Thunderstorm warning Saturday 10th June.

Some areas could see the late spring drought break dramatically on Saturday. Thunderstorms could bring torrential rain, with associated surface flash flooding. Other hazards include hail, lightning and high winds.

A big caveat for those in the warning area though. Many areas may well stay dry. We cannot forecast the exact location of thunderstorms and heavy rain. The risk that they will occur in a region can be flagged, but not exactly where they will crop up.

So, if you are planning an event, stay weather aware and be prepared to change plans as needed.

On Sunday, the risk of storms continues, but perhaps not quite as high as Sunday and I think the risk area will shift more eastwards and perhaps northwards.

Despite all the promising- looking cloud bubbling up this afternoon, it all disappeared about 5pm ish and we were left with 30C heat. It's looking quite hazy/dark over to the west at the moment though so maybe we'll get something a bit later.

It’s been sunny for weeks here

Liverpool here and it’s been raining torrentially with thunder and lightning for the last hour.

I just had a bit of a scary time driving through flooded areas. Be careful.

Still nothing in Suffolk. But like I said, it never rains here.

Still nothing here. Clouds have reappeared and it's looking darker, but rainradar shows the band of weather moving up the coastal path and steering pretty clear of us. I hope it takes a detour - the garden needs the rain!

We've been dry for weeks too. We now have glorious rain! The storm seems to have passed through now, however.

We had about 10 minutes of drizzle

I live on a farm in Devon, we need the rain, but nothing but a sprinkle at about midday! Horribly humid.

Summer rain smells great after a hot spell.

No heat or thunder storm warnings here in Edinburgh. West of Scotland getting some rain now though. Really needed to top up the lochs and rivers and decrease the wildfire risk. Another one outside Inverness today.
