Morning all! I have been playing since launch. Initially I was focusing on trying to catch all the fish/bugs etc. So my island is still a work in progress!
I am starting to decorate for Halloween though! Have you all been growing pumpkins?

I’ve successfully grown some green and white ones, but I haven’t done a lot with them. I’ve made a little Halloween area though.

I’m currently on a quest to get rid of a penguin named Gwen on my Island. I gave her a cardboard box as a present, and unfortunately she loved it 🙄. So I dumped some rubbish bags outside her house instead.

We only got the switch on Friday. Technically this is my sons game, but he lets me play and I’m even allowed my own room next time his house gets an extension 🤗🤣
I’m so hooked. I’m going sign up for online can I start visiting people properly. We have oranges on our island for trading purposes!

I've been going a while but running out of ideas to develop my island, so would love some inspiration.

I haven't done any dream tours yet - how are you getting codes to visit other islands @BlueCookieMonster? I don't know anyone IRL who plays.

I'm desperate for cherries, if anyone has them. I've got apples, oranges, peaches, pears, coconuts and bamboo shoots.

Google turnip exchange you can register and visit other islands i might open my island up over the weekend I have spare recipes all over my beach

Just logged on, we have only got 30 Nook miles, I don’t think I’ll be flying anywhere tonight!

You only need tickets to go to mystery islands, nor other peoples. You can visit other peoples Islands without tickets.

I made the mistake of putting my 6 yo DS as first player, so I haven’t been able to properly create my island. Now that he has the island designer app he’s made a right bloody mess of the place!

My house is beautiful though, if I do say so myself. I’m especially pleased with my kitchen.

We aren’t on line. Got the 7 day free trial, realised we don’t know anyone else with the game and so cancelled it.

Is there a way of getting any other fruit if you’re not on line?
When I go to islands with my nook ticket I only ever get my own fruit (peaches) or coconuts.

Eminy my nine year old is primary resident, fortunately he got bored, so it’s all mine now!!

@Eminybob you can try sending the other islanders a postcard from the airport and attach a fruit - sometimes they send you something new back.
If you want bamboo shoots with travelling, the buy turnips on Sunday mornings and she posts you some bamboo shoots the following day

For those of you “sharing” with your DC, you can add a second player to the island which means you get your own house. You need to set it up on the switch account settings first, then it should give you the option to start the game as either player.

@BlueCookieMonster sadly it seems no matter what naughty tricks we try, islanders just won’t move out when we really want them too! I have a pink tiger I am desperately trying to hoof out but she just won’t go!!!

Also, I know it goes against all the social media guidelines we make our kids abide by, but if anyone wants to swap friend codes just PM me :-)
