I’m not sure what you mean. Mine doesn’t look broken. It’s not the one where the plane is. Mine is on the west of my island. I think they are normally West or east x

I haven’t needed bait to catch a Mahi Mahi, but both the ones I have caught have been near my little pier so it’s definitely the best spot!

I played a lot at the beginning of lock then lost interest and ended up restarting the island but recently got back into it :)
If anyone needs some diys and fruits let me know if anyone wants some. I have lots to spare I normally play while the baby naps!

I need to catch a Mahi Mahi as well, I keep going with bait, so far no luck though.

@Firefly89 I just visited your island in a dream - it’s amazing! I love the pizza oven and all the surf shacks on the beach. Ours is nowhere near as completed as yours!

Hello! I got my first blue rose this morning!

Can anyone tell me if the Halloween DIYs use any other colour pumpkin than orange as. I only have orange ones and my villagers have stopped
Offering Halloween diys now. What am I supposed
To do with the other three colour pumpkins?

You only need orange pumpkins to craft then use the other colour ones if you want to customise them/change colour

I just got stung again!!! So annoying!!! I was doing the sneak attack, holding down A and when I was about the right distance it ran at me! 😭😡

I think I understand what I’m doing wrong. I need to stop when it raises it’s claws and wait until it relaxes and inch forward until I’m close.

Hi! Mind if if i join? I'm lead resident on my island and my 3 boys all play (11, 9 and5). We love it! It's a bit of a daily battle for special items in the shop and resources like rocks and fossils, (I pretty much never get ) but it's so great to do together!

My 5 year old is a bit of a maniac with island designer and keeps adding random bits of cliffs and things, he treats it a bit like Minecraft sometimes!

Anyway we have peaches pears coconuts and bamboo - would love to get the other 4 fruit if anyone wants to do a swap? I've not visited a real person's island yet, just got online a few days ago so will have to figure out what to do!

Spent ages practising my sneak so I could catch a scorpion and it never showed up 😂. DD is out with her grandparents today so I have an afternoon of serious island renovating planned. My play area is looking distinctly cluttered!

I have all fruits growing in my orchard so if I can help anyone out let me know!

I set up an online account and attached it to my ds’s account...now I’ve joined the island I can’t link to the internet as it says only one user per account- have I got that right? So annoying I put it as ds 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have apples, bamboo and coconuts if anyone needs them, (I have no idea how to get them to you though 😂)

Count me in. I've only just started and already got in a mess by accidentally destroying my rock's so now i have to wait for them to respawn. Any hints? Im only on day 2, so a long way to go.

I have all the fruits + bamboo shoots if anyone is in need.

OokSaidTheLibrarian- rocks respawn at a rate of one per day, and rarely in the place they were before, but you will get them back! (love the username by the way)

@Ilovecheese53 I'd imagine that age would enjoy it but might need some help (there's a lot of reading) and to start with it's quite slow moving before you get anywhere. You have to wait 2-3 actual days for things to grow, villagers to move in etc.

I had my friends DC (both boys) for a weekend in the summer and let them play mine, the nearly 8 year old who is very precise and patient I could see would have stuck at it, his almost 5 at the time brother loved the catching fish and insects, buying/selling in the shop and chopping down all my trees(!) but tired of it generally much faster.

So my 'little' island renovation has resulted in a complete remodel of my orchard. All new fruit trees are planted in neat rows and lovingly fenced in.

I'm placemarking on behalf of DS1, who's getting a Switch for his birthday. He loves Animal Crossing on my mum's old DS. I even have anAnimal Crossing username, although DS tells me I've kept it wrong

There is a lot of reading. My DD would not be able to do all that side of it alone, she’s a similar age. I don’t read it all but skim read what I need to but that’s not a skill she is remotely close to so you do have to play with them a bit. However, on MN their are apparently 4 year olds reading Harry Potter so if yours is a reader like that, they will be fine! DD is on blue band level reading just as a guide.

I think she would get bored playing alone but we are going to play together soon. She loves mario kart though so o would recommend that. It’s one you can do together but also they can do on their own whilst you are busy.
