What the pettiest revenge you have taken?

OldBore · Today 16:11

Topic came up in work today about revenge on annoying co workers and was quite shocked what people do! It was light hearted, nothing serious. Came up as someone’s tin opener went missing years ago (he’s now left) and my colleague admitted he hid it after the colleague pissed him off.
Any other stories whilst I’m bored waiting for a medical appointment?

Not me, but at an event at a festival, two girls wearing bandannas strutted to the front and began throwing sweets, but mostly to people who joined in their chant, some of whom they seemed to know. They gave a paltry amount to us and then sat down right near the front with their colourful headwear distracting us, so a bit later on my friend sneaked a peg onto the louder girl's bandanna. Somehow she didn't notice!

Spat in my ex mouthwash when I was collecting my stuff . It wasn’t my finest hour

When me and exH split he wanted the telly, so I sold it on Marketplace. A bit bitchy but it made me feel better!

Dumped my ex's sports trophies. He had them for football and cricket and when he left he took only the football ones. We sold the house and I did the clearing and packing, he rocked up on moving day to take me to DM's where I was staying until I found somewhere. He asked after the cricket trophies and I just shrugged and told him I'd thrown them out because as he'd left them I'd assumed he didn't want them.

The look on his face kept me warm at nights for a long time.

Omg I am so glad you posted this as I was in two minds to post my story! I did exactly the same thing to a boss of mine years ago! She was a bitch and bullied me endlessly. I was only young and it was my first job. So when she left her desk which was opposite me, I got her glass of water and spat in it then watched her drink it afterwards. Gross I know but oh so satisfying!!

I prefer Trustpilot but yep, that's a satisfying one.

How is that revenge? It probably just looked like part her eccentric outfit.

PegOfJustice · Today 16:54

@Agatha1989 Because she'd have looked rather silly having been pegged and not noticed.

Not me but my cousin. He had a Saturday job and the boss was a nasty, tight git. He ordered my cousin to make him a cup of tea, so my cousin got the boss's mug and rubbed his willy around it before making the tea and presenting it to the boss.

Well, we thought it was funny at the time when my cousin told us.

My General Manager was a b*tch.
She did so many things for me that I had panic attacks before work daily. I couldn't leave, was going through divorce with £1500 childcare bill on my own.
However, few months later I got an offer for a job at my friend's workplace with almost double salary. They were opening new department and needed lots of staff. We were very close with the rest of the team and 9 out of 11 left the same day, including me (long story, we were placed on casual contracts by her so there was no notice period). We all left, she was in position cutting her massive nail extensions in her office crying for an overnight shift. And CEO fired her few months later.

My sil makes horrible bitchy comments, one day I was at an event she was having and she was desperately arse licking and trying to impress someone who had attended, someone she was impressed with and was trying to ingratiate her self to,

I got on quite well with the woman so loudly in front of sil I said in a joking manner, oh Jane’s so lovely and so funny , you’d never beleive the stuff she says to me, and rolled out loudly many examples, with a sweet smile, like I found it amusing,

the woman was horrified shaking her head and side eying her, as my sil was stuttering and trying to justify it, I just smiled and acted like I’d done nothing bad, and kept going, everything from interior design to her Brutal judgment of other fat women, this went down particularly well as the lady was in this category,

she didn’t say anything after but was very wary of me, as whenever I called her out she’d say its just a joke, so I took her at her word, and loudly and for a prolonged period detailed in excruciating detail all her “funny jokes” about decor choices, and the appearance and eating habits of fat women,

it did calm the comments down a lot, and I regret nothing, my husband was like wow, but I was like she said it so she can own it,

Omg this, I once did it for a comoany doing school photos because they did photographs of my kids but refused to give me access. It became 2 months long fight with emails between school/me/ photographers 😁🤣 I even asked my friends to leave 1* reviews for them too!

I used to work at a restaurant where one regular customer was always difficult - sending everything back, wanting off-the menu items, and never leaving a tip, because, as he loved to tell us, he was a regular, so we got enough money from him. (Owners might have - we didn't get a penny.) The kitchen staff loathed him and were known to kick his steak around the floor of the wine cellar before cooking it, and flicking cigarette ash onto it. I used to feel sick watching him eat, knowing where the steak had been.

But you are justified in that. Why would they not let you see the photos?

When I moved out of my rental property I refused to tell the absolutely useless estate agency the utilities readings. I don't actually know why it was so inconvenient as I did obviously give them to the utility company and paid my final bill, so would have thought the company would just have told them. Apparently not! Not sure if it meant they had to pay anything out, but they were definitely still calling me a month or so later to try and get them from me, so at the very least it must have been a bit of a nuisance. Hey-ho, after their behaviour during my move out, I feel no remorse whatsoever. Think I was very restrained actually.

My parents divorced when I was 11 after my dad had an affair. After they separated we used to spend weekends at my dads and the other woman house so as revenge I used to use her toothbrush as a toilet brush!

Not ashamed to say I email any women who are still pining or thinking he never cheated with a full low down of what happened in reality when he decided to "have a break". I hate the idea a good woman is sitting wondering what she did wrong or that she won't find anyone as good, when in reality he was 2 timing her and was no great catch.

When I was younger my mum had this lodger, he was a misogynistic bore who was working in it and insisted he was doing something so top secret and important that could stop the world from ending. 'the millennium bug'?! I forget if he called it that. But anyway he was a knobber who fancied my mum and kept trying crudely to flirt with her. She wasn't interested at all. Needed the money but thought him a twat.

One day I forget why but he ended up demanding I made him a meal?! It was while I was home from college and mum wasn't in. Like he thought that a cooked meal was just what men should receive if there's a vagina owner in the same building.

It was jarred pesto spaghetti with a blob of spit mixed in. He didn't say thank you. But he did eat it all!

Luckily he left soon after. Incidents unconnected as far as I know?!

You look rather silly taking “revenge” on someone for not sharing their sweeties

dressinguptime · Today 17:25

@KilkennyCats the thread is about the pettiest revenge though. Sweets and a peg (WTF?) is petty and barely revenge TBF!

CaseClosedWineOpened · Today 17:27

The person who bought our previous house was a PITA and made everything harder than it needed to be. So when we packed up I accidentally packed the pole that opened the loft hatch.

It wasn't so much that, it was arriving late (in a high profile way) and then sitting in front distracting the view.
