if you have clear dark skies looking to the north, go outside now! Even reportedlyvisible from some parts of southern England.

In the midlands - couldn’t see anything with naked eye but took this photo - not sure if this is it or not

Clear skies where I am just outside Bristol (about 3 miles outside the city) . Light pollution is minimal but I can't see low enough towards the horizon due to large trees., so don't know if it's happening here.

DH has just come in from Dog walk and reports clear views, green and purple. Central Scotland - not uncommon to see activity on clear nights.

@PriamFarrl (and anyone else who is curious!) I just heard on the news this is going to continue for 2-3 hours. So keep looking! You could see it right up to say, 12.30-1.00am!!!

I have not seen it here yet tonight. Will keep looking!

No clouds here but can't see any aurora sadly, not far from Herne Bay either!

@Namechanger1002 Doesn't look like the aurora. Sorry. You may see it soon. I am Midlands too.

in the north of scotland, we do see it fairly often. but tonight its incredible! I've rarely seen it so strong. Its dancing in the sky!
Our local FB groups are just pages of pics of the aurora!

South Coast here - my eye couldn't really see it - but my iPhone picked this up!

nearly broke a leg climbing into the flower bed in my slippers but hey - worth it!

use your cameras people - not your eyes - we can't see the whole spectrum like a camera can.

I've never seen an aurora

Do you need to see a tinge of colour before using your camera?

In Bedfordshire, and we have totally clear skies. I've just been out, walked down the fields to get away from the street lights, and the sky definitely looked brighter in the northern horizon than it usually does. There did seem to be a greenish tinge to it, and I thought I was imagining things and seeing what I wanted to see, but now I've got back and seen some of the photos on here, now I'm not so sure...

Clear as day where I am (Scotland), we see it regularly, lovely to watch!

I'm south coast of Cornwall but not a sausage. Could be too much light pollution but I can't drive up to the moors tonight. If its likely to go on tomorrow night, I'm going up there!!

Beautiful pictures! I've looked out here in Notts but there was nothing, it looked a bit cloudy & I don't get a clear view North but will try again later.

I'm near Aberdeen at my son's and missed it! I hope it comes tomorrow because I go home on Tuesday and no hope from home 🙁
