Mine also dispatched this evening and I’ve just had an email from Royal Mail to say it will be here tomorrow by 1pm. They’ve always delivered when they say they will so I’m confident it’ll be here!

Thank you! I've been with ME for 3 pens so far and they've been great so hopefully it will arrive tomorrow 🙏

Snozzlemaid · 09/08/2024 21:20

Regarding GP records I can see my record is now showing obesity as a medical condition, following Zava sending them letters each time I've ordered from them.
I can't wait to leave that category and contact them to get it removed/updated

imnottoofussed · 09/08/2024 21:44

@Copperbeechsilverbirch yes you can try twisting the pen to get the bonus dose but out of 5 pens so far I've had two where one just would not twist and the other the pen let me twist it but then wouldn't dispense the dose I'd just plunged down to 0 but no medication came out.

So I think I am going to order some insulin syringes to have just in case as I've thrown away two bonus doses now. Thanks for everyone's encouragement on that. It's taken me until the end of pen 4 to actually inject myself instead of getting someone else to do it that's how bad I am with needles

Hi @guestusername . One of my semi-retired jobs is as a coder at my local GP and I see a lot of Mj letters coming through. At our practice (and they may well all differ) if height, weight and/or BMI is given in any correspondence, I routinely put it on the patient record. The interesting thing is that not all Mj suppliers give this info in their letters, even though we customers have to give it each time they supply us!

As for the question asked earlier in these threads, I don’t send the letters through for GP attention unless the prescription is for 2.5mg Mj. I send those to the GPs because I don’t know the patients and my hope is that by sending the information to the GPs they would realise if the patient was actually not overweight but had got the Mj prescription by creative means (we’ve all seen examples on other threads!)

So that’s what I do…as I say, might be different at every GP but I hope this puts minds at rest…my GPs only see the 2.5mg letters but BMI (and weight and height) are recorded routinely from any correspondence.

This just prompted me to go check my app to see if they’d got a letter yet ;bit early probably as I only got the meds this week!)
No record of mounjaro but there is a result for a test I haven’t actually taken yet……… Slightly concerning!!

What expiry do you have on the 12.5mg?

The 12.5 is November 2024

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 09/08/2024 23:09

Finally got around to recording this week's weight.

Starting weight 15st 11lb 8oz
Last week's weight 11st 2lb 8oz
Current weight 11st 1lb 2oz.

This means I have lost 30% off my body weight. I'm 1st away from a healthy bmi.

I've had a bad week this week and have done quite a bit of snacking, fast food, cake and no exercise. Very happy that I've still lost weight this week.

MooFroo · 10/08/2024 00:07

Hi fellow MJers :)

second Jab tomorrow and just wanted to ask about angle of injecting pls.

I injected in my stomach like the attached picture from Voys instructions but I think I did my needle at a more sideways angle last week

Not had strong appetite suppression yet but am trying hard to eat healthier, less junk, more exercise etc so feeling good and look like I’m losing a bit too

What sort of angle are you injecting at pls and where?

Thanks so much!

Wow @PissedOffNeighbour22 that’s amazing! Huge congrats x
how long did that take?

SilenceInside · 10/08/2024 00:14

I just inject straight on, as I have a lot more flab than the lovely slim lady in that image. So I don't need to squeeze a bit like she's doing as I know I will be hitting subcutaneous fat regardless!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 10/08/2024 02:19

@MooFroo thank you :)
I started on 21 February.

MountKilimounjaro · 10/08/2024 05:00

@MooFroo no angle, straight on.

I find the faster and more firm I am then I don't feel it at all. If I'm slow and gentle I can feel it (doesn't hurt just makes me feel a bit blurgh).

3wDavid · 10/08/2024 07:20

Morning, happy weekend everyone!

Just checking in to say I’ve been maintaining / 100-200 g up the last couple of days. Since I’ve eaten well, exercised and drank a ton of water, I know it’s probably to do with my impending period. Hoping it sorts itself out next week. I’m sooo close to a 3 stone loss. I can taste it 😄

MooFroo · 10/08/2024 07:30

Thanks so much @SilenceInside and @MountKilimounjaro (cool name!) - straight on it is!

Hi. I'm following along very excitedly seeing all your positive stories but haven't ordered my first MJ pen yet. But I have a couple of issues about using it. Firstly, I'm 5ft 6 and 12.8 stone so my BMI is just under 30. Has anyone else told a little white lie in order to qualify?

Also my DH only wants me to order it from Boots because he's heard some horror stories about people being given fake medication that's dangerous. But reading on here Boots sound a nightmare to deal with and are so much more expensive!

I really want to drop 30lbs but my body is so determined to just stay over 12 stone. Any advice would be very gratefully received.

Eat a big meal then weigh yourself?! Would that tip you over BMI 30? ...then you wouldn't be lying!

Also can you show your husband another suppliers pharmacy registration to put his mind at rest.

If not I know others use Asda another big name and get on ok with them I think.

