Kate & The Middletons

I am currently reading Russsll Myers Catherine & William. Enjoying it but one thing that stands out is how the Middletons have never put a foot wrong.
Carole was not from an aristocratic background nor was Michael but they raised their kids not to put a step wrong. Kate also had embarrassing family members (Uncle Gary) but she still invited him to the wedding which was the right thing to do & it nipped the media scandal in the bud & took the wind out of any sails.. Meghan invited none of her extended family or her dad & it caused massive media speculation.
Kate was born for royal life & is a natural. Very proud of our future queen. Her parents did an amazing job.

Let's recap

Poor Doria

Have I missed anyone on this thread about the middletons???

Thomas Markle was the one who supported Megs during her teenage years when Doria wasn't around.. where was Doria?
Look at the thanks he got. 82 years old & an amputated leg, no contact from Ham.. Archie & Lily will be able to read all the articles in the future about how their other Grandad (the one who's not king) wanted desperately to meet them but his wishes were ignored... the dysfunction is so toxic & unfair to let it fester into the next generation.

? Doria was always there

I really don't know how you can defend the indefensible (ham)

Indefensible? Oh come on, get some perspective

Nope. You please get some perspective!

Really? If only others in the same circumstances got the luxury of doing very little work with no resultant drop in salary or material benefits!

Yeah, of course, but she's the future Queen.

I'm curious. Why is everyone 'poor xxx' to you op?
You seem to have a bee in your bonnet.
Are you poor, op? Do you have a poverty mindset?
Not a wealth of thinking going on, that's for sure.

? eh?
your post makes no sense at all.
OP is actually thinking unlike yourself...

Yeah, of course, but she's the future Queen.

Yep her and William have figured out no one can make them work. They get pressured into doing a few engagements. The rest they pick things that re fun like Wimbledon and film premieres.

They are a law unto themselves undoubtedly. William's father carries some clout at the moment but when he dies William will do exactly what he wants and if that is a very light schedule, no one can force him otherwise

William has already said him and Catherine will do less.
I am sure Catherine will go to Wimbledon, at least the mens. And William will go to football, at least the mens. Plus any other glitzy occasion that takes their fancy.

There will be very little else apart from the state opening of parliament, remembrance Sunday, tripping the colour, investitures of celebrities they want to meet, and garden parties where there are celebrities they want to meet.

Are they wrongly claiming doria was in prison again?
Thomas and doria had joint custody. Doria was a certified social worker.

There’s some distractingly bad grammar on this thread. <misses point>

I think a few on this thread would like all Hams inaccuracies & horrific treatment of Mr Markle to be forgotten about ... eh no, never!!

Okay I admit it,Meghan is to blame for everything the king did that was awful around princess Diana's funeral.

Sold photos to the paparazzi apparently but sure Meghan sold stories about the Royal Family to Netflix & Oprah and now expects forgiveness & security paid for by us taxpayers! She did the exact same as her dad forca hell of a lot more money?

Yep 82 years old , an amputated leg, been treated like dirt by his daughter & has never met his son in law or grandkids
King Charles was also accused of upsetting & wronging Ham but suddenly they want to "build bridges" with the king but not Mr Markle?!!

OP posts:
simpsonthecat · 20/09/2026 14:39

You called him Thomas earlier on and now he's Mr Markle.

You are so funny!

I call him Thomas "give daddy the money" Markle 😅

I call him Thomas "give daddy the money" Markle 😅

And you can call his daughter "give me all the taxpayers, Oprah & Netflix " money in exchange for royal family gossip!

The irony that Ham have done the exact same thing (multiple times!) as your accusing Mr Thomas Markle of is completely lost on you!

Nah! You are on about Mr Thomas Markle selling a few pics of himself to the paps getting fitted for a suit so Ham shut him out...
yet his daughter & Harry peddled hundreds of stories to the press about the royal family for millions, went on Oprah whinging & telling inaccuracies about the of while Prince Philip was dying & now want to be working royals again funded by the taxpayers of this salty little island!
Yes irony & hypocrisy is completely lost on you!

Yeah… way to miss the point!
Acknowledging the immense privilege Kate has in being able to prioritise her family over work, and yet not experience any diminution in material benefits would be a reasonable position. Pretending that’s similarly available to others if they only went out and sought it is disingenuous, at best.

Her name is Catherine. Are you always so rude as to mis-name people?

ThrwhelsOntHEbuzgoroundandrund · 20/09/2026 15:10

I love clocking things from the get go.

I don’t believe for a second that TM was ever going to be permitted to make an appearance at that wedding.

And that was absolutely her choice.

The insulting thing about it all is that we were expected to believe it was all about the press photo thing.

It really wasn’t.

And if we are expressing ourselves in silly emojis instead of using words?
