Er well they were 6 years ago. It'd a clear statement and also interesting that there's the mention of not using HRH which Meghan has done, it feels much like a boundary is being drawn around this going forward especially now they are back in the UK.

But this is Trump. Next time he wants a distraction from some less welcome story, one that would play well to his supporters, deporting Harry or even just bringing him in for questioning is exactly the kind of power play he loves.
I am sure there are other factors but I think it is extremely likely this is part of the reason for the suddenness of their departure, either because he’s had a tip off or because he’s only just got it into his head what could happen.
Deporting a foreign prince would be a win for Trump and even more so given how much the right dislikes Harry and Meghan.

The letter didn't actually state anything new. Just reiterated what was already agreed by the late Queen Elizabeth. They were probably surprised that King Charles released the letter a week before the RAVEK meeting looking at if they should get tax paid for security. King Charles has made it perfectly clear they should not receive any public funding and any charity work they choose to do is as private individuals so nothing to do with royal family so not tax payer funded in any way. If they paid for their own security in the US they should pay for their own security in UK. There is no difference. Harry bragged about killing lots of Taliban now he's made himself, his wife and DC with targets on their backs so now he has to pay to keep them all safe. Lady Louise was working in a garden centre serving members of the public and no security for her. I think Harry is only back in the UK as he has issues with his visa. Again bragging about taking drugs. Harry is his own worst enemy.

Well, Harry is actually royal and meghan is royal by marriage, but they're not working members of the royal family anymore.

Just as princesses Beatrice and eugenie are both royal although not working members.

Their HRH styles not being used doesn't stop them being royal.

I think he’s hoping to get his feet back under the royal table but because she’s not likely to be getting rose petals thrown at her feet she’ll bugger off back to the USA. No idea how that will work where the kids are concerned but everything they’ve touched has turned to rubble since they met so no doubt there’ll be a massive drama involved.

If they're genuinely "surprised" it's probably because they haven't fully accepted how much everyone has moved on since they left in January 2020. I imagine that while KC cares about them on a personal level, he wants them to shut up and get on with the private lives that they wanted. Yes, PH is the king's son, but William's family is in the spotlight now, they'd be the ones truly at risk from security threats.

This was the perfect opportunity for Harry to demonstrate he'd come home in good faith, looking to build bridges. All they had to do was say nothing and carry on getting on with their lives. And they couldn't even do that. Any sympathy I had left for him is rapidly dwindling.

I read somewhere that Harry is going to be making a film/documentary about his mother. I wonder if they're in the UK purely for that, and will go back to Montecito once that is done? Maybe the film studios photo was because that's where he's going to be working on this film?
