What the pettiest revenge you have taken?

Topic came up in work today about revenge on annoying co workers and was quite shocked what people do! It was light hearted, nothing serious. Came up as someone’s tin opener went missing years ago (he’s now left) and my colleague admitted he hid it after the colleague pissed him off.
Any other stories whilst I’m bored waiting for a medical appointment?

Saw an ex a few months after he dumped me. He was notorious for overthinking things. I gave him a big smile and said 'hi'.
He looked horrified.
Hes probably still stewing over it.
I was disproportionately amused.
This is probably only funny to people who know him, but it was petty.

My sil makes horrible bitchy comments, one day I was at an event she was having and she was desperately arse licking and trying to impress someone who had attended, someone she was impressed with and was trying to ingratiate her self to,

I got on quite well with the woman so loudly in front of sil I said in a joking manner, oh Jane’s so lovely and so funny , you’d never beleive the stuff she says to me, and rolled out loudly many examples, with a sweet smile, like I found it amusing,

the woman was horrified shaking her head and side eying her, as my sil was stuttering and trying to justify it, I just smiled and acted like I’d done nothing bad, and kept going, everything from interior design to her Brutal judgment of other fat women, this went down particularly well as the lady was in this category,

she didn’t say anything after but was very wary of me, as whenever I called her out she’d say its just a joke, so I took her at her word, and loudly and for a prolonged period detailed in excruciating detail all her “funny jokes” about decor choices, and the appearance and eating habits of fat women,

it did calm the comments down a lot, and I regret nothing, my husband was like wow, but I was like she said it so she can own it,

Good for you! Just what people like this need 👏👏

Are you 5?

I don’t think this is in the spirit of the thread.

I mean, imagine admitting on a public message forum…..

that your brand new just moved in boyfriend was doing your head in so much because he wouldn’t take off his shoes indoors, left a towel on the bathroom floor and most egregiously, never put the coffee canister wheee it lived. And when you throw him out, you go into the kitchen to see…… he had moved the coffee canister to the other side of the room.

😂😂😂

My sister has OCD when I used to go to her house I would move things around and she always noticed. She knew exactly where it was. I would also flick drops of water on her bathroom floor knowing that was one of her obsessions. 😂😂😂 Anyway I’ve been no contact with her for a few years now because she’s a narcissist. Nothings ever her fault always someone else that started it. She tries to speak to us if we bump into her and makes a right tit of herself. I just pretend she doesn’t exist.

My parents didn't drive and were a little older so when we all moved out we used to go home once a week on different days to help out. My sister did some cleaning and also did the washing and I brought my mother shopping and did the ironing. My brother also came home once a week to be waited on and have his washing done, usually eight or nine shirts. It really annoyed the two of us but we didn't want to upset our mother so we did the shirts as well. After a while I just started folding them and ironing the front so that they looked really neat and perfectly ironed. I always wondered what he thought when he took out the shirt to find only a square at the front had been ironed. He never said anything.
A few years later he got married so no more shirts.

The whole point is petty retaliation!

I had a horrible job in a supermarket. Manager and head supervisor were really snotty and spoke to me like a child (I was 18) after a week they decided they didnt like me and told me I would be sacked at the end of the day. I spent the whole day pricing up all the goods at half price ( before the days of barcodes) I placed them all a few rows back so it would take them a few days to realise. I walked out at 5pm with a huge smile on my face ☺️ 😊

I lived with a then-bf. When we moved in together I had this fab fridge-freezer. It was wide, and tall, and great.

But we had a fitted kitchen in the new house that it wouldn't fit in, so it was put in the garage and we used it for drinks, Christmas, large food shops etc. The fitted one wasn't very big so this was useful.
Idiot ex was always filling up the garage with crap related to motorbikes, so often I literally couldn't open the door to use the fridge, more specifically the freezer.

And it got more and more battered as well. He had a photo of him and his motorbike mates printed on enormous paper and stuck it on the door.
And kept his fucking fishing bait in it (in the seven years I knew him I think he went fishing twice, but somehow the fridge was always full of live maggots)

Anyway, when I left him I was hoping to take it. But in the end, my new house had fitted fridge freezer too and I had nowhere for it.

