GBNews reporting Harry and Megan moving back to the UK

GBNews are reporting that Harry and Megan are moving back to the UK at the end of August.

I won't believe it until I hear it on the BBC.

I'm saying that a few people moving from country A to country B is not a story of any importance.

There's a public interest aspect in that taxpayers had to bear the cost of defending H's proceedings about security, which suddenly apparently isn't an issue any more. Has he paid the costs of that?

And of course, they know the kids faces will be seen at major events they have to attend anyway

They won't be working royals. They won't have to attend any major events, and the children certainly won't have to. They might choose to attend more low key events such as Christmas at Sandringham, but they don't have to.

Surely it's because they ran out of money and options.

i think they can see the writing on the wall. Ie Americans don’t really care that much about them or any of their unsuccessful ventures. They become more irrelevant (and more of a laughing stock) with each passing year over there. Being in the UK is ultimately more lucrative for them. Fair enough!

They are out of options in the US. In the UK they can set the the kids up as 'rivals' to the Wales children and capitalise on that. Im sure we will see their faces revealed shortly, probably at the same time as some other royal occasion so that it can be upstaged 🙄

Probably due to the fact that shes a known and documented bully. People did like her at first and were very enthusiastic about the engagement and wedding etc

Catherine faced real vitriol in the press too. It’s taken her a very long time to get them on side.

The criticism of Meghan was not primarily a race thing although I don’t deny there might have been the odd story or comment here and there with a racist angle. But overall, it was nothing of the sort.

Going further back Diana had a tough time with the press, but nothing compared to Ferguson who was ridiculed and lambasted.

Meghan wasn’t even viewed as black by many people as she’s so light-skinned.

Women joining the royal family are universally battered by the press. I’m not defending that as right but I’m pointing out that it wasn’t something exclusive to Meghan because of her race.

And of course, let’s not forget that Meghan invited more criticism when she chose to go on Oprah and tell a bunch of lies, before doing a documentary and mocking the Queen. It was open season on her after that, and of course, Harry too.

It’s extremely disingenuous to try and claim she gets a hard time because of her race. If that were true it would be despicable but generally, it’s simply not the case. She’s behaved poorly and reaping the rewards.

If they're not popular, why do the media keep mentioning them.with hashtags in royal stories on social media even if it's nothing to do with them?!
Can't remember what article it was in but I saw they were tagged in a Kate and William story the other week even though they were completely unrelated.
Edited to add they (as in the media in case it needs spelling out) must just want the clicks and engagement.
