I've noticed a lot more northern uk attitudes on here rather than southern & wondered what the demographic of mumsnet is..

I feel the opposite tbh. NE here!! Especially on the baby names - dc would be ridiculed with the majority of suggestions I see!

Confirmation bias? Now you think you've noticed it, then you definitely will.

In my group of friends, the northerners and Welsh people seem to talk about being northern and being Welsh more than the southerners talk about being southern and I think I'd put it down to a being proud of their identity thing. However, it might just be because we're currently living in the south of England. Perhaps if we were further north, the southerners would talk about being southern more? No idea.
