What the pettiest revenge you have taken?

Topic came up in work today about revenge on annoying co workers and was quite shocked what people do! It was light hearted, nothing serious. Came up as someone’s tin opener went missing years ago (he’s now left) and my colleague admitted he hid it after the colleague pissed him off.
Any other stories whilst I’m bored waiting for a medical appointment?

My General Manager was a b*tch.
She did so many things for me that I had panic attacks before work daily. I couldn't leave, was going through divorce with £1500 childcare bill on my own.
However, few months later I got an offer for a job at my friend's workplace with almost double salary. They were opening new department and needed lots of staff. We were very close with the rest of the team and 9 out of 11 left the same day, including me (long story, we were placed on casual contracts by her so there was no notice period). We all left, she was in position cutting her massive nail extensions in her office crying for an overnight shift. And CEO fired her few months later.

Beautiful x

My sil makes horrible bitchy comments, one day I was at an event she was having and she was desperately arse licking and trying to impress someone who had attended, someone she was impressed with and was trying to ingratiate her self to,

I got on quite well with the woman so loudly in front of sil I said in a joking manner, oh Jane’s so lovely and so funny , you’d never beleive the stuff she says to me, and rolled out loudly many examples, with a sweet smile, like I found it amusing,

the woman was horrified shaking her head and side eying her, as my sil was stuttering and trying to justify it, I just smiled and acted like I’d done nothing bad, and kept going, everything from interior design to her Brutal judgment of other fat women, this went down particularly well as the lady was in this category,

she didn’t say anything after but was very wary of me, as whenever I called her out she’d say its just a joke, so I took her at her word, and loudly and for a prolonged period detailed in excruciating detail all her “funny jokes” about decor choices, and the appearance and eating habits of fat women,

it did calm the comments down a lot, and I regret nothing, my husband was like wow, but I was like she said it so she can own it,

Oh superb !! I actually think I’ve got a very platonic crush on you for that x

Ex boyfriend cheated but had left all his xbox game discs at mine.
I scratched every single one before giving them back.
i was 18 and the thought of him getting annoyed at his games skipping made me happy.

Not me. But a colleague ordered a 5.30am room service breakfast for an irritating manager the night after a late night out that had finished at 2am (we were all staying in a hotel). In the days when you filled a room service form in and hung it on the outside of your door the night before.

Replaced my engagement ring diamond with a bit of shaped glass before I gave it back to him. When he left he had some cooked samosas in my fridge so I squashed them in the middle of his packed suitcase. Also included all his debt letters on top for his mum to see.

Brother may have pees in his aftershave. Trust me he deserved it.

Manager moaned like shit at me for being 3 minutes late back from lunch and that I would 'receive a warning' if I was late again, even though I had stayed half an hour to 40 minutes past my finishing time 3 times in the past 2 weeks. (Overtime that I did NOT get paid for!!!)

I was so angry, that I popped into his little office, and took the key to his filing cabinet, and took his debit card and driving licence off his desk. I hid them all in my shoe.

2 hours after I had taken this stuff, he came into the office and said 'where the fuck my filing cabinet key? And my debit card and driving licence have gone of my desk!' We all said 'I don't know' and shrugged our shoulders... It was hard for him to pinpoint who took them, as 20-odd people has passed through since he last saw them, including customers, contractors, cleaners, and various staff.

He had to smash the lock off the filing cabinet, and it had to stay unlocked after that, and he had to pay for a new driving licence, and wait a week for another debit card.

I threw the key in a local council bin, and took the debit card and driving licence home and cut them up and binned them...

#SorryNotSorry He was a twat.

I put a holding fee down on a rental property many years ago. Once they had our money the agents became snooty and unpleasant.

I found another property but continued to play along.

On the day we were supposed to sign the contract and move in I told them their rudeness had put us off and we weren’t moving in/signing contracts.

I lost the holding fee, but they lost ££££.

I checked listing and it was still up for let months later and they had to reduce the price.

