What the pettiest revenge you have taken?

Topic came up in work today about revenge on annoying co workers and was quite shocked what people do! It was light hearted, nothing serious. Came up as someone’s tin opener went missing years ago (he’s now left) and my colleague admitted he hid it after the colleague pissed him off.
Any other stories whilst I’m bored waiting for a medical appointment?

I had a rude, annoying colleague who bought a specific type of cake from the station bakery on a Friday and ate it on the train on the way home.

i finished 15 minutes earlier. Normally spent time doing some bits and pieces but three Fridays in a row I left on time and bought every one of the cakes he liked that were left.

We got the same train and each time he complained to me that they had no cakes left and had no idea they were all in my bag.

I only stopped because I couldn’t financially justify buying cakes that had cream in when I couldn’t eat them as I can’t have dairy 😂😂

Kind of biting off your nose to spite your face.

My colleague really pissed me off so I unplugged her computer when she left for the evening. The following morning it took her ages to realise why her PC wouldn’t work. She even phoned IT. She finally worked it out and plugged it back in. She thought the cleaners had knocked the plug out. I sat quietly throughout feeling smug. Tbf I was in my twenties and a bit childish but it was fun at the time.

In your 20s...? Meh, you're never too old to inflict petty revenge on people! Grin

in a way. The cakes got eaten (just not by me) and the horrid colleague had his treat spoiled.

It was petty, but felt good.

Right now, I’m playing the organ for choir practice, while our choir director is waffling painfully slowly, and doing warm ups, painfully slowly. We haven’t sung a single note of song yet, and we didn’t start on time. I’m giving starting notes much more loudly than usual, and before he has finished speaking. I wonder if we’re going home before midnight?

GoldInYourSmile · Yesterday 20:06

My entire work team went on a one-off, interesting fun and free training course that I wanted to go on but didn’t get invited to, leaving me to man the office all day by myself. They were all really looking forward to it and I was asked to book a meeting room for the whole day. Surprise surprise, the only room I could find was on another of our company’s sites, in another town half an hour from our normal site, so inconvenient for most and sadly really unpredictable traffic so being late was almost inevitable. It all went exactly as I planned.

I actually got an apology three years later! And a promise that if the one-off interesting, fun and free training course was ever to be repeated, I could go 🙃

Why don't you say something?

I had really horrendous housemates. They did some serious drugs in our communal living space, would stay up till the wee hours being horrendously loud even when there were people in the house who worked shifts and had early starts, they'd eat other people's food, a few of them had long term partners they regularly cheated on, the list goes on.

Whilst I was waiting to move out (had to give 2 months notice) I bought some stinky sprays (one like shit, one weed and one skunk) and used them on their clean laundry every chance I got. They were convinced our machine was broken so started going to the launderette 🫣 Less money for drugs I guess.

Also one of them misplaced something they really needed for work or they'd get into trouble. I knew where it was but didn't help. I still feel bad about that one tbh.

Ex partner had an affair.

OW had a partner, so I told him but he didn’t believe it and they stayed together. She made the mistake of gloating over me.

6 or so months later (I still had access to ex’s socials - foreign but similar to Facebook)
I messaged her partner from ex’s account asking him to tell her to leave me (aka him) alone as he had moved on and didn’t want attention from her any more.

He ditched her
Revenge served cold

Rinsed a bosses cup out with the flush of the toilet.
I was 17 and didn't give a fuck.

When I was a young and poorly paid civil servant and could barely afford to eat, a group of very well paid and older colleagues used to use all my milk for their tea and coffee.
One Friday afternoon, once I’d made my last cup of tea of the day, I poured around 10 sachets of salt from the canteen into it.
I watched one of them go off with their little tray with the mugs on it, to go and make their drinks.
I got great satisfaction watching them all spit their drinks over their desks. They didn’t do it again.

My neighbour told me they were moving the next day, didn’t even bother to tell us they were selling. I made sure to park directly outside their house as I knew they’d not bother to book the spaces and plan to ask the street WhatsApp for people to move. I walked my child to school that morning to make sure I didn’t move my car. They knocked but i ‘didn’t hear’ and I muted the street WhatsApp. Deserved it for being knobs. Who sells their house and only lets you know once they complete!

MIL would mock and criticise my parenting when my baby was tiny. Everytime she did it I would do something small and petty and blame baby brain. Think salt instead of sugar in her coffee. The best one was “accidentally” bringing her tv remote to my house in the nappy bag, the night before holiday so she couldn’t get it for over a week.

You didn't see a For Sale sign, people round to view, no-one aware on the WhatsApp?

Poured out every bottle of exh's Matteus and filled them with Ribena.
His ex has beaten every revenge trick I've heard....she snapped every head off his prized Lladro and super glued them back on the wrong way round..
She also sold their marital home and didnt tell him. He wasn't on the mortgage as he had bad credit..
He died an absolute pauper 2 years ago.

TheSlantedOwl · Yesterday 20:38

No idea why some posters are so outraged about the peg story and trying to pick holes in it! But pettiness is the theme of the thread I guess..!

This was a bingo hall in the late 90s. On Saturday nights, they put up the lottery numbers (remember you couldn't just check your phone for info).
T knew S's numbers that he'd bet on each week. They were both working, and T displayed S's numbers so he thought he had the jackpot.

It's quite an evil act though. I mean, imagine admitting that on a public message forum. Moving a jar of coffee to the other side of the room! 😱

😂
