They lied about the racism because it would make headlines, it would make them look like victims, it would make them money.

Crybullies, weaponising victimhood.

I’m sure that will be next, because they have so few options. But I don’t believe it will get them anywhere. BP will simply say, they are private citizens and we don’t comment on private family matters. Nobody wants them back, it’s not like they’ve got any real support, quite the opposite in fact, a closer relationship with such an unpopular and toxic pair would damage the RF. Charles will not want to hear booing on the Christmas morning walk to church.

Their behaviour wouldn’t wash in a normal family, let alone the royals, who value duty, loyalty, dignity, privacy, propriety. I can’t see how they could ever forgive how H+M treated PP and QE2 in their last years, and how they have spent years deliberately and maliciously undermining the reputation of the family and the country.

Yes I suspect that's the next trick

Starryfifty · Yesterday 22:11

For H's mental health, it would be better if he's out of the UK when William is king. It will send him into a daily rage seeing his brother and sister in law as King and Queen

Yes, I think this is where they lose @LookOutLookOutTomCruiseIsAbout, and don't realise it.
Most people have had times where they have been hurt by relatives, and most people adhere to concepts of not washing dirty linen in public, and respecting unwell elderly relatives.

OrdinaryGingerBloke · Yesterday 22:15

So the story for whatever series they’re planning is:

  1. We came back and were ignored by H family
  2. We came back and weren’t given security
  3. We tried, honest guvnor
  4. We made a public apology (should be private and sincere but hey, this is HAM)
  5. The family did not accept our applogy
  6. Oh woe is us. How awful. Kids kids.
  7. We have to tell you the stuff we left out before as the family are just so awful not to forgive us

Something like that with some arty shots of events that aren’t their events like the last programme.

Really? How extraordinary. I nearly always send cards with a Religious theme, I usually buy from charity sale held within a Church or from Church direct.
But I'm sure I've seen religious ones in every day outlets.

Nothing extraordinary about it, considering you didn’t buy your cards from any of the major supermarkets and bought your cards from an actual Church you probably didn’t trawl the aisles like I did searching for them so not sure why you are so convinced they are so widely available when they are not.

They have dark chocolate advent calendars. I've looked for one for years.
I've ordered 4 and one milk and they have lovely cards too. Very happy with those.

I ordered two of the milk chocolate ones, my little nieces will love them!

This post tells a lot. As I shared years ago on The Tig“Behind every successful woman is herself” - and that’s true… but there’s more: a community of love, a squad of support, an amazing team.

Harry is being unconsciously uncoupled, leaving the Sussex squad clergy trolls to step in as her primary support team. In the video, Lily's main job is simply to breathlessly fawn over her mother. Unsurprisingly, I'm not sold on the overall vibe of the post, but Meghan was a cute kid, and her old family photos are charming.

H was never involved in As Ever "business " was he? Only occasionally wheeled out to taste chocolate or such like

So traditionally it should go to Louis then.

I wonder if William will break with tradition and bestow it upon (2nd born child) Charlotte as "Duchess of York" in her own right. That would mean 'Duke of York' wouldn't be used in the 'next generation' and the title would either revert to the crown (if she has no sons) or be passed to her son who would be another generation removed from AMW.

Louis could be given another dukedom, say, Cambridge.

I really like this idea and, having already modernised on Charlotte's behalf so that she keeps her own birth place in the line of succession rather than dropping behind her younger brother, it would make sense to take it further and make her a Duchess in her own right. The problem, if I can put it that way, is that AMW is only 66. He could live for another 30 years based on his parents' longevity. Would William want to bestow York as a title again when the last recipient is still around? I don't know.

Making post a bit more relevant: I can't imagine how M will react if either or both HAMlets decide when they're 18 that they don't want to be called Prince or Princess..

Just the one comment??

