I'm in the midlands with an amber warning ⚠️. Is anything going to happen?

Couple of inches here in S Cumbria

We have around 5 inches on the pennine border, I live rurally so we are cut off now.

i was quite stressed yesterday as i had to pick up dd in the evening. south east
i did persuade her to come back earlier than 10 pm, and there was just heavy rain, which was bad enough

About 2 inches of snow has settled but paperman has got through OK! This was in the north Cotswolds.

This is my nearest highway webcam, this is just ‘normal’ winter snow here imo, don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of snow.

I’m not a fan of an unnecessary amber weather warning either.

Woke up to a sprinkling in Cambridge - white shed roof, patches on the grass. The six year old is happy and the roads look clear so hopefully others are too!

A few cm this morning with forecast of snow for 3 days. East Scotland.

Weather forecast lied was meant to snow for five hours between 3 and 8 here. Just looked out, not one flake.

North, North Yorkshire here. We have 3 - 4 inches and its still snowing heavily. Its quite wet snow though so I don't think it'll be here long.

I think the Met people are getting an unnecessary kicking in some posts.

It only needs the temperature of the airmass to drop by a fraction of a degree and the precipitation can change from being rain or sleet to being snow, and all that goes with it….

From what I can work out this AM the forecasting looks to have been pretty good for most of the UK, certainly the west, though it’s possible the snow band didn’t quite extend as far East as was promised at one point.

But is snowed in the evening, then in the night it rained (I don't sleep well) and then has snowed again so I am not intending to go on a Nedspedition today.

My mobility scooter is called Ned and we go for Nedspeditions together.

A few inches here in West Yorkshire this morning

We had a lovely covering at 1am, I would say a cm or so but I’ve just woken up and the rain has washed it all away. DS is so sad

Was snowing when I went out last night, still white but raining when I went to bed - but all gone this morning and rainy in Bristol.

We are on the edge of Sheffield, up the hill.
Started at about 9:30-10pm here.
We have had more overnight.

We left a Swiss ski resort yesterday so had snow all week, and now home to snow. It's stopped here though so shall see what happened today and overnight. We have sleet forecast on and off all day leading to heavy snow forecast for early tomorrow from 5/6am until about 10/11am - perfect for rush hour 🙄

Staffs - woke up to a couple of inches of snow. It's quite wet snow though and starting to melt already so don't think it will be around for long unless we get some more.

Had quite the dump of snow here in Leeds

I'm on the flat coastal part further west near Preston - there's a couple of inches but there's light sleet now and the temperature outside is a degree or two over zero so I don't think it'll last very long.

This is the border of Southport / Halsall right now. It's not forecast to last though.

It was gone by the early hours! (inland north W Sussex). One hell of a rain storm last night/this morning, though!
