Are the bets on or off for an invite to Balmoral?
Will Meghan bake a humble pie for Catherine?
Let’s discuss……!

OP posts:

I suspect that if KC did allow them back on some basis a) William would throw in the towel and just go and live a private life somewhere and b) it wouldn't be long before something upset Meghan again and they'd rush back to the States to do another round of interviews and films about their cruel treatment.

God, I hope not, because if none of his kids wanted the job either, it would be King Harold and Queen Meghan.

SqueakyDinosaur · Today 16:05

I do think whenever you see KC with Catherine and/or the kids, it is patently obvious that he absolutely adores all of them.

I do not for a minutes think that anyone in the institution is considering HIHO. The palace doesn't make many announcements because it operated on the assumption that once it has commented on a situation that situation is settled. That approach is at odds with a 24/7 news cycle and social media but they aren't changing.

With that in mind, we know that the Sussexes were given a year to reconsider their exit, and they didn't. We know that Charles has made it clear they are making their lives abroad and we know that any interaction between them and Charles is a private matter on which the palace won't comment. There is no evidence there is a way back into working royal life.

My point upthread was, leaving the reality aside I can't see how any such move would even benefit the Sussexes or bring them whatever it is they want out of life.

Very thin article here about the Portuguese property. They have “bought”. Inside Meghan and Harry’s £6.3m Portuguese paradise

Video here, Catherine literally has to shake Meghan off her.

OMG - I'd forgotten about that "mean girl power move" that Meghan did at around 2.54 when Catherine is speaking - where she turns away, flicking her hair, smirks and rolls her eyes to Harry.

Meghan totally thought she was superior to Catherine.

HoldMyWine · Today 16:30

She is a complete bitch

I agree that anywhere on the spectrum from full blown HIHO, down to public appearances with KC3 at public events or even private extended family moments in photos or even referred to is totally off the table.

MM doesn’t accept this tho. Hence the tantruming that’s been going on for years.

Beesandhoney123 · Today 09:50

Perhaps Mr Foster is on the look out for his 5th wife. Or suddenly realised M had him.on her radar and that was the snub reason.

M has no reasons to refuse to return to the UK. Apart from no one likes her. But she doesnt care about that. The woman thrives on drama. They will return, because fighting from the inside - here- makes more sense.

The only question is where will they live- no one will put then up, even the Althorps, and they will struggle to sell the white elephant house.

So they need a base, and a home. They have no money and no cachet.

Did M really lead prayers on set? What fresh hell is this? Is she that religous? Is the movie industry religious? Does she lead prayers at home? Does H pray now or sit morosly with a pint and a fag watching his wife peformance pray?

From Betrayed -

“The atmosphere in the studio changed (when she met PH) . Some actors and staff discovered that Meghan’s attitude occasionally stiffened. Sometimes she arrived late and her empathy occasionally morphed into near-arrogance. Meghan had markedly shifted from the early days when she held a prayer meeting with the Suits cast before filming started.”

From Finding Freedom

“She used to gather the cast and crew of Suits for a prayer circle before starting work.”

I couldn't watch the whole thing as Meghan just spouts rubbish. Its like a reel in her head clicks in and she only has one speech on it which gets shoe horned into every time. When they did this fab4 thing we'd not heard the reel before so it did make her look quite articulate in front of the cameras, but now we've heard it a million times its just so fucking boring.

I agree. I remember at the time thinking MM’s polished, dynamic, intelligent, glossy and go-getting …. and I did think Catherine looked uptight and frumpy in comparison. I wasn’t really interested in the RF then but will admit those first impressions were impactful. However since we have all seen her subsequent behaviours and now know her to be of zero substance, all word salad as well as a brittle, grandiose, grifting, grasping delusional bully. I can imagine that PC had had an absolute bellyful of her disruptive and disrespectful shenanigans by that point.

My only thought was her total arrogance - to actually think that her mindless drivel was of any interest to W or C. As for Harry, he was still madly in lust and could see nothing wrong here.

Catherine was really pregnant, with 2 other small children, at this point, plus we know early pregnancy was difficult for her. Who looks glamorous pregnant, I certainly didn't.

The bottom line though for me is that even if Meghan does see herself in competition with Catherine I think it's pretty clear that Catherine has competed back. Catherine strikes me as someone who knows who she is, what her role is, what she wants out of life and behaves accordingly. Meghan's antics don't affect her at all.

Yes arrogance is one of the 4 narc personality traits alongside entitlement, grandiosity and delusion.

But often there is an incredible capacity for superficial charisma which gets these characters pretty far in life - but they are often on the run as they never deliver so are frequently rumbled. But once you see the pantomime / nonsense / shenanigans you can’t unsee it.

Obvious advertorial, with the Sussexes as the 'hook'. Note that they're 'said' to have bought a house. No confirmation that they actually did. I'm pretty sure they did not, and this 'article' just confirms for me that they're getting free holidays there as part of a promotional campaign. In other words, they're influencers.

I agree with you. This was a difficult time for C physically and emotionally without having to deal with the manipulative, grandstanding spite of MM. it’s very very hard and confusing when someone so troublesome enters your family life or workplace. If you’ve not come across it before it can be very disruptive and distressing.

Absolutely purple. Absolute grifters both families, the Sussexes and the Yorks. Birds of a feather!

Which is why the institution/establishment/ MIGs will keep KC3 in check and not sanction any move that might cause W & C to reconsider their future.

That’s why republicans like Harry and want him back. The baldy cuckoo in the nest.

Only some ( 🤔 ) republicans feel this way …there are many here posting with us now who feel exactly as we do about ham and their shenanigans.

Reading these threads has had me thinking back to the days when Markle first hove into view. It was obvious to me (I know, but honestly it was obvious) she was a complete fraud - and not a very nice one at that.

So many people were gushing about Harry's new "girl" - and anyone who voiced concern was immediately accused of the R word, especially by the "girl" herself who traded heavily on her biracial heritage, despite describing herself as Caucasian on her CV.

Who else had her number from the get-go?

Possibly not from the get go @DancingFerret but I was surprised when H issued the statement demanding that the press leave M alone . Many , including a couple of journalists, said they had never heard of her ! The timing also caused raised eyebrows given that the then POW was overseas on official business however it was the engagement interview which really made me wonder what M’s real plan was .

The engagement interview waved huge red flags for me - the audacity of her, taking control of the conversation, all the simpering and flirting. I'm a bit ancient and just thought....well, you're a right little madam aren't you?

BillyBites · Today 18:26

I didn't. I was genuinely pleased for him and, once I actually realised she was bi-racial, pleased that this might signal a refreshing new diversifying chapter for the Royal institution. I loved watching the wedding and thought it inclusive and a great blend of cultures (although I was puzzled by the apparent lack of any family members on Meghan's side).
And then came their African tour and "those" interviews and I thought, "Dear God, what the hell is happening here? This is NOT good!!!"
And here we are.

I recall seeing a pap-shot of her looking like the cat who'd got the cream. Wearing a necklace with the initials H and M. And thought then she was an attention-seeker.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · Today 18:28

I didn't take to her at all, but it was the dog's-breakfast-look at the engagement announcement - coat like a dressing gown, massive ill-fitting shoes, messy hair and weird arched back posing - that got my Spidey-senses really going. Then the twenty billion pound (or whatever it was) engagement photo shoot dress. I thought, 'The Queen won't like that!' Then it was downhill all the way, really.

I did upbraid myself for my unpleasant and judgemental nature, but after a bit I thought it was more her than me, really.