So is this an admission that it was a lie? 👀

LookOutLookOutTomCruiseIsAbout · Yesterday 22:53

Interesting that their take is that they should have kept quiet, not that they lied. So the implication is that it’s all true. Reminds me of Harry’s “some of my family will never forgive me for writing a book”, a complete minimisation of what he did. Very much “I’m sorry you were upset by what I said” rather than “I’m sorry I was so jealous that I lied about you all being racists”.

jollygreenpea · Yesterday 22:54

What are parlour cards ? How do they differ to playing cards ?

I expect they're the same but ten times the price

Complete with HaM faces as the Kings and Queens.

Starryfifty · Yesterday 22:57

"They realise Meg's claim a member of the RF queried the colour of Archie's skin was HER big mistake" to me, it sounds like meg lied.

Et voila

That is really just beyond embarrassing. Why is Meghan getting Harry to cadge these favours rather than asking herself? Greedy and entitled.

The charity shop where I volunteer ( I.e. public service ) has only 1 box of religious themed cards , the rest being cute animals ,snowy scenes , robins and children .

AlexandraCarrington · Yesterday 23:36

I didn't see any religious themed cards in the British Library shop last year. I've had some nice boxes from there before, based on illuminated manuscripts in their collections.

That 3/4 photo of Lili mixing something in a bowl doesn't chime with me as not showing faces for protection. That little girl with everything else which has been publicised , in the right context , will be recognisable. Make your minds up M&H.

Re the M " Sorry , not sorry story" - who knows . I think they leak things and see what lands well , and if it doesn't they have (increasingly less) plausible deniability.

Wouldn't it be a Christmas treat to see the finances of As Ever . But private company so we won't. Those little videos , though , it seems to me are a very cheap way to portray a life you want to be seen as terribly upmarket and aspirational. Nearly 30 years ago I took a photo of DS against a backdrop of the one climber in flowering my little patio back garden to send to my mum. It looked fabulous. If the camera had panned back - different story 😂

MM can’t apologise for anything that makes it look like she was lying, ie. the supposed racism.

I think she will say, if anything, that mimicking the curtsey was disrespectful to QE2.

She can very handily blame Harry, saying he simply didn’t prepare her for royal life (and work).

Which may actually be true… But the reality is that she only (as) ever wanted the profile boost.

To Hollywood royalty. Hence Oprah, Montecito, the wedding guests. But she hasn’t earned it.

Imagine how powerful they would be now, as a couple, as a brand? Forget about As Ever (we have!)

Meghan had a golden opportunity to be the person that we all wanted for RF. Harry could have basked in her glory.

But instead of embracing her “power” she became embroiled in RF minutiae, I mean easily done…

Even Catherine went through the whole Waity Katie thing. Meghan just didn’t grasp this aspect.

If her & H are toast (and she will return to the US) the kids will be “international” of course…

But will she return to the bosom of Hollywood? Her actual mates are barely Z-listers.

Markus managed to bag H for her. But she doesn’t have the A-list connections she so craves.

And even if she has acting talent, she’s just too old now. She’d best get busy making jam!

Yes this really annoys me, I wanted some Christmas cards that depicted the nativity last Christmas not one of the major supermarkets stocked any, or any card shop, I eventually found some in my local garden centre, it really pissed me off.

Living in a country where faith is part of everyday life, and where Holy Days are celebrated with no one under any illusion as to the reason for the celebration, I’ve spent quite a bit of time over the years explaining the Nativity to people here who have asked why Santa Claus is so special. 🤣

And now back to Advent Calenders 😊

They are getting really desperate now. Too little, too late I think.

You can just imagine how mealy-mouthed, insincere and hypocritical this would be.
I would think that the damage is not only irreversible but unforgivable; the whole world knows what they said and did and the Sussexes will be judged accordingly as thoroughly untrustworthy and nasty people.

My late mum used to get the Leprosy Mission calendar for DD. It's a lovely way to tell the Christmas story.

Having been brought up putting money in the plate for Leprosy missions overseas I was shocked to find it was very real in the country I’ve lived in for almost 50 years but by 2015 (I think that’s the year) it had been declared Leprosy free by the WHO.
