Large hail possible. Up to 4cm in diameter. If you are in the area, ensure you move indoors if storms arrive. You might want to protect delicate plants. This size hail, if it develops is enough to put dents into things and possibly to smash greenhouse windows.

If you experience large hail, please can you submit photographs with a ruler next to it.

Flash flooding is also very likely in places.

I'm jealous of the temperature drops @Piggywaspushed. We've had a few distant rumbles, the odd flash of lightning ⚡ now raining. I think it's all over for England and Wales

Nope. Nothing save the odd spit and spot East of the pennines. We had some scattered showers (most missing us) in the first week or so of May and have had nothing since. Water butt is empty.

To clarify, I'm currently sitting in the garden with a long drink, listening to the birds and boy racers. Blackbirds have been outsung by a Robin!

Nothing here in East Anglia.

Yesterday at around 6.45 me and db left work together but went in opposite directions both of live only miles from work I had dark clouds and saw a lot of wet city fans but didn't see any rain.

Db said all local roads were flooded , cars abandoned in deap road puddles , police closed off quite a few local roads .

Driving was very difficult and he is a very competent and experienced driver ! .

All we have today is some very gusty winds , its like been stood infront of a huge hair drier on its hottest setting

I was on my way home at midnight and the temp dropped dramatically it was like walking into a cold store room !

Loved the storm last night in Manchester! Proper cosy listening in from bed

I could see the storm over the Croydon area last night, as the lightning was so bright and frequent! Loads of rain in SW London, so it's a much fresher feel this morning.

Fantastic storm in Manchester. DS just got in from work when it started.
