GBNews are reporting that Harry and Megan are moving back to the UK at the end of August.

I won't believe it until I hear it on the BBC.

I think it’s crazy people think the move has anything to do with Charles’ illness. It’s clear Americans don’t really care about them, their ventures or royalty in general. This is purely a financial decision. They have no relevance outside the UK. I think H and M probably worry about Archie and Lilibet’s future. Don’t really see Americans being interested in them the way Brits will be.

I thought they left because they wanted privacy. Odd decision to make because they know they’ll never get privacy here but maybe that’s the plan because the money and interest in them is drying up in America.

Agree - two things can be true here. Meghan was subject to some racist coverage and also is a bit of a dick.

Why any parent would actively chose to send their children to school in the US, where school shootings are a widely tolerated risk, is beyond me. Their presence here won’t impact any of our lives. They deserve a peaceful and happy life just as anyone does.

They need to get back through that royal door while Charles is still alive, or else it will be closed against them forever.

Did H. ever get that USA Visa?

Last year he couldn't see a world in which he could bring his family here. Early this year he wasn't sure he could even manage his wife visiting for a few days. August this year, so much has changed he will settle here. At least for an extended time.
Could be changes in security due to Burnham. Could be the heatwave. Could be the Diana 30th anniversary (for love or money or both). But things have suddenly changed. Dramatically!

The obsession is wild. Which is why this move is batshit crazy. 6 years is just about the start of the settling. They will be hounded here. Am genuinely worried for their mental health. What in the name of Beelzebub are they thinking?!?! Also I hope everyone incl the Royal household and the media will do some self reflection and do better. Sadly I think social media is wilder. Racists are more emboldened. And a few of their friends might be more cautious with them. Crazy, ill advised move.

As a poc I do think it’s a bit of a cheek to come back after slagging Brits off as racist (Britain is by far one of the least racist countries ime). Meghan is just incredibly unlikeable and comes across as fake. The fact they conflated this with racism is frankly embarrassing!

Harry and Megan weren’t very kind to the Queen and the rest of the Royal family with that ridiculous Oprah interview.

I can't believe it. I don't understand why Meghan would to do this. They have to be nearly broke or they believe that William will imminently become King as they will be left with nothing (or both). I just can't picture any other motivation being strong enough. Meghan clearly hated her time in the UK. The move will radically reduce her options in Hollywood and as an influencer / lifestyle seller in the US market. The entire point of her jam was that it was made in the American Riviera. That's a much harder product to sell from the UK. What's she going to do here?

I know people are saying that they want a UK education for their children but I really doubt that that motivation is strong enough to lead to this move. The US will have good schools and a wide range of options for University. Uni matters much more than the primary school that you attend.

I'm absolutely shocked.

They court publicity and due to suing so many papers (and found to be lying) there isn't much love there.

In addition they behave badly, the USA press turned on them for being disaster tourists. They will do anything for attention but scream when the attention isn't to their liking.

They could have a private life but they don't want it.

I don't know them. As a young family I wish them well.
Nearly every decision they've made has ostracized the UK so it's an 'interesting' that they are moving back. I suspect finances will be behind it.

I do feel that they have been badly advised all the way through, from wanting to become part time royals (was never going to happen), the TV interviews, the book, the lifestyle brand - all have been poor, short-term decisions.

I thought they made an absolute mint off Spare and the Netflix doc. How can they actually have got through it all??

I don’t see how they think they will get more money by moving here, if that’s the reason for the move. What are they going to actually do for work?
