Snow watch.

While for many it is milder today, it will become colder again tomorrow. The main snow risk starts on Thursday where both GFS and ECM show a risk of snow in the south into the midlands and Wales, away from south eastern coastal counties. They both model a low moving in from the Azores, bumping into cold air.

GFS takes this right into northern England and parts of Scotland.

As always, early days and so there is lots of uncertainty. We await the next model run

Central Scotland, zero snow.

It is very cloudy here in SW Kent …maybe a few flakes might happen she says hopefully !

Well we're due a little bit more overnight. Come the weekend they're saying that a storm will arrive but with a southerly wind it's going to be a lot warmer

London had some incredibly blue sky's this evening.

In fact I didn't notice how blue it was till I posted some pictures on another thread .

Well no snow here, just a gard frost and minus 5 (NE Coast of England) with a snow and ice warning till midday.

We had a light but constant dusting from about 11am to 7pm yesterday in Brussels, so there was a good covering on the ground (about 2 cm thick on my balcony but I suspect a lot deeper on exposed ground).

I can see this morning that some key footpaths have been cleared, as well as the roads.

I can see the outline of the pavement cobbles in some spaces, but most is still a

But we are due to stay cold (mostly minus temps but up to 2 deferred for a few hours today) for the next few days, but sunny and dry. A small flurry overnight Sunday before temps rise massively and we get a lot of rain for the evening and most of Monday!

A covering of snow here in the North East. Just enough to cover the ground.

A chilly -5C here in Leicester this morning. Temperature's risen from the -7.3C my weather station said it was, just after midnight though.

It is bloody freezing here in Leicester, I don't like it. Have Aqua Aerobics in a bit and the idea of being soaked and freezing isn't appealing.

We have snow again on the Wirral this morning 🤨 And our boiler broke yesterday so no heating 🤔

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain ~ the metoffice are saying the temperature might hit 0 about 11am and rise to 2C around 1pm, but that's it when it comes to our 'high' for today.

Oh Susiesue61 ~ why do boilers time themselves to do that at the coldest times of the year

@FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain i went to aqua aerobics yesterday thinking the same. Half way through the fire alarm went off and we were all stood on the side shivering thinking we were about to be evicted in our cossies. Luckily false alarm was called and we got back in but that would’ve been a shock to the system.

That would have been an absolute nightmare! Think I'll take my towel out to the side of the pool so I can wrap up to the showers rather than doing the cold walk from pool to changing room.
