GBNews are reporting that Harry and Megan are moving back to the UK at the end of August.

I won't believe it until I hear it on the BBC.

That British republic didn't work out too well for Ireland either under Cromwell.

Reinstating the monarchy wasn't a genius move either.

A modern republic free of monarch chains would be a better approach.

You don't know the Prince and Princess of Wales - who is called Catherine, not Kate. They have not, at the least, told lies about their family and (tried to) make money out of it. (Should be more open about income from Duchy of Cornwall, though, and pay proper tax.)

I'm very entertained by the reaction of the pro H&M crowd including on this thread. It ranges from:

• Harry is making Meghan do this. This is a sign of how much she loves her husband. We must stand by her.
• The monarchy is in trouble and really needs Harry and Meghan.
• Harry is going to be offered a role in government and defence/Meghan is globally expanding As Ever and this is the first step in that.
• Charles is dying and they are here to say goodbye.

And some unhinged sentimental stuff like: oh the cousins will be together (will they? W&K refused to attend Lilibet's party, there is no sense that these kids who are much older than Archie and Lilibet even know their cousins), to 'the children will learn about the UK' (surely they could have learned about the UK any time they wanted?).

What makes this most amusing is the drama and the rigmarole a month ago over Invictus and the 'they are coming, they are not coming, oh he's coming but she's not coming, she's coming but won't be seen in public' drama. And now they are permanently moving here a month later. Come on!

Can't believe that a poster on here thought that calling a woman in remission from cancer "haggard faced" would reflect well on them.
