After 2 weeks of moving everything to the beach, flattening out the whole island and starting from scratch I am done my whole island is renovated!

I’ve just visited @FedUpWithBriiiiick it’s so zen like. I love the yoga area! It’s all so neat and organised. I love the villagers all in lines on two tiers. It’s also made me realise I could have just knocked through the cliffs from the little secret cove rather than putting an incline in 🤦🏻‍♀️ Yuka was a bit abrupt with me 😅

Thank you Squiz! I’m not a very imaginative person, so it’s not the most interesting of islands!

Oh I thought it was imaginative @FedUpWithBriiiiick as it was quite different to other islands I’ve visited.

I’m still waiting for my ds to finish expanding his house so he’s happy for us to share our dream code 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m going to have to earn the money and leave it outside his house, he’s taking forever. But trying to respect his wishes as it’s supposed to be him and his brothers island 😂

We had our Nooks cranny upgrade yesterday so today I’m going to have to make several trips with all the stuff I couldn’t sell yesterday!

I met some friends on the AC discord group and I love seeing their islands! Some people are so creative. I think I need to spend some time visiting islands and getting ideas, then I might get brave with the terraforming tools!

I paid off Nook but it's a fool's errand! I was looking forward to my upgraded storage but idk you have to pay 500k for it. Grrrrrr. The only advantage us you can customise your house free once a day so I might mix it up a bit.

I'm tidying up my island ready for a remodel so the extra storage is useful.

Has anyone tried time travelling to get stuff? The stick insect is only available 4am-8am and 5pm-7pm....times not very convenient for me to play. I’ve had a couple of goes of adjusting the time on the switch to see if I can get it. I still can’t find it and I feel like a big cheat!

I am also looking for the walking stick - I'm planning to try taking some palm trees to a mystery island and trying to force them to spawn

The time travelling thing caused lots of weeds to appear on our island, and also lost my streak on accessing the nook miles machine. I did however manage to go back and buy some turnips as we missed the seller on Sunday!

It took 2 mystery island trips but I finally caught a walking stick
I think taking the palm trees is unnecessary - you could just move the ones that are on the island you visit

I tried and it didn’t work. I’m wondering if I did it wrong as I just left one palm tree where it was and I’m now thinking I needed to move it from reading your post.
Also tried to spawn a tarantula that

way in the evening - also didn’t work. I’d trashed all the spawn sites but mole crickets kept spawning underground 😬
I have actually caught a tarantula on my island but I was playing as my ds at the time, I haven’t seen another one since I caught that!

I put three palm trees in a row on the beach so I could walk round them without scaring bugs off However it took forever to catch all the other bugs that kept spawning and I was on the verge of giving up when the walking stick appeared

I did the same as Ave (lined them up on the beach), and it worked after about 15 mins. Keep trying!

Right I will try again! After moaning that the tarantula hadn’t come back he spawned twice last night and both times he attacked me and I didn’t manage to get him 🤪

Can someone please explain the thing about spawning trees on mystery islands? And how to spawn bugs?

@DearPrudence I love your science centre 😍 and all the street names. Lots of inspo for my island which is very much a work in progress. Strangely the outside of our houses are identical!

I got a tarantula last night, actually managed to hit my head on the wall, as it threw it back shouting yes 😅 it was just such a relief after the tension of trying to catch it without mucking up!
