No, but they sound a mighty scary bunch!

😂

😂😂😂
I'd quite like them to appear and join in!

Anyone any further forward finding out why they left the US so suddenly?

Yes. How strange to "Find Freedom", then...scurry back.

For some odd reason I heard my h listening to some stuff online today. It was referring to the fact that Harry has alerts set on his phone ( don't ask me how) and he is alerted to whatever article is said about them. I'm sure it's piffle. It sounds fishy but imagine if you were living your life like that.

Just feeds into his already existing paranoia.

AustenitesUnite · 08/09/2026 07:33

My DH's explanation to our DD about the events of yesterday -

"When the Big Book of Life was handed out, Prince Harry's book had most of the pages missing and Meghan's copy was totally different to everyone else's. So now King Charles is trying to educate them, but it's too late, far too late . . . "

It really is paranoia. Seriously, he needs help.

Private individuals supporting charities isn't meaningless @Passingthroughagain Famous people attending events boosts morale and helps the workers feel "seen" and can help get the name out there.
(Obviously royal visits are in a different league with even very sensible staff members getting excited 😊)

I didn't mean meaningless in that way - I meant meaningless in the charities spending loads of money to host H & M and still not getting official Royal endorsement.

I really want to hear from HAM sympathisers on this.

I have my theories just as many pps on here have.

But what do their fans think? It would be fascinating to hear their view on why the HAMs have returned. One pp was good enough to respond to my question upthread but only to say they had no idea.

Come on - if you think they’re the good guys in this scenario, why on earth have they landed back in the UK after finding freedom in a Californian paradise?

Yes, it's intriguing, isn't it?
Tumbleweed...

StrawberryWasp · 08/09/2026 07:51

One thing I think gets forgotten is that they were given a year to think about it and decide if this was what they really wanted.
HMTQ knew they didn't really understand what they were asking for, what it would mean, or the consequences, so she gave them a cooling off period and a way out.

They were so full of hubris however they barrelled ahead claiming 'freedom' and attempting to destroy and harm the family and the institution they'd left, in a foolish delusion that they would be the feted victors.

They were given a way back and they trashed it.

They are now too foolish, too ego centric, too delusional about their importance to realise: it's done. You got what you asked for. Now go and live with it.

That is what Charles is telling them.

Mylovelygreendress · 08/09/2026 07:56

It has probably been mentioned but I do find it interesting that there is no personal touch to the statement. No “ HAM remain much loved members of the family” etc.
It’s a very clinical statement and you can almost sense the frustration .

Yes, very restrained, very clear.

MidlyConcerned · 08/09/2026 07:58

This bit had me spitting feathers There isn’t another person alive for whom the government demands 28 days’ notice simply because they want to enter their own country.

No you imbecile you have to give 28 days’ notice if you want security! You can easily slip into the UK without notice.

He genuinely gives me the rage! No fucks given for the poor police that would have to drop everything if he had decided to fly into the UK without notice.

Police leave cancelled, rotas rearranged, family plans abandoned. All because an entitled dick can’t be assed giving 28 days’ notice.

Ahhhhh what is it about that he doesn’t understand??

A year to think and reflect if it was a wise move..

I thought that, but then again it's not a statement directly from the King. Whereas the Queen's Megxit "much loved" statement had her signature on it.

StrawberryWasp · 08/09/2026 08:02

Charities will still get headlines and publicity from HaMs involvement as private individuals.

They won't however get the organisation and security provided as with a royal patron. Either the charity will have to organise things themselves or the 'office of' HaM will have to pay for it all themselves.

Despite posing as philanthropic thought leaders I doubt HaM want to spend all their personal money on supporting charities so their involvement will be limited.

As they discovered with Archewell you need to be seriously wealthy to be prepared to spend your time and own money promoting charities.

They imagine philanthropy is being paid and feted for your compassion. Instead of it being a way for the mega wealthy to distrubute their disproportionate wealth.

Yes, it's a clarification letter signed by the Lord Chamberlain and sent to organisations and officials. It's not a statement made by the King himself after a decisive agreement between both parties. It's also about one aspect of things - Harry and Meghan as private citizens who do not represent the royal family.

Mylovelygreendress · 08/09/2026 08:08

I am pretty sure that friends/ sources will have plenty to say today in an attempt to overshadow George starting at Eton .

Oh my god. His ignorance and arrogance. Why would you wade into a conflict like that.
Leave well alone! Fool

And especially for someone who openly expressed his contempt for history (to his master at Eton).

You’re a dim ignoramus, Harry. Don’t meddle in politics or foreign affairs, you idiot.

NoEligibilityRequirementsApply · 08/09/2026 08:19

I'd love to join in. I have read most of these threads (and may have been on a few under various names).

The letter yesterday had me calling my BFF and we screeched over it for ages in joyful schadenfreude. It's just about time the entitled ones got put back in their boxes. All that goodwill, all their advantages and rivileges and they squandered it by being mean-minded, petty, vengeful, vicious and disingenuous.

Tell 'em Fuck' em as my dear old dad used to say when particularly irritated by something.
