Voy have cancelled my prescription as they have diagnosed me with binge eating disorder!!!!

Immediately contacted them for a refund and applied for bolt, absolutely ridiculous that they do this after a 15 minute call. I then got a really sarcastic email about everything I was missing out on!!! DO NOT USE VOY

I've replied on your other thread but didn't want to ignore you on this one.

Glad you're now sorted!

You must be a super responder which is good, at least you will be able to take your time moving up - saves money too!

I’d be happier if the numbers on the scales super responded too 🤣 I shouldn’t grumble though, I’m nearly 2.5 stone down and a stone away from a normal BMI. I’ve still got a full 5mg and 7.5mg in the fridge so I guess I’ll not need to buy any more pens for weight loss. Winner 😆

@Jimmyneutronsforehead thanks for agreeing to start the next thread.

In terms of constipation, Mounjaro works in part by slowing digestion down so I try to accept a little constipation and that I might not go every day like I would pre Mounjaro. To try and keep as regular as possible I aim to max out my consumption of:

Water
Fruit and veg
Lentils
Coffee
Spicy foods

Once you've got past this current blockage, a few tweaks to your diet might help keep you a bit more regular.

Fromthesidelines · 16/08/2024 12:46

Thanks @MountKilimounjaro I think I will go for the 10mg, especially as I'm in a bit of a stall. I can always titrate down if it feels too much. I had initially hoped that staying on 7.5 for at least a second pen might be OK if that would allow a slow and steady loss.

Choux · 16/08/2024 12:52

@NeedSomeAnswersPlease

I am with Bolt and have found them very easy to deal with. They have been quick to approve and prescribe with me and I have even had emails from them on the weekend.

If I were you I would wait to see if your 2.5mg Bolt prescription is approved. Then take another dose of the Voy pen on Monday - because I doubt your Bolt pen will arrive by Monday- before sending the Voy pen back. You may get a full refund for a half used pen as compensation for the hassle and upset.

Then you will have a 2.5mg pen with 5 doses in including the bonus dose. After 2 or 3 doses of 2.5mg from the new pen you can use the bonus dose to go up to 5mg assuming you feel you need to. Then your next Bolt pen will be a 5mg

Yeah I will see what happens re Monday - if I don't get a full refund then it is what it is. I'm doing well on 2.5mg at the moment, obviously it depends long term, but I would be happy to stay on it for 6+ weeks! Or use the last of the bolt pen to titrate up to 3.75

Ifyounevergiveup · 16/08/2024 13:55

@WitchyBits I’m thrilled for you, and also fascinated about the possibility of brains’ confusing hunger and fullness. From other posts it looks like you’re not alone in thinking that! As you say, whatever it is, clearly Mj is suiting you; congrats on taking that first step and it’s lovely to know it’s already paying off x

NewLifter · 16/08/2024 10:51

Fantastic!!!! Are you going with an insulin syringe? Don't stress, it's easy enough!

Thank you! ☺️

I didn’t! I couldn’t twist or so asked my OH to do it for me and it worked fine :)

NewLifter · 16/08/2024 14:02

Brilliant!! I was too afraid to try in case I broke my pen and lost the dose 😂

NewLifter · 16/08/2024 14:05

Anyone else finding their Facebook feed is full of adverts by Zava, Voy etc? 😂

This one bothered me, I'm sure it isn't actually legal given they aren't allowed to advertise prescription drugs - certainly means I wouldn't use this company. But I'm probably being a bore 😂

Yeah they're not supposed to advertise or offer discount codes!

Ghilliedu · 16/08/2024 14:28

Anyone who is with Oushk, just a note to say they are doing a live on the FB group at 7.30 tonight to update and answer questions about maintenance. I’m nowhere near needing maintenance yet but will prob give it a watch anyway, just in case I ever get there!

MounjaroMunchie · 16/08/2024 15:22

Well, Zava have really upped their game. Placed my order Wednesday night, prescribed Thursday morning, delivered today. And check out this new packaging! The ice pack in the bottom is huge and was still partially frozen.

