Can't promise that I'll be able to add as much as I usually do (not very well atm) so its quite likely I might miss stuff but I've added a few thoughts to that thread re the current set up and tis easier if I just keep it in one place.

I think you may be safe until maybe 6pm. That's my guess, wonder if I will be right that the snow will hit us around that time.

Lareine - When people say they don't see the point in twitter... UKSnowMap is the point of twitter... real time data from real people. Just a little questionable on how reliable that data is, I think a scale of 1 to 10 is a bit big. No Snow, Snow, or Lots of Snow may be a better scale in my view.

Snowmap is showing reports of snow in Reading and Yateley area... hmm, I don't see any yet. Anyone in North Hampshire see the snow yet?

I'm still confused about what happens into next week, there's no warnings but its not going to warn up that much, is all the snow going to melt tomorrow??

Raining in south Hampshire

We have quite a bit now in Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands and it is still steadily coming down.

Gettingalifenow - Long Sutton (near Alton) is reporting snowfall... so it's coming.

We have little flakes in south northants!

Twitter is reporting snowfall in Fleet - even my mum just tweeted that, she's near Waitrose Fleet.

d&p - it (at the moment) looks a bit wet for the west but mostly dry for the eastern side, so although its barely warming up, theres nothing to snow. (however gfs does show some precip mon/tues and for the eastern side also light snow showers through the rest of the week). Will do some proper looking tomorrow evening - at the moment trying to balance rest/peering at todays weather/family life.

yes denial i think that's about enough if we want to go anywhere tomorrow.

oh whatever :( what a bummer - tis not fair for you. Perhaps when it gets heavy it will turn to snow for you for a bit.