Fairy liquid and bleach in the fairy bottle, wrote Liar onto ex's car. Didn't come out.

Possibly not revenge as such but definitely petty.. I was upset with a 'friend', someone who dumped me and treated me badly and also upset some other friends. We had known each other forever so we had many WhatsApp groups in common. She lurked for years with no contact then out of the blue came back from the dead, no explanation. She totally took over conversation and took it upon herself to organise things for us. Someone told me to change her name in my contacts. I cannot tell you how much satisfaction it gave me to read a new message from 'thick bitch' or 'twat face'. I won't tell you what I used as it was a pun on her name. She no longer irritated me and I smiled everything she replied.

That's got to be the best (least bad) one!

DreamyRedNewt · Yesterday 18:02

I didn't do this but a friend did, many years ago (when she was in her twenties). She filled the keyhole of her abusive ex's car with superglue. I thought it was really clever! As there was no obvious damage but then he couldn't open the car. You couldn't do this to a car nowadays

dinofloor · Yesterday 18:04

Next door neighbour has a habit of leaving rubbish, like big plastic tubs etc, in the road to “reserve” a space (public road no parking restrictions and neighbour isn’t disabled) so I have taken to very helpfully putting them in the recycling bin for her 😇

Horrible ExH moved out, leaving a load of his stuff in the loft. Photos, diaries, swimming certificates, that sort of sentimental thing. I asked him more than once to collect his stuff, which he ignored. He asked months later to collect it and I took great pleasure in telling him I wasn't operating a storage unit and had taken it all to the tip.

When I was 17 I ended a year long relationship with a high school boyfriend but we stayed good friends and he would still pop over to see me and we got along well, he would regularly mention getting back together but I really didn’t fancy him although thought he was a nice guy. Around two months later I found out that he had been going off to have sex with his second cousin during our relationship! I went to school with the cousin too so she knew me well and she always acted so nice to my face. I felt so humiliated that other people had known about their antics while I was oblivious.
He had weird dress sense and had a treasured pair of USA flag trousers that he had left at my house as some kind of memento. I cut them up into tiny pieces and posted them to his home. Made me feel slightly better!

A woman who I work with is unnecessarily loud, never stops talking about her children, tells every story at least three times, comments on everything anyone says, always leaves her lunch box cluttering up the staff room (no-one else does this), introduced herself to me as Mrs X (when I'd used my first name), and told me off for using the "wrong" fork. She is also very short.

Every time I see her lunch box left on the table I put it on a high shelf or on top of a cupboard.

How is that revenge? It probably just looked like part her eccentric outfit.

And do you always carry a peg about your person. just in case?

When my ex cheated on me I used his toothbrush to clean under the rim in the toilet!

Tootsurly · Yesterday 18:24

Absolute arse of an ex boyfriend who ghosted me. Really nasty piece of work, it turned out.

He'd logged on to his Lovefilm account on my laptop so we could watch a film, but not logged out. I changed his subscription from one film a month to the maximum - two or three a week or something. Not sure how long it would have taken him to realise, but it amuses me to think about it dawning on him what must have happened.

When I moved out of a rented house years ago the letting agents told me I couldn't have any of my deposit back because the house was in a state.

This was because of things like a crack in the skirting board that was already there when I moved in and apparent water marks on a shower curtain that they wanted to charge £50 to replace. I'd been there for over ten years and the shower curtain wasn't new then so it clearly wasn't worth £50.

They said there was no point disputing it with the tenancy deposit scheme because they had already spoken to them and they agreed with all the charges.

I disputed it anyway and got the whole deposit back.

My petty revenge was frequently clicking on their online ads so they would have to pay for them.

And do you always carry a peg about your person. just in case?

It was a daft game a few people were doing around the site. Think there were some cheap pegs on sale somewhere, and some people maybe had their own for washing.

A local shop owner falsely accused me publicly of lying about something (long story) and more, so I got DH to go to the shop, order something, and ask for a VAT receipt. As we suspected, the VAT number was false so we dobbed them into HMRC.
