Kate & The Middletons

I am currently reading Russsll Myers Catherine & William. Enjoying it but one thing that stands out is how the Middletons have never put a foot wrong.
Carole was not from an aristocratic background nor was Michael but they raised their kids not to put a step wrong. Kate also had embarrassing family members (Uncle Gary) but she still invited him to the wedding which was the right thing to do & it nipped the media scandal in the bud & took the wind out of any sails.. Meghan invited none of her extended family or her dad & it caused massive media speculation.
Kate was born for royal life & is a natural. Very proud of our future queen. Her parents did an amazing job.

Mad as a box of frogs.
Seek help OP.

FFS I haven't listed them all ! You said I hadn't named anyone and you'd asked. You hadn't and I have. The invite list is out there if you want to look! For someone so obsessed you ought to see it

As for "poor" Doria, another obsession of yours along with the Clooneys!
I think you're on the wind up. Start a thread pretending to praise the Middletons but light the blue touch paper on Meghan instead

Ihateboris · 18/09/2026 13:09

Off point, but Meghan is absolutely stunning. I don't think I've ever seen a bad photo of her..

I don't understand 'poor Doria' either. She was seated right amongst the Royal family in the best pews up front, not shunted into a back row!

Reading a summary for 15 minutes in your chauffeured car, then cutting a ribbon for 5 minutes, and spending 20 minutes talking to people ain’t exactly a hard day’s graft.

I am very much a Republican and although the work of the Royals cannot be compared to that of a minor or factory worker or an NHS nurse or doctor, for example, even I recognise that a lot more goes in to charity visits than cutting ribbons and wearing a nice frock.

There will be lots of prep in advance, arranging for the right people to advise, memorising policies and names, reminding themselves of activities since they last visited etc, briefings from experts, and then lots of follow up admin.

Now I know the royals don’t do all of that themselves but they can’t walk in to these things unbriefed. FWIW I think Katherine does a professional job.

Grin

It certainly was a feat. They played the game very well and it paid off. The pièce de résistance being the catwalk show in her undies - fucking genius!

I am being serious now - it is such a shame their talent is wasted - this amount of planning and changing tack and adopting and adjusting - surely there must be some CEO transformative roles - like rescue and recovery for companies or organisations?

But she was the only family member present! For such a huge event that's plain odd.

Important to remember that 10 minute phone calls count as engagements…..

Her style is impeccable.

I'm not particularly into the royals, but have always had the impression William got lucky partnering with someone from a very stable family so young.

Personally I've seen a few IRL examples of people who had more difficult family backgrounds really benefitting from having that kind of thing in their lives from their teens/early 20s onwards.

LeedsLoiner · 18/09/2026 13:19

"Kate and The Middletons"?
I think I saw them at Beautiful Days a couple of years ago on the second stage not my kind of thing really.

Hardly odd when they're selling stories to the world's press about you!
Her father was meant to give her away.
Didn't happen so KC stepped in.

She does appear the be the only family member who wasn’t trying to sell stories……

And the background work to prepare those 15 minute engagements could take hours of research, factor in time travelling to get to said engagement etc & the small matter of raising our future king!

I can assure you those 15 minute do not take hours of research conducted by the Royal person concerned. They will have a bullet point brief to read. They have a team.

dottiedodah · 18/09/2026 13:34

Kate is not lazy, she has been visiting and supporting Cancer Patients and climbed the 3 peaks challenge in 24 hours! I dont think Meghan is terrible and to be blamed for everything .however Americans have different ways to us and there may be a clash of personalities coming to play. Kates family are very close and yes she is lucky

Look at the way she has treated her family especially her father... she is no role model for my children!
Look at the way Ham have treated their own children, moving them accross to start at a new school & pulling them out after two days!

i thought you started this thread to talk about Kate and her parents. yet you keep posting stuff about how bad Meghan is.. is that the only way you can make Kate sound good? by bashing Meghan??

Let’s not descend to criticising women’s looks please.

All of us have one-off photos of ourselves that look awful.

Meghan is an absolutely beautiful woman as is Katherine.

How ironic when Ham made a living selling out the royal family!!! Oprah, Netflix, Spotify! They must have been inspired by the Markles! Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery!
And are now begging to be working royals again & have us taxpayers pay their security bill!!!

I agree with this. Meghan is absolutely beautiful as is Catherine. I do prefer Megan's style & her causal wear but both women are beautiful.

OP please go back to what your thread is supposed to be about
Your endless criticism of Meghan is repetitive and boring