FlappyFish · 09/08/2024 15:31

Happy Friday everyone!

Very odd to post these stats now, but here goes!

Height 5’7
Age 42
SW: 14.1/14.3 (yes I know. Daft. I was 14.1 when ordered, 14.3 on the day I took the first jab and I have used both.
Start Date: 17th Feb

I can’t post the weekly losses anymore as it’s buried and I stopped tracking tbh.

Current weight: 9.12

Titrating down. On 5. Drop to 3.75 next week. Still losing on maintenance.

Size 10 from a 16. Waist is 28 inches from 34.

Keep going and trust the process!!!!

Edited

Amazing I’m only a few pounds from target now and watching your great example. Excited to get to my target, which I honestly thought was impossible

I feel like we shouldn’t encourage or help others to fudge numbers to get a medication not intended for their situation.

With that BMI, she would need to put on another stone to get to BMI 30. It’s not a case of being “a touch” under BMI 30.

ObsidianTree · 10/08/2024 07:54

Morning all,

Weigh day today. 2lbs down this week. Surprising as I had ttm this week and I ate far too much.

So currently 12st 9lbs and BMI 26.9.

SW Jan keto 17st 6lbs | SW Feb MJ 16st 3lbs
CW 12st 9lbs
total lost : 4st 11lbs | MJ 3st 8lbs

Ah sorry I didn't do the sums I by no means meant to fudge numbers..hence why mentioning a big meal ...I took a touch under 30 on face value...thinking like 29.99...so could potentially be over 30 at different point of the day (like after a big meal)....that will teach me to not all ways take things on face value and think a bit more!

Hellijoy · 10/08/2024 08:14

Week 10 weigh in!

SW: 86.9kg
GW1: 70kg
GW2: 64kg

2.5mg
Wk1: 82.4kg (-4.5kg)
Wk2: 80.5kg (-1.9kg)
Wk3: 79.9kg (-0.6kg)
Wk4: 78.6kg (-1.3kg)
Wk5: 77.6kg (-1kg)
Wk6: 77.6kg (-)

3.75mg
Wk7: 76.3kg (-1.3kg)
Wk8: 75.7kg (-0.6kg)
Wk9: 75.1kg (-0.6kg)
Wk10: 74.5kg (-0.6kg)

12.4kg lost total or 27lbs.

If my early morning maths is right I’ve lost 15% of my starting weight which I’m so pleased about… and my BMI is now 29.8 so I’m ‘just’ overweight, no longer obese!!

MounjaroMunchie · 10/08/2024 08:17

Week 6 weigh-in, 5mg dose.

SW - 12st 7.0lb
Wk 1 - 5.2lb
Wk 2 - 2.2lb
Wk 3 - 1.6lb
Wk 4 - 2.2lb
Wk 5 - 0.6lb
Wk 6 - 2.2lb
CW - 11st 7.0b

Total loss - ONE STONE!

Chuffed to bits doesn't cover it this morning 😁

I agree. I did suggest a clothed weigh in at first but I didn't realised how far off obese the poster was and genuinely assumed she meant a 1lb or 2lb which we all know can be a carb heavy meal. Being a stone below obese is pretty significant!

TheOverweightFortySomething · 10/08/2024 08:46

I came off MJ about 2.5 months ago and have managed to maintain my weight loss. Need to lose around 9lb for the weight I wanted to be. Currently on a 3 week holiday and have managed to not put on weight.
Really want to order another pen to arrive when I get home but there is a discount code stuck on my MedExpress online form and it won’t go through. So annoying.
Ive messaged them but still no reply 😂

guestusername · 10/08/2024 08:53

Well done to this weeks losers, welcome to this weeks newbies 👋

Weigh day is 2.1/4 lbs for me

5’7/47

SW - 14.12
CW - 12.9
Next target 12.5 by end of August

Total 31lbs lost. I’m 16lbs away from healthy BMI at 11.7. I’m not sure yet what my final target weight is

OnInstagramAsMounjaroJourneyUK · 10/08/2024 09:16

New stone bracket🥳
Started in the 15s, was eager to get in the 14s, couldn't believe it when I saw the 13s and now over the moon to see the 12s. This used to be my cue in slimmer years that I needed to get some weight off I.e. restart a slimming club. I'm a few pounds off this old 'before' photo I found recently. When I found this photo i thought i probably weighed about 11st10 in it but when I checked, I was 12st 10 here.

Had a pretty stressful week and ate ready made crap most evenings. Still maintained calorie intake (ish) and drank whey / collagen.
Somehow I've lost 1.5lbs and am 9-11.6 this morning. Chuffed about that.
I've been titration down as I'm in maintenance so this was a nice surprise.
Going away for two weeks so I'll go up to 3.75 again but won't take the pen with me. Then when I come back I'll see how much weight I've put on and will have two full 7.5 pens to play with for going down again.
Dp is now also in maintenance so we have decided to share pens when going down so as we half the usage period of each pen. From what I've read it's safe to do so as long as the pen is fully disinfected after each use.
