holiday in the US and not back until the weekend. Not sure about loss or gain yet but I kept up with 5mg doses while away and have been able to enjoy food without going crazy. I’m amazed. Everything still fits well so I’m taking that as my NSV! Protein has suffered but I’ll pick that up on my return. Have made the gym nearly every day so that’s also helped with feeling like I’ve not gone off the rails completely but I’ve been able to enjoy myself.

Also thought I’d share an update on reordering on Bolt. Ordered another 5mg on Monday night / Tuesday early morning UK time, and order was delivered lunchtime on Wednesday. Very impressed given some of the other stories I’ve read about delivery times. No further verification required which was just as well as no access to scales at the moment.

I slept badly for my first couple of months of MJ - especially on the couple of nights after the jab.
I have insomniac tendencies anyway - especially middle of the night worries - and have been off caffeine entirely the last couple of years as got sooo much worse around menopause. All I can say is I’ve come out the other side of the MJ bad sleep so hang on in there, it may be a matter of time

That is really tough. I happened to find out that my HRT was having no effect when I was having my bones looked at for an injury. I’d been on oestrogel for a year but the tests for sports injury showed zero oestrogen, they switched me to lenzetto and basically life was much improved. It may not relate to your situation but it made me think is really good to be properly checked out. If hormones could be an explanation it might be worth getting a specialist on it if you can

Hello everyone, managed to catch up on last thread and this one.

Wednesday weigh day update.
20 weeks on Mounjaro, 20.5kg lost. That's 45lbs or 3 stone 3lbs. Amazing.

@WitchyBits I was horrified when I started at 110.8kg. I will never be that weight again and neither will you!

Everyone talking about sleep, yep I'm lucky if I get one or two good nights a week. Last night I was coming down with a virus and had back pain so went to bed and slept about 8:30pm, woke at 11pm and didn't get back to sleep until after 4am.

After a horrible two weeks on 10mg, I went down to 7.5 on Sunday and feeling much better. Able to eat. Still some nausea but not as debilitating. I did get the cyclizine which seems to help a little.

My most annoying side effect though is it's killed my libido. Initially I blamed it on the contraceptive pill, so I switched from combined to a progesterone only one, but after 7 weeks on that it's still no better. Lots of reports on the Mounjaro Reddit subs about other people having the same effect.

I love reading all the stories as others find freedom in MJ.

Oooh I'm just picking up my first pen tomorrow. Any tips?
