That's funny sapat this looked exactly like a medium to small cauliflour but made of broccoli if you see what I mean it was lovely.

I second "safe travels" ppeatfruit. Look forward to hearing from you again in a month's time. I wanted to see your broccoli "cauliflower" hybrid.I had a quick look online but searches kept coming up with Romanesco and then these little shoots that look adorable (but which I've never seen for sale)

D: Sweet potato slices, mushrooms, red onion and padron peppers roasted with mexican spice, served with cauliflower rice with black beans and toasted pumpkin seeds, lime juice and coriander. A tomato and scallion salsa.

Today:
B: Toast and jam
L: Falafels, beetroot hummus and salad
D: Thai style soup - lots of lemongrass, ginger and chilli, courgetti, tofu, mushrooms, carrots, scallions, lime and coriander.

Kobani the Feta seems to have been a fanatstic find. The gnocchi sound like proper comfort food.

Wednesday:

KobaniDaughters I can see how that recipe would be epic with white miso and noosh. Added sausages are a good call.

@SapatSea - I meant to say that I agree with you about flora block plant butter. Looks like margarine but tastes more like butter. It's what we all use now and DH only likes butter.
Am excited to have got my panettone today. I had one of these last year and it was delicious (toasted and buttered 😋). It's pricey at £15, but one of my Christmas treats. I've seen small ones in H&B for £4 which is what I probably should have bought 😂

DD15 had an inset day so we had lunch at pizza express, where I had an excellent vegan veneziana (with chilli) and a small piece of carrot cake. Pizza was excellent, carrot cake was ok
D: falafel, hummus and salad wrap, chocolate brownie and mulled wine at a Christmas market

Saturday
B: 2 slices of toast - one with chilli roasted cherry tomatoes, the other with marmite
S: dates, Apple
Friends over for dinner. I made a huge stew (cannellini beans, plant kitchen chorizo, loads of veg, dumplings) which we had with some steamed cauliflower/broccoli/peas and crusty bread. We had rum babas for pudding 😂. DD18 has requested them for Christmas dessert, so I needed to trial them. They were decent and I think I know where to improve for next time

Sunday
B: toast and marmalade
S: dates, collective raspberry yogurt and seeds, popchips
D: Vietnamese tofu and Singapore vermicelli with red pepper, broccoli, green beans, carrot. Cherry bakewell slice (bought from a food stall at Fridays Christmas market and it was delicious)

Monday
L: lentil and root veg curry, piece of naan bread
S: beetroot
D: puff pastry tart (red onion, thyme, feta), garlic roasted baby potatoes, broccoli, peas and flat beans

Lush meals as usual PartTime

Last night I made a chickpea curry and some lemony/garlic spinach and roti on the side. I used this recipe as my guide:

I like how Chetna Makan recipes often only use two fresh tomatoes and a bit of puree rather than a lot of tinned tomatoes. I much prefer the lighter result.

Hi everyone - back and broke so a lot of storecupboard meals and also stuff I can pull together quickly as a bit overwhelmed with work but Hawaii was wonderful and way more tofu poke available than the last time we were there!

Yesterday:
S: almond butter and chocolate bamba snacks
L: artichoke heart salad
D: tahini miso mushroom pasta (first time trying it and it was great storecupboard comfort food)
S: peanuts
