Hi Noveau. Welcome
Sorry to hear you are still suffering KobaniDaughters. TMJ disorders, IBS, migraine etc. can all be linked to hormonal issues and or exacerbated by stress. An area of medicine that definitely needs more research and effective treatments. I hope things improve for you soon.
PartTime sorry to hear you are having teeth issues. I'd be interested in your implant experiences. (As I'm looking into that myself).

Yesterday:
B: Hot chocolate (Green and Black's is out of stock everywhere and my tub only has a few mugs left) seeded oatcakes, apple
Sn: Hobnobs
L: GoodLife Nutburger, mash, carrots, peas, leeks
D: Smoky Pinto Beans, galicky spring greens, lemon gremolata (which lifted and brightened it) based on:www.feastingathome.com/black-eyed-peas-recipe/

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 01/03/2022 13:03

I'm vegan and dieting because I am porky.

Breakfast - fridge porridge is my favourite breakfast and sometimes lunch.

Lunch today - pasta and fine strips of raw veg - carrots, red cabbage, peppers, avocados.

Dinner: Fruit smoothie with pumpkin seeds.

KobaniDaughters · 01/03/2022 15:01

Thanks @SapatSea I do wonder if the IBS stuff and now jaw stuff is stress related, I don’t FEEL stressed but there is a lot going on so maybe my body is taking the hit instead of my mind? Going to seriously aim to do 30mins of yoga every day to help with that

@Shehasadiamondinthesky by fridge porridge is that the same as overnight oats? I LOVE that too but because I tend not to eat breakfast I always forget about it but it’s also the perfect lunch

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 01/03/2022 21:19

Yes overnight oats.

Nouveaunew · 01/03/2022 23:13

I’m amazed at how little people on this thread eat to be honest. It makes me wonder if I’ve been grossly overeating all these years.

B: granola & DF milk
S: 2 chocolate biscuits & tea
L: veggie soup & 2 slices of bread
S: 2 pancakes & 2 biscuits
D: 4 pancakes, blueberries, DF yoghurt & syrup. 3 glasses of wine.

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 01/03/2022 23:25

@Nouveaunew I think it's really hard to tell how much people eat (at least a lot of the time) I don't often declare my alcohol either ;)
Having said that, it was an unusually small dinner for me, but out all evening and didn't have time to cook...

B: porridge with sultanas
L: Dahl, roasted butternut:cauliflower, rice
D: toast with marmite and avocado. Fry’s chocolate cream

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 01/03/2022 23:27

But forgot to ask @Nouveaunew - what kind of pancakes? Were they crepes or American style? Am looking for a crepe recipe 😊

KobaniDaughters · 02/03/2022 02:00

Agreed you just don’t know portion sizes! I only bother writing down alcohol if it was especially delicious or OTT or needed (though I actually drank on Friday for the first time in 6 weeks - we did a delayed Burns Night and I ate ALL the vegan haggis and drank ALL the whisky!)

@PartTimeDomesticGoddess I’m making these tonight, half with savoury filling of mushrooms, leeks and spinach and half sweet with squirty cream, fruit, lemon and sugar

KobaniDaughters · 02/03/2022 04:35

L: leek and potato soup, an orange
S: hummus, my body weight in cheese
D: 2 savoury pancakes, 2 sweet pancakes

SapatSea · 02/03/2022 10:03

It's lovely you all made pancakes for Shrove Tuesday - I forgot this year.
Yesterday:
B: Half a Vegan croissant and Pain au chocolat that my H picked up from a bakery near where we used to live
L: Red lentil coconut Dal,spinach, lime, coriander, chappati
Sn: Toasted Vegan scone
D: Steamed veg, rice, sesame oil, seeds, soy , white pepper

Today:
B: Hot chocolate, toasted scone
L: Porridge, prunes, cinnamon, seeds, milled flaxseed, plum and apple puree, flaked almonds.
D: Courgetti, satay peanut sauce, veg, lime, coriander, sesame seeds or rice and veg again if I can't face it/be bothered.

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 03/03/2022 07:37

Ooh - please tell me more about your pancakes @KobaniDaughters! Crepes or pancakes? What savoury filling/topping?