I knew there was a load of frozen chicken in it.

So the day I left, I popped out to the garage, and turned the electricity off at the wall.

This. How arrogant of this poster to think this is their right

I wanted to write that the sort of neighbours who don’t tell you they are moving are the sort of ex neighbours who have already got the champagne on ice in the new house precisely because they are leaving neighbours like the OP. But then I thought that was a bit mean.

You should try it sometime. It’s fun. Be a change from polishing your halo.

No thanks and no need to be spiteful

My first boyfriend had a part time job in McDonalds and I found out (after a line of previous shotty behaviour) that he'd got his colleague who was 10 years older pregnant. He was the youngest of three, the older two were popular and over-achievers, he was the black sheep that never met the same standards. So before he returned home from university after that eventful term.... I anonymously sent his parents a 'Book of Baby Names' and a blank card congratulationing them on becoming grandparents.

When DC was a baby I had to feed the parking meter to do drop offs/collections at nursery. One particular parking attendant used to target the mums dropping off. One day I got caught, my first and only ticket. A few days later I was asking some school children for 20p pieces and the attendant came out of a hiding place, saying I nearly got you! I then got a bank bag of 20ps and if I ever saw a meter about to expire near nursery I would feed it. I think his bonus must have reduced.

Years ago when renting a property for a year we started receiving some cases of wine in the post for the owners. As we were through an agency we didn’t have direct details for them so we stored the boxes in a cupboard.

When we gave notice to move out they insisted on so many open homes which we obliged and kept the house spotless. The really rude part was they a rearranged our furniture to stage the house for their photos (we saw this from the online listing- put our furniture back before we came home)!! They refused to give our bond back wanting to charge us for multiple ridiculous and petty things including to resand and seal the floors for scratches. We had to take them to a tribunal but eventually got all of our bond back but we also kept the several cases of wine. It felt like sweet revenge for all of the grief and anxiety they caused us.

This is incredibly nerdy but I used to run a gaming chat server.

One of the men who "ran" it with me did absolutely NOTHING but started telling me I didn't do enough work... So I removed myself from the server and gave him full admin privileges.

He spent about 2 weeks fuming before desperately asking me for all of my spreadsheets and how to fix various things.

Eventually I agreed to rejoin the server, whereupon I discovered he had spread a bunch of horrible lies about why I had left! And people believed those lies and were slurring me horrendously...

...So I deleted the entire server! 350 people lost touch because of me. Well deserved. I'm glad I didn't let them have the fruits of my labour.

My daughter was bullied out of a hobby group when she was younger by one particular ring leader and her parents were so incredibly dismissive despite documented evidence of their daughter's vile behaviour. A few years later the dad's company bid on a significant contract at my old employer - where I was in charge of the entire project. He had no idea who I was and I strung him along and let him think he'd got the contract right up until the last second. My only regret is that I didn't dare tell him why.

Many years ago my friend discovered her boyfriend was cheating on her. His car was his pride and joy, and she discovered it outside the house of the woman he was cheating with. We went back at 2 am and she superglued empty fag packets all over his windscreen then stuck fag ends on the drivers window spelling out 'cheating fucker'. It was very satisfying to watch.

A really aggressive girl at boarding school was caught by me stealing a salmon bap from my tuck that she thought my GM had just bought at visiting time.

Didn't tell her it was from the day before and said she could have it, which she did!

I'm not sure if I was relieved or disappointed that she was fine!

On a dance floor, a group of girls kept bumping into me and my friends. I ordered a glass of iced water from the bar and next time one of them did it, "accidentally spilt" the entire glass down her back.

I went on a bad date with a bad guy.
Shortly after I set up a fake dating profile, posing as a much younger woman, and arranged to meet him. You should have seen how excited he was to be meeting such a young woman! It was gross. Obviously didn’t show up. He must’ve been sat at the bar waiting for a long time lol.

😂

Not really revenge as such but it’s interesting how many men post racist, sexist and generally shitty comments on Facebook available to screenshot AND happen to have their employer listed Wink
I particularly enjoyed the one that said something awful about women and children and listed his Army details who were surprisingly easy to contact
