GBNews are reporting that Harry and Megan are moving back to the UK at the end of August.

I won't believe it until I hear it on the BBC.

I think this most closely aligns with what I believe might br going on. Frankly I'm absolutely amazed that he has been able to persuade Meghan to do it - she has never hidden her deep dislike of this country and his family. It's an incredible U turn and things must be a bit desperate. I would be interested to read a plain, unbiased, purely factual list of what H and M have embarked upon since leaving the UK and what the outcome of all those enterprises has been.

Things harry does seem to be involved in generally succeed/ last even when he's not involved anymore - where other teams are doing the "actual work" or running the organisation. E.g. Sentebale, Invictus, Travalyst, African Parks. He's never done these things alone, perhaps because he knows he can't actually, so is more of a figure head/representative etc

a d things M does seems to not 🤷 she seems to do things herself and they don't work out/carry on... Archetypes, As Ever/Jam, Pearl etc

The stuff they do together such as Oprah interview succeed....

I think the success factor is Harry, not himself as such, but his name/who he is holds weight and is useful publicity for the stuff attached to him, generating publicity etc

I would assume that if Meghan did a "faux Royal tour" it would not generate the interest that their joint"tours" do, and if Harry did a solo"tour " it would be more popular than Megan's.

Itv seem to be fans of them both. There’s a free spot on Loose Women, but she’ll probably get offended when she hears the if they offered it to her, the racist British calling her Loose 🤣

Judging on past form, no doubt they will fall out with everyone and move on to the next place.

I’m just back in Ireland after a weekend in London with my teen DD and her friend. I worked there for 6 years late 90’s and early 2000’s. It’s a wonderful place and we had a lovely time.

WillowTit · Today 08:55

i mean would a school even turn them down?

The Sussexes were not kind, to the the late queen or Philip, or to Kate. Nor really to William or Camilla. If Harry was my brother, I’d never speak to him again.

I think they must be on their uppers to come back to the U.K. and they must think we are very stupid.

I have never read their book or listened to their interviews but from what I have read here and elsewhere there is nothing in what they have said or done that deserves the vitriol. Or worth a cut off by a sibling. Its all so petty

Monty36 · Today 08:55

He is not the devil incarnate. But a fool. His work with Invictus is good.
He was a Prince but married a showgirl. And it has affected how he is seen.
He didn’t marry ‘well’. He thought he had.
She is manipulative. And a bit odd.
They have to pay off the Daily Mail. America is not so welcoming to them anymore.
They caused his Granny and Grandad, Charles and Catherine a great deal of stress.
We await the next chapter of an undignified soap opera.

WillowTit · Today 08:56

how do we know America is not so welcoming any more?

Lemonorzo · Today 08:57

I think they need to re-secure their links to the RF before it’s too late. I think most people, even their fans, see them as ex-royals now.

The faff when they start …

Dying to know where they will be based & what school.

‘Outside London’ - hmmmm thinking Chingford? Or Croydon??

WillowTit · Today 08:57

can they live in Allthorpe House?

WillowTit · Today 08:58

perhaps they should live in Bognor?

Monty36 · Today 08:58

WillowTit · Today 08:56

how do we know America is not so welcoming any more?

On two levels. One is political.
The other is they are bored with them. They have failed to continue to entertain with titbits of scandal related to their relatives.

Justdancevance · Today 08:58

Meghan will be on the next season of X factor singing ‘I dreamed a dream’ 🤣

KidsDoBetter · Today 08:59

WillowTit · Today 08:57

can they live in Allthorpe House?

Charles Spencer is pretty broke given he’s selling out with a book - so maybe he’s looking for lodgers??

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · Today 08:59

Heard it on R4 last night.
I suspect it’s a) financial, and b) it’s been dawning that America is sick of them.

I’m sorry this has been your experience. We have some beautiful parts of the UK with rich history and diverse culture. I hope you get to experience some of the positives before you return.

With the utmost respect to you, if the history curriculum wasn't sanitised in British schools, you would be horrified at your own history. Rich yes, albeit gained from murder and theft.

I agree that England has some pretty parts though.

If your sibling had told everyone you know about a private argument you'd had with your sibling, and also called into question your spouse's behaviour ,and told everyone how awful you are to them all the time, shared private medical information and that you're to blame for everyone thinking badly of them etc...

You'd be cool with that?

I feel so sorry for the Prince and Princess of Wales. They must have rejoiced thinking that the Sussexes were safely in the US and now here they are on their doorstep. What a thing to wake up to!

I’m pretty happy with the RF we already have here.

How is Christmas going to work as an example? I’m not sure that the walkabout at Sandringham will work with them there.

Is this going to be on of those slow reintroduce them to the RF company things that the royals do?

I personally don’t have an issue with PH and M they just seem confused and overly emotional. However I did feel upset for PP and TQ in their final days and years. I also feel that KC was treated shabbily especially when he walked her down the aisle. I never thought him as racist as it’s as everyone knows that he had a crush on one of the three degrees. I felt sorry for the POW as she had so much to contend with. Again I feel that she was tarred unfairly and whatever she may have or may not have said were wrongly interpreted. How can all that ever be overcome?

So overall not sure how this will all work out or what motivated the sudden move.

I imagine they’ll just go to her parents for Xmas and keep out the way. Then when Charles dies they’ll be in charge and ham and marks won’t be allowed through the door at Sandringham.

I hope you get to leave soon, as it’s so bad for you.

LindorDoubleChoc · Today 09:01

"The media had printed a story with a cartoon image of a prince walking up the aisle with a chimp as a bride, yet the British people STILL refute her claims she was subjected to racism."

Incorrect. Check your facts!

Sounds bad, maybe it’s an experience you’re having. Not everyone does.

That isn't my experience. They are facts, in that the British bow to a royal family.

It's obviously not that bad otherwise she would have found a job already in Ireland and left by now. But instead is "stuck" here 🙄

In the long term though they didn’t succeed with the Oprah interview. In fact they sewed the seeds of their downfall with this very interview ( amongst others of course)