Yesterday was

B: porridge with sultanas
L: beetroot, butternut and chickpea Asian stew
D: Meera sodhas butternut, cannellini and tomato tray bake with crusty bread and plant butter. Magnum

KobaniDaughters · 03/03/2022 14:48

@PartTimeDomesticGoddess we did a mushroom, leek and spinach filling for the savoury with some actually pretty good sour cream I found and then I just put out lemon sugar, chocolate chips, squirty cream, strawberries etc for everyone to help themselves for the sweet - though I think anything other than lemon and sugar is sacrilege 😉

Yesterday:
L: “chicken” and middle soup
S: orange, strawberries, bread and butter
D: mixed veg risotto (using up bits from the fridge: mushrooms, carrots, fennel and cauliflower) with an avocado salad

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 05/03/2022 13:06

Hope everybody is OK and busy eating delicious food
Those savoury pancakes sound delicious @KobaniDaughters

Thursday
B: alpro cherry yogurt, trek peanut protein bar
L: lentil and root veg curry
D: spinach soup with nooch, marmite sandwich
S: magnum

Yesterday
B: Costa cheeze and ham toastie
L: minestrone and nooch
S: crackers with garlic and herb cream cheese
Dinner at DimT with DD15 - spicy veg dim sum followed by vegan Korean chicken with steamed rice

ppeatfruit · 05/03/2022 14:05

Hello lovelies I'm back!!! Sorry to hear some of you are not too well.
Kobani Do you know your Blood Type? I follow it and know what gives me belly ache exactly. Handy!

B. Back home, no time (or inclination) to make a smoothie so a fruit plate ,half a pomelo and pear with quickly cooked nuts: pecans, walnuts, and hazels (they're much easier to eat and digest than raw) I always take them travelling with some sultanas and dates.
L. Pumpernickel. slice of my favourite french spelt sourdough bread pnut butter, olive oil and low salt yeast spread. a raw shallot. Mint vegan chocolate.
S. steamed cauliflour with tamari and olive oil. With quinoa crackers .

To whover said that it seems I don't eat much. (well I'm ssuming you meant me) Grin I don't because I lost 3 stone with Paul Mackenna and if you eat slowly and take note of when you feel full and stop it does work, bUT you must also eat when you're hungry. so sometimes eating 4 smallish meals rather than 3 blowouts works for me. It's the best (and I've tried a few diets Grin ) never CC though I couldn't be faffed with that.

Oh I just thought of your stomach problems Kobani I take Betaine supplements when I've had food I know I'm not good with or I've got pains; it's the main ingredient in Viridian Digestive Aid. It's vegan and has only good ingredients no fillers. I don't know if you can get it in the States though.

L. Baked asparagus and leeks with tamari marinaded fried tofu. Couple of pieces of v. dark choc. and honey on oat cakes.

Thanks @ppeatfruit I’ll take a look. Tummy has been ok recently and only bad when I’ve over eaten and def think I’m stress eating. Usually I do IF to help curb but considering the stress clenching and jaw pain too am just trying to be more mindful, eating when hungry and stopping when full and slowing down (all your Paul McKenna tips). Have fallen into terrible habits of snacking while cooking dinner and snacking after dinner!!

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 07/03/2022 15:11

Glad to hear your stomach has been more settled @KobaniDaughters

Yesterday was

B: pancakes with lemon and sugar (crepe style)
L: seeded roll filled with squeaky bean pastrami, mustard and gherkin slices. Chocolate digestives.
S: crisps, ice cream
Dinner was a supper club from The Brook restaurant (treat for our 20th wedding anniversary). The menu was called Seoul Food, think Korean tapas - gochujang meatballs, chicken skewers, hoisin mushroom bao, popcorn cauliflower, fresh pickled greens and jajangmyeon noodles

KobaniDaughters · 07/03/2022 15:56

Happy anniversary @PartTimeDomesticGoddess

SapatSea · 07/03/2022 16:07

Welcome back ppeatfruit and glad your tummy has clamed down KobaniDaughters
PartTime was your Korean box good? lovely idea.

I've been mostly eating the usual.Last night I made vegetable kebabs tossed in Ras el Hanout and served them with riced cauliflower based on this:
www.feastingathome.com/moroccan-cauliflower-rice/
but with prunes instead of apricots and loads of toasted seeds and preserved lemon. Also had flatbread, harissa mixed into alpro yoghurt, pickled chillies.

Today:
B: seeded oatcakes
Sn: Dark Chocolate
L: Goodlife Beanburger, mash, carrots and broccoli
D: Roast cauliflower and chickpea curry, garlic spring greens, chappati

I LOVE the Digestive Betaine because it just gets my weight back to normal without any nasty side effects!!

Glad you had an interesting meal for your anniversary Domestic was it nice? Grin

Thanks Sapat Grin