Are you 100% it's connected to the MJ? There's apparently a lot of stomach bugs going around at the moment x

The third week of a new dose is when it reaches the maximise dose in your body.

MJ has a half life of 5 days, meaning half is expelled from your body in 5 days.

Therefore with you taking a weekly injection, the dose will build in your body, it won't just be the injection amount, but your new jab plus what you still have in your body from previous jabs.

It will hopefully settle next week, but I wouldn't rush to a higher dose just yet.

It sounds like a stomach bug.

mjdle · 16/08/2024 18:55

2 days in and 7.5 is kicking my butt, only managed a small banana and a protein shake so far today 😩 if it carries on I'll dose down for a few weeks - would that be a good move?

KrankyKumquat · 16/08/2024 19:25

@mjdle
I'm on my 3rd week of 7.5 and am finding it a bit brutal too. Zero appetite the whole way through but no adverse side effects thankfully. Have lost 11lbs on it so far which I know is too much in 3 weeks so I'm going to reduce to 5 tomorrow, then use the 10 I've already bought and drop the dose to 5mg for a couple more weeks. I feel like I need to eat more for a few days to get some energy as I'm quite near to a healthy BMI now so don't need to be feeling like this..

NewLifter · 16/08/2024 20:30

Right I just listened to the FB live by Oushk pharmacy on maintenance plans, took notes so I could update you. It's good news!

Oushk plan to launch 3 maintenance plans by the end of the month. They are subscription plans that can be swapped about every 3 months.

  1. continuous - you stay on your chosen maintenance dose for as long as you like - there's no longer a two year limit!! You can adjust doses as needed, review with a prescriber every 3 months.

  2. Tapering - taper down with a view to eventually coming off MJ

  3. Flexi - when you stop MJ, pay £20 a month to 'stay on the books' and receive support to maintain - however should you decide to restart MJ, you can - even if your BMI remains normal. This is also a 3 monthly plan but I'm unsure if there's a time limit on when you can restart MJ - I don't know that you can stay on this plan long-term.

All plans run as 3 months subscriptions so that you can move between them at the end of the sub - or renew on the same plan

Subscribers will get a 15% discount on their pen AND free delivery

You MUST switch to Oushk before your BMI is 25 (and preferably ASAP to avail of these plans

Lilley have approved these plans already but I think Hira said she's still awaiting approval from....who ever registers pharmacies, I can't remember the initials!

You can choose your delivery day with Oushk, they use DPD or RM

All 15mg pens in the UK expire in Oct so don't order these too early! Otherwise, when they've a special offer running (currently it's 15% off until Sunday) - you can order now for delivery whenever you want - can be weeks away.

Your chosen maintenance BMI doesn't have to be under 25

They also run a blue light discount of £15 per order - you need to email them to get this

------

Sorry it's a bit mixed up, she was answering questions and I just kept taking notes 😂 I'm very excited by this and likely will swap over to them. They offer a very personalised service. I'm currently with Zava and am happy with them but they don't offer any maintenance options at all and it's very impersonal.

3wDavid · 16/08/2024 20:41

That sounds amazing, thanks @NewLifter for sharing these updates! So promising!!!

I wonder whether it’s now just a matter of time for the other pharmacies to follow suit…If they’re allowed to do this and lift the 2 year limitation, what’s stopping others from offering the same.

NewLifter · 16/08/2024 20:47

Yes I think others will follow! Oushk seem very proactive just, perhaps because they're new and trying to establish themselves - and really focus just on MJ and wegovy I think.

I promise I'm in no way linked to them 😂 but I do really love their prescriber, Hira. She comes across as very caring and passionate.

I watched a live from a competitor one night and wasn't impressed at all.

I've looked again at the prices and decided to make the switch for my next pen, I thought Zava was cheaper as I have quite a few referral discount codes to use, but as I have Blue Light, Oushk will work out a very similar price anyway.
