Can't promise that I'll be able to add as much as I usually do (not very well atm) so its quite likely I might miss stuff but I've added a few thoughts to that thread re the current set up and tis easier if I just keep it in one place.

We had a very light dusting here in the middle of Kent, but it was more like really tiny hail. It's really grey and dark outside my office window now.

Graupel!

Miserable, dull and 1C here in Leicester. No frost though this morning. Ice scrapers at the ready for the rest of the week!

awww, the latest run of GFS goes for an abrupt change to mild over the weekend (bye bye snow). Never mind, tis one model run, lets see what the next one brings.

Just had a look at the metoffice map to see where they are predicting precipitation. Sat night looks very interesting with a front coming in from the west but warming up rapidly behind it. boohoo. Never mind tis only Tuesday.

It's trying very hard to snow here too, Methe ! (South East) I am freezing !

Just seen on the Met Office site that snow is predicted for Sunday, but they have no idea how much or where really, and no weather warnings in place...yet.

I'm not complaining, I love the cold weather and snow, if it falls.

I have taken to reading your threads before looking on the met site, as you tend to be more accurate.

Looking at the met site is a bit like seeing that's it's snowing, then they will issue a warning !

It snowed between 11.30-12.30 in Leics,but only that tiny icy stuff.Currently looking very gloomy.

It is very very cold here in North Wales, but no snow yet. Do you think there might be?

It would have to be a heck of a lot though, as if it is just a little bit I would still have to go to work and it would take me triple the time because they are country roads and I am terrified of driving in the snow and ice

You might get the odd snow shower Twllbach, but at the moment i'm afraid I cant see anything on the charts until Sat night.

But I do get annoyed when it IS snowing LOTS and then on the news we have Mr or Mrs Met Office warning us about bad weather, at least you give a heads up that it MAY !

Graupel shower this morning in Sheffield, typically whilst I was on playground duty.
Been snowing a little at home today as when I collected DD and came home after school there was a dusting on the rooftops and grass verges.

Ooh we had graupel here today too The first time I'd seen it since I heard about it on here.
