Can't promise that I'll be able to add as much as I usually do (not very well atm) so its quite likely I might miss stuff but I've added a few thoughts to that thread re the current set up and tis easier if I just keep it in one place.

pepperrabbit ah Fleet, know that place well. I'm up the road a few miles, in Lightwater (between Woking and Bracknell).

No snow here yet, though I can see it coming on UKSnowMap - looks like it's made it to Oxfordshire.

Is this the part of Mumsnet where the Surrey/North Hampshire locals are hanging out at the moment. Nice to see the local mentions Smile

Roll on the snow coming, or will it skip over us... not that likely if some flights have been cancelled at Heathrow tomorrow in expectation of snow.

Cancelled my plans for tonight, was going to babysit twins in the neighbouring village (village roads tend to be quite bad in the snow as they don't get gritted as not a priority route).

Just had a phone call from another parent wanting a babysitter for tonight, in that same village. Hmm, No... I am not going to drive in the snow unless I really have to do so.

For those with snow... is it as bad as has been forecast or is it just a dusting?

Not been on a weather thread before. I'm in London. Just looked at a live radar map and can see it coming our way. Its almost at southhampton, almost at swindon, almost at coventry...

Heathrow has just announced that it will cancel 30% of flights tomorrow.

AJ we need the W postcodes to yell and then we know its coming
Heathrow cancellations are more likely caused by disruption in Amsterdam yesterday, planes not where they should be

Need snow not to reach us (near Guildford) until after 5:15. DD is at a party it ends at 5 then we I won't have to drive anymore. Are you listening snow gods??

We have 2-3 cm here (Hereford and Worcestershire). It's still snowing.

Light but steady snow here and it's settling nicely. Tiny flakes, but an awful lot of them. it's very very pretty!

Hi OYBBK just popping in from my phone to let you know that you were spot on!

Snow started at 2 ish so just enough time to finish eating and get back to the car before it got too grim. I was with a friend and she was laughing at my your snow predictions.
Should've seen her face when it started to fall Confused Grin
