While for many it is milder today, it will become colder again tomorrow. The main snow risk starts on Thursday where both GFS and ECM show a risk of snow in the south into the midlands and Wales, away from south eastern coastal counties. They both model a low moving in from the Azores, bumping into cold air.

GFS takes this right into northern England and parts of Scotland.

As always, early days and so there is lots of uncertainty. We await the next model run

Looks like we're going to have beautiful blue skies here in Leicester. Good thick layer of frost this morning and a definite nip in the air but doesn't look like we're getting any snow today.

I drove DD to school at 8.20am then called at Sainsbury's on the way home. When I arrived back at our village 30 minutes later it was white. I was confused for a minute, as it wasn't white when I left. I guess we must have had a localised snow shower while I was out.

There's been light snowfall in North Dorset for the last hour, but it's now turned to rain.

If these roads don't dry out before the temperature drops there will be a lot more ice around later tonight...

No snow but heavy frost here( west Manchester) I was driving along a road where there was a big patch of frost that hadn't melted and also 2 layers (yesterday and today) that had been compacted and driven on so very slippery! I was going pretty slowly (thankfully) when a young girl pulled out of a side road straight in front of me. (Parked cars so didn't see her). I braked suddenly and of course skidded. It was quite scary as the car just wasn't stopping properly but fortunately it didn't swing sideways and I didn't hit her or any other car. Then further down the same road a cyclist came out of another side road and crossed the road right in front of me! Fortunately there the road was free of ice as I had to brake sharply again.

In true MN fashion I was fuming!!

My snow in Nottinghamshire is still on the ground. We had another little flurry at about 4pm but it was very little indeed.

We have had icy precipitation for most of yesterday and today. It doesn't deserve to be called snow. Nothing lay, the ground is really wet.
It's only been 1°c all day so will be icy tonight

Bloody hell it's cold here! (Cheshire) BBC weather seemed to be nodding and winking to maybe a smidgeon of snow on Saturday night on the 10pm, any thoughts? ❄️ 🛷 😄

It was -3 here at midnight. It's now warmed up a bit (-1) and snowing. Looks like we have a little bit more coming our way (I'm in the middle of that snow cloud on the NE coast of England)

We had snow again here in North Yorkshire last night, I know they always get loads over in the wolds but I'm about 30 minute drive to coast near York to give you an idea of where we are.

It's so wonderful waking up on a morning and drawing back the curtains to see it! We didn't have that much yesterday and it ended up turning to ice, bit more last night though
