Can't promise that I'll be able to add as much as I usually do (not very well atm) so its quite likely I might miss stuff but I've added a few thoughts to that thread re the current set up and tis easier if I just keep it in one place.

F we have snow forecast the dcs are allowed to panic buy two things each, this afternoon, dd panic bought a "bent bargain" millionaire cheesecake and a carton of pomegranate juice, and ds panic bought bogof Jaffa cakes and J2O. Dp and I panic bought red wine, and whiskey for Hot Toddy.

ChippingInLovesEasterEggs · 04/02/2012 17:12

Last winter and the beginning of this winter I did put a lot of 'extras' in the loft (loo paper etc) I have no problem at all with stock piling (or indeed panic buying if people feel the need) it was just the fact that everyone seemed to be doing fairly normal shopping, yet this woman felt that she was the only one who was and that everyone else was being 'stupid' and getting in her way. I think she needed to see the irony in her comment Grin

LOL

Not really. I have to go to work this week, no matter what, so I will be out and about, no need for any panic buying and we are not going to get so much the shops will run out (famous last words!! LOL).

GloriaSmud · 04/02/2012 17:12

Blush I went to Aldi last weekend and picked up an extra thing of milk as I knew there was a possibility of snow for this weekend. I'm now glad I bought toilet rolls during the week (needed them anyway) so should be OK if there's going to be a toilet roll shortage through panic buying!

gettingalifenow · 04/02/2012 17:13

Snowing in Farnham now! Not a lot - little flakes but settling straight away

GloriaSmud · 04/02/2012 17:15

Seeker ~ I'm liking your panic buys! Grin

pepperrabbit · 04/02/2012 17:17

It seems to have stopped here for now, light dusting and paths white - but not enough for a snow mouse yet!

RabidEchidna · 04/02/2012 17:17

gettingalifenow - I was born in Farnham, but never lived there, though not a million miles away :)

Seeker & family win the prize for 'panic buying' so far - nicer choices than loo roll Grin though they may regret that later LOL

RubyRubyRuby - send DH back out Grin How come you don't have any heating?? Do you mean 'none zip zero zilch' or just no CH??

OhyouBadBadkitten · 04/02/2012 17:23

rabit you'll be fine - it'll be here soon :)

RabidEchidna · 04/02/2012 17:25

ChippingInLovesEasterEggs · 04/02/2012 17:25

Still snowing here - just took a couple of snaps in case it's all we get this winter Grin

Any gardeners amongst us?

I have just realised that I have forgotton to put the pot of planted bulbs out. They have been in a fairly cool part of the house - when should I put them out. Would it be good or cruel to put them out tomorrow??
