I stayed playing mo the ago but haven’t played for ages. I’m still trying to get the band to come to my island. I’ve only got a 1 star rating but don’t know what they want when they say it’s needs beautifying. What’s everyone’s suggests to improve your star rating please

Put flowers down, decorate with items that you make and buy in nooks, fences around the area etc.

I think we got KK Slider to come and play when we only had a 3 star island rating.

Definitely put flowers out, make sure weeds etc are tidied up, and I think resident happiness also goes towards island rating, so make sure your residents are happy - talk to them every day and do any tasks they might ask for.

No one has fleas on my island! I keep talking their ear off in case some come but nothing.

And I keep buffering up the scorpion with my rubbish aim! Not good under pressure 😂

If you do the small tasks to earn Nook Miles every day then you will soon get to a 3 star rating. It’s not directly linked but if you follow those, you won’t go far wrong in terms of beautification etc

Thanks everyone. Just started up again and we are at a 2 start rating need to tidy up and plant flowers.

I’ve left lots of the trees where they are thinking it looked more natural. Is it best to dig them up and replant in orchards?

Are we all ready for Halloween tomorrow? I'm far too excited my island is positively swimming in pumpkins and jack o lanterns, I've been saving my candies every day. My little villager is dressing as Lizzie Borden for the big event tomorrow. Animal Crossing is single handedly saving my Halloween! Also, I got a five star rating this morning so I'm eagerly awaiting my lily of the valley as I want that for my memorial area.

Still not caught a scorpion, none have spawned since the stinging incident, none of my villagers have fleas either. I've held back some turnips so I can try and catch a fly. I got ants by leaving out a piece of candy.

Currently I'm working on some little seating areas, and a lab/stargazing area. My orchard is done so my next big job is prettying up my village area where
Most of the houses are. I want to move one of my villagers into the village as well so my cliffs are all aesthetic and such. I'm far to invested in all this.

You've been busy @DeadButDelicious. I'm still after an ant so I'll try the candy trick.

I've been re-working my orchard today and wishing on shooting stars tonight. Also one of my original villagers is moving out - I decided to let her go as I could do with a change and no-one's moved out for ages.

I got distracted during trick or treating last night after Tank had asked me for candy and I think ‘tricked’ me - I am now purple. I can’t get rid of it. Am I going to have to waste book miles to buy the body paint stuff just to go back to normal??

@Squiz81 You can take it off without a mirror! Go into your pocket and you can take face paint off from the clothing section in there

(I was working last night so I tweaked the date on my Switch and am playing Halloween tonight)

I tried taking it off from the clothes section but it’s not there...I removed the pumpkin and cobweb he drew on my face from there, but I’m still purple 🤪

How do I connect with other islands? I've flown to the 'normal' ones but how do I visit friends? Do I have to sign up for some online account ?

Yeah, you have to get an online account and pay. We’ve just got a family one but I have no idea how to add people 😂👵🏽
