Although cold, snowy weather is still possible, we are a few weeks away from the start of meteorological spring (1st March)
So here are some thoughts from The Weather Outlook on what we might expect.

I'd be happy with this on my summer holiday

Absolutely fucking glorious today!
Bathed in light and warmth.
Morning tea in the garden surrounded by bees and birds, pup at my feet.
Spent time doing a general tidy and sweep of the garden, hoping after Mondays deluge that the grass will be dried out enough to cut tomorrow (wasn't ready today)
I've even got strap marks from my vest top, and extra nose freckles. Gloomy mood has definitely lifted.
Must wear sunscreen tomorrow.

Beautiful here too! I am so grateful. I moan enough when it’s raining, honestly I’m so happy when the sun shines!

The puppy has chewed through two feather cushions so I'm going to sit on the decking later sewing them back up. It's a messy job 🙈

Isn't this a wonderful thing to behold?! It's been so miserable and glum and cold and wet since October. (And even July and August was below par, with just an 'OK' September.) So it feels like 10 months since it was proper nice!

Forecast for the next week here in the Midlands is glorious ... 22 degrees C plus - and dry. I hope you all get the same! 🤗

I'm making the most of the sun, because the forecast for the south-west seems to be two days and then from Sunday it's about four weeks of rain again... GET OUT THERE LADIES!

My American coverlet is hanging off the decking, and a big rug, just finished washing. Fridge freezer defrosting. Had a go at the oven 🙈.

We've a sea fret offshore, fingers crossed it doesn't affect us.

I'm going to sit out for a bit with my kindle before I have to pick up a grandchild.

Beautiful here, been paddle boarding this morning. Bloody glorious. (State of the river is another topic though).

We get warnings from the surfing crowd that dwr cymru due to flooding have released sewage off beaches, even when we haven't had rain for a month. Now we're being warned about algae @MotherOfCatBoy 🙄

Sounds familiar @justasking111 We’re down south but it’s the same. I like that they’re not for profit but I think the lack of strong regulation leads to the same behaviour as the privatised ones.

STOP press... Had the roof down today on my old girl. Grandson yesterday asked me to put the lid down. It's lovely to drive. I was about to look for a Suzuki Jimmy to be a bit higher up. But my old girl 18 years plus is reliable and it's a treat to occasionally drive with it down.

It's like a proper Summer day here. Having a lazy morning as we were up until 2am watching the northern lights.

Perfect weather here in the Midlands! Hot and sunny (22 degrees C.) Off in the garden to sunbathe soon. (Just having lunch and posting on on here for half an hour.)

Well over 2 weeks of nice weather now.. Going into a THIRD week. I am getting quite a nice suntan.

Same here! Didn't get to bed til 1.30am. I was so excited at seeing the Northern Lights that I couldn't sleep! I was awake til 2.30am and didn't wake up til 10.30am!

Was so tired didn't stay up, they were spectacular in north Wales.

Clouding over here a bit here (Leicester) but another lovely warm day.
There are though thunderstorm warnings for tomorrow and Monday.

(And I saw the Northern Lights last night as well and plan to go Aurora-hunting tonight as well!)

I didn't realise there were going to be auroras last night and missed the whole show! It feels like I'm the only person in the country who didn't see it.

@Vegemiteandhoneyontoast I knew about it but I did a 320 mile drive yesterday, and the hotel carpark had really bright lights, so I did not bother trying to look as I doubt I would have seen much, even if I had managed to stay awake long enough. Will try to see them tonight, as may still be visible in areas which are not too cloudy - though not sure what time they will be visible.

Netweather have issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for today and into tomorrow.

Well the dog will be shaking with fear this afternoon. Ah well looking like a few days of showers, everyone who spent the weekend planting out in the garden will be relieved not to water.

Yup, terrific thunder followed by hail and torrential rain this afternoon. Lasted about an hour then it was sunny again as if nothing had happened!

Early thoughts on weather for the Spring Bank Holiday.

My son is camping for three nights in Oswestry, last September they were cold and wet, this is a big improvement. Thanks @GloriaSmud

I was just wondering about her last night. I know she was taking a bit of a break, but that was a while ago, now (just after Christmas?)
