He could hardly write, 'pin your ears back you lazy greedy pair of whining grifters. You're not working royals so don't even think about acting like you are. Everybody's been told that you are ordinary citizens. Get that. So yah boo sucks. Go away and have a nice life.

Would have been fun though

I sometimes feel Prince Harry would have done well to read up about the Duke of Windsor. He may have learned a thing or two about trying to live a royal lifestyle whilst not being part of the Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess of Windsor ended up as two lonely, pathetic old people. Sad, very sad but I can see history repeating itself . . .

I don't think he has ever read anything tbh

Starryfifty · 08/09/2026 12:43

It's very clear from HAM that they fully intended to merch off the HIHO idea. The fact they are clapping back this way is very telling

Agreed. They really don’t see how transparent they are and that they have been rumbled by the palace without much difficulty 😎

Starryfifty · 08/09/2026 12:48

Joking aside, what do we think they will do now? Stay in UK? How will they "earn a living " ?

Chrysanthemumsinpots · 08/09/2026 12:48

I think Princess Anne’s genuine equestrian talent probably did a lot to make her. Having something she was good at (albeit requiring considerable financial input to sustain) meant she was respected in her own right for her talent in that area amongst her peers. It also linked to general estate management which stood her in good stead with her estates providing her with an interest, income, privacy and a retreat from Royal life. And that in turn would have been a good example to her children.

There are loads of Netflix Originals that never take off, she was ultimately lucky that Suits did.

@Mylovelygreendress if it is ok with everyone else please continue to post the blind links, just with a warning - I do like reading them (with a shovel or salt) but I find it difficult to wade through all the other rubbish on X

Ok but I will add a warning as i don’t want to offend anyone .

I don't know how they will make money but I've got a strong feeling they won't settle in the UK. The problem is ~ where else could they go? I don't think the Australians would put up with them for 5 minutes, they didn't seem to like Canada and they've burnt so many bridges in the USA. My best guess is they may try Portugal but I don't think they will stay.

They seem so restless, lurching from one thing to another, never achieving anything. I don't think they will ever find what they're looking for . . .

Also, she never complained about her lot as she went down in the LoS from actually being the Spare.
She's managed to forge her own life without all that bloody whinging Harry is wedded to.

No idea. It's tricky when you're in your 40s and have a bit of a reputation.

And we still don't know where their nest is!

I don't care, as long as it's a long way away from me.

Like any other wasp nest.

Well….the thing is …that statement doesn’t just apply to the U.K. does it? …..it also signifies the same to any commonwealth country and those who have Charles as HOS too doesn’t it! , so I imagine they will need to travel further afield.

Too tiring. Long hours. Too much standing up. Not enough acknowledgement of Royal Status.

Yes, their options are quite limited! I would love to have a crystal ball and see where they are in 5, 10, 15 years time !!!!!

MrsLeonFarrell · 08/09/2026 13:06

So we now have confirmation that Harry doesn't understand how the monarchy works. He expects to be consulted in advance of statements as if he is an equal stakeholder. The palace is making it clear that he isn't, that they will set parameters and that he can't expect to be treated as a working royal when he isn't.

I think it was a very unwise clapback from Team Sussex.

Also not surprising that Harry once again links everything back to security. He is the only one obsessed with RAVEC, everyone else is getting on with business a usual.

JudgeJ · 08/09/2026 13:06

DancingFerret · 08/09/2026 12:09

I did think that. Also, that they've been cleverly backed into a corner from which they can never escape.

They haven't been backed into a corner, they gambled and lost, they tried to force the King's hand by coming back to the country they were keen to leave and have done little but slag off for 6 years. They seem to want the half in, half out arrangement they demanded in 2020 but the late Queen refused it and now they have burned their bridges and no-one knows if Harry would be able to return to the US because of visa condition.

For you @RecoIIectionsMayVary .
NB I appreciate that some posters don’t like these blinds and that’s ok . They are of course rumours .

I asked mylovely, because despite knowing that it is of course gossip/rumours , posters had asked and not everyone has the access, I also think it’s unkind not to share info and posters will then feel left out of the loop , point complaints to me 💐

On the BBC website . . .

It is also understood a Home Office security committee is meeting today to look at the possibility of tax payer funded security for the family now they are living back in the UK

I think that’s why the timing of the statement. KC making his views on their security situation crystal clear ahead of those decisions.

Yes but I suspect that has a lot to do with having success built on her own efforts and talent. Not just relying on her association with the RF (though I am sure she recognises that for the opportunity it gave her to develop those talents).

The poses she struck in the photos spoke volumes.

If only Harry had been the character carefully constructed by the palace PRs and fed to a gullible public (us!), he would have seen the reality and run a mile.
