After the dramatic weather for some over the last few days, mostly covered in the Thunderstorm warning threads, I think it's time to switch to a new thread. After all, we are two weeks into meteorological summer.

Ok. Can someone turn the heat down now please? This doesn’t bode well for July does it?

I am a little concerned Rafa. It looks like after a little respite, the temperature dial might turn up again.
If it rains this weekend, I'll be storing all the water I can for the garden.

We've Three water butts now, may have to get another one.

DIL grandpa went out for the day today, he's a painter so likes to get inspiration. He's had a funny turn tonight. We're all concerned he's 83. So this heat is really concerning .

Cleaning this morning by 11am I'd had enough. I'm drinking more water but still getting grumpy. OH went fishing on the beach he just stands ij the water 🌊🌊 bliss

It looks like Sunday and Monday might be cooler, which I'd like.

Today is a much fresher 20 degrees, with some sun but intermittent rain showers in Dublin. Not much actual rain, just light showers.

Apparently though it is "raining cats and dogs" in Cork, on south coast.

We've heavy lowering clouds now in N Wales, I've shut the car windows. The glass is dropping, I'm getting a headache Temperature dropped 2c in the last hour down to 24c and the wind is blowing.

Wish us luck 🙏

Woke to heavy rain in S Wales this morning. I have put six buckets in the garden to catch it!

We need some here (Leicester) - I put some broccoli plants in at the allotment, Thursday evening and despite giving them loads of water, when I went yesterday evening, they'd all wilted. I gave them a real drenching last night so I'm hoping they'll survive 🙏 but I'm leaving off putting anything else in until we get some decent rain!

We're much cooler this morning with very heavy cloud so maybe some rain. Tomorrow looks more useful in terms of gardening

Much cooler & cloudy here in Cheshire this morning. Quite bright through the clouds though.

Cloudy West Gloucestershire 17.5C, very light shower. Cut grass yesterday first time for 4 weeks.

We have rain - not forecast but it's nice to have. Quite a heavy shower as well.

It's cooler, it's cloudier and....drumroll...we had three drops of rain 😬

@stillherenow I've been struggling the past two years then last week I bought one of those dog cooling mats to put my feet on at night (not body as it will burst). I've slept through every night even when the room was stifling. Worth every penny imo.

@OhYouBadBadKitten any guesses on what the will be like for inland North Wales (about 40 minutes from Llandudno and in the hills) next weekend ?
