Although cold, snowy weather is still possible, we are a few weeks away from the start of meteorological spring (1st March)
So here are some thoughts from The Weather Outlook on what we might expect.

Another downpour in Edinburgh. Wouldn’t mind so much if we had really strong sunshine in between but it’s been so grey and dark 😶‍🌫️

Rain holding off here for a few hours so son and partner have risked a walk up to a well known waterfall.

We had the "magic 8-ball of weather", as if a random selection of weather was chosen every ten minutes. Currently blue skies and sunshine.

We had the most epic thunderstorm for years yesterday. The thunder was right overhead and for a second I wondered what it was when it started. I think the last storm on that scale I've seen (in the UK) was around 35 years ago.

@justasking111 that red splodge on the east coast on the lightning map? That was us.
Torrential rain, thunder and lightning, inches of hail.
Went on for about an hour. Lots of flooding. Never heard thunder rumble for that long.
Lots of gardens looked like the middle of winter with snow on the ground.
Two hours later, completely dry and blue skies!

Snow!!! Son was visiting from w Yorkshire, he said he'd missed a good thunderstorm.

Looking more promising nearing the weekend thankfully. Until then it's dodging the showers.
