While the above quote would be entirely correct, can you not see it is made up gossip? No employee who would be within hearing distance in the King's private residence would spread that kind of gossip, so soon. They just wouldn't.
I love these threads and the schadenfreude is delicious, but can't bear this reporting if lazy rumour as fact.

i cannot see what benefit this ridiculous pair have to any charity? Publicity ? But is that enough? There are many many celebrities with untarnished reputations who would be much better options

... because the only issue for them was that they weren't equal to W&C. Oh, and people had the temerity to be critical.
They loved the hoo ha, bowing, titles, wealth, opportunities, carriage rides etc. they're like ultimate royals.
Therefore they want Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to have it, too.

I imagine Plan B is a round of tell all interviews, documentary etc but I do not see the public appetite for it

I don’t see how this could happen if their parents aren’t. Royal children are brought up to do that stuff.

It would be weird, too, because one of H’s constant moans has been about the “trapped” nature of royal life. Why would Hand M want to condemn their children to that fate.

I understand what you're saying but Royal children are 'eased' into the Royal life by attending suitable engagements with their parents who can guide them through all the meeting and greeting etc

H&M do not have the opportunity to do this (thank goodness!) and have made it obvious (for the time being) that their children cannot be seen by the public. So are they hoping to launch them as working Royals without any experience or training? As with most H&M 'strategies' I just don't get it . . .

I think they will continue with plan A, pushing the fake royalness as much as they can. The only hope is that some institutions may think twice before being associated with these two.

It's all flim flam.

It's now being reported the Sussexes WERE sent a copy of the letter, so there's no surprise to be had! Honestly, their spokesperson must be tearing their hair out. Every day they're made to look like a complete numpty due to H&M's significant memory loss.

Two things can be true at once though. They could have been sent the letter a bit before it was made public yet still surprised by the actual content/tone/implications.
Not to mention that it effectively scuppers their plan to take over the world from the Cotswolds.

Their surprise at the letter reminds me of that palace comment about mistaking tea and a slice of cake for the Treaty of Versaille. Because Harry doesn't listen the only thing the palace can do is make it clear to everyone else what his status actually is.

Is there a good podcast about this sort of shenanigans?

I know this is HaM thread, but I have to butt in with the news that AMW is still living the high life, jetting off with his new girlfriend apparently. No sign of any arrest warrant or anything? And I'm sure his Norfolk farmer's cottage is being refurbished to within an inch of its life. If that's where he's actually living and it's not a cover for some other pad elsewhere!

Just to bring HaM back in, I wonder if they will have tea with AMW some time?

I assume the children aren't going to school currently, otherwise it would definitely have leaked out. Just wondering when the council will send their attendance officers round?

My view is the Palace may once again be trying to get ahead of some distasteful curve in the same way they did with MW.

While the wording of the statement is very satisfactory indeed on the surface I do think it's a bit odd they've finally broken their silence of years even though we're obviously meant to correlate it with the Big Return.

Harold doesn't have the UK press on his side (understatement!) and I do think they're aware of significant dirt which means the palace know too. DM especially has the gloves off since the court ruling and the white pill journo works for them and has already opened hostilities.

I'm watching with interest.

The children of Anne, Andrew and Edward are not working royals and are the equivalent of Archie and Lili.

The idea that you can have parents who are not working royals, who reject the whole institution, and personally attack the key players in it, and then their children 20 years later when their supposedly evil uncle is King can now get a job back with the firm is so absurd it's laughable and an indication of their delusional thinking.

I think they knew exactly what they wanted - at least MM did. She arrived in the UK with her agents, lawyers, PR and accountants in tow with only one goal - A list Hollywood elite using RF status to catapult her there. She was never staying on Salty Island.

In their year of reflection the team of agents, lawyers, PR, etc pulled off a blinder - OW interview, housed in luxury by Tyler Perry, multimillion $$$ deals with every media possible - NF, Spotify, PRH.

The were doing exceptionally well. But they used their platform for negativity, revenge, spite and bitterness. If they had stopped to think and generated content that was positive, uplifting, interesting etc it could have been sustainable.

Neither of them have any talent or vision or any ability to build relationships or businesses - they will always be tripped up by their emotional dysregulation and the inability to not react in a defensive way or see everything in a defensive victim way as a personal slight to them.

They have squandered the lot. Money, relationships, opportunities - their reputations. They are just a laughing stock now around the world - a couple of grandiose and delusional fools that inadvertently provide massive revenue generating opportunities for their hated media every time they open their mouths without making a penny for themselves but in fact diminishing any brand value they ever had. And they serve up this soap opera entertainment to be ridiculed daily for free.

Re living as private citizens bit- Anne and Edward are working royals so we get to see what they do when they're working. When they're not working, we don't know what they're doing so why can't HAM look at that and follow suit? I know, because they don't want to! Idiots.
